It wasn't often you'd find Gabe in the music labs, in fact it wasn't often you'd find Gabriel Black practising his bass. He loved to play it and when he did he'd be at it for hours on end but more often than not he was far too lazy.

He'd wanted an excuse to meet up with his boyfriend though and so he had promised to play a couple songs on his bass for William. He was secretly hoping Bill would sing for him, he remembered one of their first conversations had been about Bill singing, yet he knew deep down the boy probably would not. He was far too shy . Still a man could dream.

Gabe checked his phone, William was supposed to be here within the next ten minutes. He sent him a quick text anyway, as a reminder, 'hey, u still ok 2 meet @ music lab in 10 mins, gabey baby xo'. The whole 'xo' thing was more ironic than anything else but Gabe always put it on regardless. Besides he would give William the hug and kiss when he arrived.

<div align=center>'Maybe if you'd learn to spell I'd hurry up x.' The boy typed back, shaking his head a little, and pushing his cell phone back into his pocket. He was later than he said he'd be, he'd been helping someone find their way to their dorm, he'd felt bad for them, remembering how lost he'd been when he'd first arrived here, he still got lost more than frequently, but at least now he could find his way around using what he knew as 'landmarks.' He didn't completely know his way to the music room, he'd only been in there once or twice, and had left his guitar in his bedroom, he was unlikely to play for anyone for a little while, he wasn't all that confident in his skills as a musician.

He was only around five or six minutes late in the end and he apologized for it, though didn't explain the situation, he didn't feel a need to. He'd gone back to his dorm before anyway, only to take his coat off and put on a patchwork sweater that perhaps looked around as old as he was. It was warm and soft, he didn't really recall where it had come from, but he'd had it for a long time, Bill had really had most of his clothes for a long time, he never really had any money to buy more, so tended to wear the same things day in day out. "Hi."</div>

Gabriel tapped on the face of his watch,
"You're late, Mr. Beckett," he teased. He stood up to embrace the boy, it was awkward however as he had to put down his bass, and pressed a quick soft kiss to his lips. "Hello." He giggled.

"I must say Bill, I am loving the sweater." It was very <i> cute </i> although it looked like it had seen far better days. "So tell me, were you up all night pining for me?" He laughed, they had only seen each other the day before yet it felt like a lifetime ago. "You must have missed me terribly."

<div align=center>Bill frowned a little, "I was elsewhere." He murmured, shying away from the kiss just a little, he still wasn't fully used to the fact that kisses were a regular thing now, and that it was normal and expected rather than William just being a little bit too affectionate. He returned the kiss, though coyly at that. He pushed himself against Gabriel, and lazily hooked both arms around his waist, cuddling him lazily. He stayed there for a little while, feeling fuzzy and sleepy, it was likely he'd woken up from a nap but a little while ago, William napped more often than not.

He pulled away and punched Gabe lightly in the arm, playfully pushing him away and muttering something. "Don't count on it, asshole." He stuck his tongue out, though quickly reconciled his insult with a small, gentle kiss to the underside of Gabriel's jaw. "Maybe I missed you a little bit." He murmured, shuffling his feet on the carpet and giggling quietly, he stared up at him, a small, boyish smile upon his features, exposing the slightly crooked teeth at the front of his mouth. The usual, childish air floated around him as it normally did, there were rare occasions when it wasn't there, when William's mood was different or the situation was different.</div>

"And by elsewhere, where exactly do you mean?" Gabe was nosy and curious, but more so nosy. "What could be more important than hanging out with me?" He chuckled. Gabe pulled William closer to him. He liked having the boy so close, it was a pleasant feeling.

"Asshole?" Gabe repeated, "I'm offended!" Although that was the exact thing Gabriel often insisted he was. Gabe softened when William told him he had missed him, "aw you're so sweet. Believe it or not I missed you too." He ruffled William's hair, "and I missed being able to do this."

