Suddenly, the aftertaste kicked in.
"Ow! God, this stuff does a number on your throat!"
After creating some cool water for both of them...
"I was trying to say it tasted of coke, but that burn makes it feel more like motor oil."
Chris started laughing too.
He hadn't had this much fun in years.
"So you said you can control water? To what extent?"
Yes, it was small talk, but it felt good around Atalia.
Well its not my most advanced power...I can manipulate it into different shapes, seperate it, and if I'm trying really hard I can make it rain. Not to impressive." she said with a smile."
"Hmm..."
Chris started thinking.
"Does that mean you could take the aftertaste out of this punch? Because I think everyone would appreciate it if you did."
Atalia thought for a moment.
"I can try." she said and set her cup on the table
She focused on the punch and once she had a feel for it she started moving her hands up and down. As she moved her hands a gross brown liquid came out of the punch. After a few moments all of it was levitated in the air and soon it was in an empty chip bowl next to the punch bowl.
"Well that was easier than I thought." Atalia said with a smile
Chris was impressed.
"Now, let's see if it works..."
He took another drink.
"Hey, this is great!"
He was expecting half of the hall to congratulate her, but nothing happened. I guess that nothing surprises these people...
Atalia smiled and did a small bow
"Thank you thank you." she said and stood up and decided to try it herself.
IT really wasnt half bad!
"Good idea Chris!" she said with a smile.
