At Agnes's very straightforward question, Bel shrugged, "I don't have to go with someone I guess..." she mused, having not considered the possibility before of going alone. "I just have never been to an event without a date," she confessed, very aware that she probably sounded somewhat like a pampered and fawned over socialite - which was actually far from the truth, but appearances were what people saw first, and most judged Bel on them.
"I don't have many friends here yet," she confessed shortly as she looked at Agnes and smiled at her words about the men being cowards for not being able to handle her. "You know, you are right. A real man or woman should be able to handle a real woman, one with spirit, slightly bitchy at times..." she joked.
"You know, you should go too, even if it's just to make fun of the people there," Bel joked as she took a sip of her coffee before it got cold.
