Nia stood in the history section with her hands covering her face as her breath and heart rate rapidly increased. She was clearly distressed and on the verge of tears.

Talion could sense it as he neared the girl by coincidence. He couldn't identify what kind of trauma she was suffering from, but he could tell that it was bad, one of the worse he'd felt since returning to Earth.

Deciding not to let the girl suffer, he quietly stepped beside her, and quietly hummed a song as he looked at some books. He didn't need to say anything, at least not yet. He'd let his aura work its magic first, relieve a bit of her problems.

Once he was sure it'd had enough time, he turned to her, a kind smile on his face. "Hey there," he placed the book he'd been looking at back onto the shelf, "I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but notice." He gently brushed some hair out of her face, "what's the problem cutie? Pretty face like that should be smiling."

Nia's mind swirled, trying to remember which of the American History books she had read last. Normally she brought a note with her so she wouldn't forget, but she had forgotten the note today. She had hoped that looking at the books would remind her where she was in the series. Of course, she could always ask the librarians which book she had checked out last but she was too embarrassed. But...

But, maybe it wasn't such a big deal. After all, they knew she had amnesia. She was pretty sure she had told them before. Yeah, she had told them. They wouldn't think badly of her. Everything would be okay.

Just as it was registering with Nia that her thoughts had taken a sudden turn from their normal panic stricken pattern, she realized that someone had been standing beside her, humming softly. And now, he was talking to her.

"Mmm..." Nia mumbled as she slowly pulled her hands away from her face. There stood an attractive young man with a smile that matched the calming feeling she was experiencing. Despite this, a pit formed in her stomach and she felt her face flush. She turned her gaze away quickly and her fingers began to fiddle with her dress. "I uh...just having trouble remembering something..."

"Yeah, memory's a funny a thing," he said brushing his fingers over the cover of a book he'd pulled from the shelf, "often it reminds us of things we don't remember, then refuses to show us the memories we want to keep." He put the book back.

"I guess you could say the mind is like this library," he said, nodding to the book shelf beside them, "we enter, looking for the book with the info or story we need, only sometimes the book is blank or missing pages, so you sometimes have to dig s bit deeper to find more copies." He said it all with his smooth English accent.

"I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself," he smiled again, his emerald eyes shining with friendliness, "I'm Talion, just arrived recently to the island."

Nia's brow furrowed as she thought of his words. She had never come across a blank book before. And if any were missing pages that meant something either went wrong when it was made or someone damaged it on purpose and did not inform the librarians so they could fix it. These were signs of something poorly cared for or worse, blatantly mistreated.

She felt her heart begin to fill with sadness, but just as it filled, it drained itself. She couldn't understand what was happening. It was nice to have her emotions being a bit less cruel to her but it was quite unexpected and a bit unnerving. Now she was having anxiety about not having anxiety.

When the boy introduced himself, Nia turned her attention back to her conversation partner. "Oh, uh... It is nice to meet you Talion. My name is Nia." She had gotten much better at introductions but she still sounded like she was reciting a foreign ritual instead of naturally greeting a new face.

"Good to meet you Nia," he smiled, his hand still going over the books, "so, do you come here often? To the library?" He tilted his head, "I'm a little behind on things, so I'm come here to read and catch up on things."

His eyes lit up as he found the book he was looking for, a historical record of angels interacting with humans. "This island is full if so many things, both marvelous and some....maybe a but scary," he gestured to a table, "wanna sit and talk a bit?"

Taking his seat, he set his book down, "do you forget things often? he asked opening the book and looking at a section about the archangel Gabriel. "Memories are strange, some want to forget, or to remember things differently, but then would they not to remember what they've forgotten?"

All Nia could manage in response anymore was a dull nod or shake of the head as Talion asked her questions. When he asked her to sit she did so swiftly, thankful for the safety of a chair. Though her mind felt calmer, her physical body was still reacting to the stress she had just been through. Another one of her symptoms, a twitch in her left wrist, was acting up now. She placed her right hand on the left and tried to calm it.

She nodded again, "Yes I'm an amnesiac." She didn't often out right tell people that. But something about the calm her mind was in, despite her usual anxious habits, made her feel like she could tell this person anything.

He nodded, a calm look on his face, he wanted to help everyone he could, including this girl. She seemed so fragile, almost like a glass doll, "Someone once told me that everyone is looking for something, even if they don't realize it. Like searching, the most basic element of human human nature."

His finger tapped on the cover of his book, "Your search is for memories and the ability to keep them. A very personal search, one that must be frustrating at times." In truth he was still adjusting to this, helping people, it was odd, but it was his purpose.

"My search, is for those who need help," down to core of the conversation, the offer he had, "I'm a healer, but my healing does not focus on the physical , instead it focuses on the psychological." He looked at her, his look was soft and kind, "I might be able to help you."

Nia had been to see enough doctors at this point. Though her visits had gotten better with Aedan at her side, she still couldn't handle it well and therefore had not been able to receive adequate treatment for her amnesia. The school currently had her seeing a psychiatrist as they figured this was the best way to help her for the time being.

But something about this boy made her feel safe, a feeling she never experienced around a doctor. His offer to help heal her brought such a strong feeling of yearning that she could hardly contain herself. Her eyes grew wide and without even thinking she could feel her head nodding up and down.

"Oh yes.." The words escaped her lips. She felt like she was watching herself respond, "I would like help very much."

He nodded calmly, he'd found another person to help, his mission, his purpose, the reason he'd come back. "Now, when I help people it can be a little, odd at first," this was the difficult part, explaining his methods in a way that sounded non threatening, the method could be frightening to many. "It's simple, but unusual, and maybe a little invasive."

The young angel cleared his throat, "basically, I form a mental link between us, through think link I'll be able be able to enter your mind, see the problems directly." He was explaining it as calmly as he possibly could, he didn't want to scare her, she was already a timid girl, he could tell that much about her.

"Now, I'll be able to help this way," he continued on, "I'll be able to deal with the problems directly, fight them so to speak." He tilted his head, "the help might not be apparent all at once, it might take a few times before the affects are apparent, but it will help."
