Private Finished Why Did It Take Them So Long?

Live scoffed and glanced over at Kaya, "I'm probably not the best person to ask as far as a baseline goes. I find most things humans do to be rather terrible."

She chewed another bite before responding, "But if you really must know, if I'm going to have some fun I usually play video games. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to bring my system with me so I don't know if that will be happening for a while."

Everything had happened pretty fast once she received the letter from Starlight Academy. Her mom had also kind of lost her shit when Live told her she was leaving, making getting everything she wanted out of the house that much harder. Her GameCube was one of the things that was left in the dust.

"Otherwise, I like to smoke weed and draw. But again, might be a bit hard to do that for a while." She chomped down on another bite of taco salad.

Live nodded not really getting that Kaya didn't get what she meant. She was about to comment on how she knew she could get weed, she just didn't know from whom, when Kaya conjured up Shadows.

Her eyes grew wide and her expressioned shifted from boredom to awe. She blinked a few times, her eyes fixed on the shadow clothing.

"You're a Shadow Demon..." She breathed her eyes moving to look at Kaya as she began to regain her composure.

Live couldn't believe what she was hearing. It had shocked her to at first just meeting Kaya as she was a demon who didn't seem as tied to her realm as the demons Live had summoned but this was above and beyond anything she could have imagined.

"Right, sorry. I suppose Shadow Demon is a bit like saying Human Being." Live shrugged and poked at her salad for a moment. "I've summoned a couple demons from the Shadow Realm who's forms were more than shadows."

She looked back to Kaya, "But I've never met one quite like you before." If there was one thing Live could tell it was that Kaya was different. She didn't quite yet know why, but she must have been ranked much higher than any demon she had ever summoned.

Live was about to say something else when one of the guys who had been heckling Kaya walked over. He leaned in between the two of them and grinned real big, glancing back and forth between the two girls for a moment before his eyes settled on Live.

"So, you gonna join your friend here for our gangbang tonight?"

Live didn't even wait for Kaya to respond. A scoff escaped her lips as her eyes moved from Kaya to the boy. As they did, something odd began to happen. Her gray iris' began to darken until even the whites of her eyes had gone black. The shadows hiding under Live's clothes began to swell and darken as well.

"In your dreams dickhead." And with that Live raised her right arm, fork still in her grasp. The shadows from around Live, rushed down to the ground, wrapped themselves around the boy's ankle and pulled. His face slammed down onto the table and he was dragged about five feet back.

Her gaze turned back to Kaya, her eyes still pitch black, "You see, I have a particular interest in Shadow Demon's because I believe it was one that did this to me." She lowered her hand and the shadows retracted to her.

A small smirk slipped onto Live's lips at Kaya's response. "Indeed it does." She looked forward to having someone to talk to about the Shadow Realm, who she didn't have use a shit ton of energy to summon.

She stabbed into her salad again as the boy rose to his knees, one of his friends approaching to see if he was okay. Live heard him mumble 'bitch' under his breath. She rolled her eyes and stuck the bite into her mouth, finishing the last of her food.

None of the lunch monitors had noticed the exchange between Live and the boy and she was unsure if he would retaliate or not. She was fine either way but honestly, she was itching for a fight; one she could properly use her powers in.

Live listened to Kaya's monologue to the boy as she took a few bites out of the apple on her tray and some sips of her soda. When Kaya sat down again, Live chugged what was left of her soda and began to collect her stuff.

She was ready to leave when Kaya brought up the two of them heading out together. She threw her blue bag covered in tribal style drawings over her shoulder and stood.

"Sorry, but I already have plans." She was interested in spending more time talking with Kaya but she needed some time to sort out the information she had just gained and do some research. Besides, she had only been here for a week and she couldn't go making friends that quickly; it would screw up the reputation she was trying to build.

She grabbed her tray, "You are welcome to join me for lunch tomorrow though." She glanced at the group of boys, still whispering to each other, "Who knows, maybe we'll get a chance to actually kick some ass." She smirked again at Kaya then turned and headed for the trash can. She dropped her tray in and glanced around to make sure none of the lunch monitors were looking before she activated her powers again, shifted forms and disappeared into the darkness.