<div align=center>The boy frowned a little, he liked the thought of romance but this was perhaps just a little too touchy feely for him. He batted Gabe's hand away and muttered something, he felt like he was being patronized and he didn't like it. He sunk down onto the chair that Gabe had previously been sitting on, and stared up at him, he wasn't used to all this, and as much as William loved comfort and affection, too much of it made him feel just a little bit overwhelmed, though that was just new feelings, he wasn't completely sure of how relationships worked, he never knew what to do when Gabe was cute like this, he'd just smile awkwardly and laugh, or perhaps return a kiss if one had been given.

He growled softly, and reached a hand up to fix his hair again, he'd since gained a new pair of hair straighteners and he was glad of them, Bill's hair wasn't really all that straight, and flicked up in soft little waves if he got it wet or if he had been sleeping. He pouted a little, and lifted an eyebrow at Gabe, "someone needed help so I gave it to them." He stated idly, shrugging, he didn't really understand why it was all that important. "How can you have missed me," he mumbled, "I saw you less than fifteen hours ago." He sounded a little confused.</div>

"What's with the frowny face?" Gabe asked, suddenly serious. "Have I done something to upset you?" He couldn't understand what he could have done yet he asked anyway. It didn't hurt to ask, he supposed.

"Sorry, if I'm being too affectionate," he shrugged, "I guess our whole relationship is pretty new, perhaps I'm overdo-ing it, like the honeymoon phase or something." After all it was William's first relationship, so all of this was fresh news to him.

"Hey, no need to be so aggressive!" Gabe exclaimed, "I'm only playing with your hair." Bill hadn't minded last night. Then again it looked like he had done something to his hair today. "Oh, were they okay?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Well I did, I can't explain why." Gabe shrugged, "I just did."

<div align=center>William blinked, Gabe had just said an awful lot to him and he was just a tad confused, he chose not to reply to any of it though. His eyes flickered to an old, slightly battered guitar sat in the corner of the room, he pushed himself up from his seat away from Gabe and to the instrument. He picked up, and sank to the floor, sitting cross legged on the carpet. He strummed it and winced, out of tune. His hand drifted up the neck and to the head, his fingers preying on one of the tuning keys. It'd been a little while since he'd picked up a guitar, he'd simply been too busy.

It didn't take him long to tune it, he had been playing for a little while, and the way the notes were supposed to sound were accustomed to his ear now and he liked the way they sounded, he played a chord, and then another, before placing the instrument back in the corner, though he remained cross legged on the floor, feeling just a little bit awkward. This didn't seem much like a date, Bill's idea of a date was fancy dinners and nice gifts. He supposed this was nice enough though, at least Gabriel was making an effort to talk to him.</div>

Gabe didn't cope well with being ignored, and he also didn't cope well with silence. For that reason he tugged on Bill's sleeve,
"Don't ignore me please! If you're angry with me please tell me." Gabe liked to know where he stood with people. Especially people who meant a lot to him. Although he still wasn't sure why Bill meant so much to him, considering they didn't know each other all that long.

Gabe smiled as William picked up the guitar. It looked like he was going to hear him play after all, and perhaps, sing? . He pouted when William put it away, "play a song Bill! For me?"

<div align=center>William wasn't angry with Gabriel, he just didn't really have anything to say to him, nor did he know what to say to him. If he thought about it, the two didn't really have all that much in common. He giggled when Gabe tugged at his sleeve though, and let his hand slip to meet his. He let out a short sigh, and frowned up at him, "m'not." He answered, his frown changing to a small, reassuring smile. William didn't like to make people think he was upset with them, especially if he had no reason to be upset with them, "I just don't really know what to say." He answered, he was quieter around Gabe at the moment than he had been before, it was evident that he felt awkward, but he couldn't explain why. His grip on Gabe's hand tightened suddenly, and he pulled him down to his level. Bill merely wanted to cuddle, he didn't know how to do anything else.

Though he suddenly froze up when Gabe asked him to play a song, "no." His words almost came out as a yell and all of a sudden there was a very cold atmosphere about him. "Please don't ask me to do that, I'm not very good there's no point." He attempted to rectify his sudden strange behavior with a tiny, apologetic kiss. He must have had his reasons for not wanting to, though that was probably because his ego was so tiny. "Honest, I suck."</div>
