Hector manifested an elder sign on his shirt, like some sort of tee shirt logo. It looked like the twins were already getting to it. Hector cracked his knuckles as he looked confidently at the shelves around them. "I mean we could do that or...."

Hector had smoke rising out of his nostrils as he crouched down and charged into the bookshelf smashing through it, causing the books to fall into a pile on the floor. Then as he walked back to the group he turned, and fired a mass of burning stone at the mess he'd made, igniting it. "Sometimes it takes a hard head to solve a problem quickly."

Lycia studied the hastily drawn symbol on the piece of paper given to her by Delaney in wonder. "Hmm... it looks like a dancing star," she announced quietly and emphasized the 'dancing' part of her description by swaying her arms. After which she found a red solo cup in her hand half filled with paint and decided to start finger painting, as best she could, the elder sign.

On herself, on the shelves and floor. Pretty much wherever someone else wasn't already busy wrecking things. She did not however join them in actually breaking things, opting to leave that to them.

"What do we do if it just ignores us? Or tries to take over the Dream too?"

Delaney copied the idea of a necklace and took a deep breath. This was it. She was terrified but that feeling seemed to kick her body into the flight or fight adrenaline rush. She was simultaneously rushing towards the center and crawling towards it at a snails pace. She swore she could feel Hector crashing into her, but he was several feet behind her. And when the books when up in flames she started to sweat.

Even Lycia's painting felt like an itch on her skin. Every new symbol like the press of a tattoo artists pen to her skin. Shit, she didn't think this through. That thought went a million miles away as she felt that like one feels the sting of stomach acid in their throat before hurling. Almost as if in answer to Lycia's question it made itself known.

It appeared at the center of the library. Wrong in the way it was not there, then there. Her head stretched sideways to grasp it, but the feeling was familiar, something she experienced once several months earlier. It was hurting, and she the echo of that pain. "Fucking, finally," Delaney growled out. It was in her head, and it hurt. She was screaming and clutching her head but could hardly tell through the mental assult. She swapped thoughts and feelings with it at a rapid, almost inconprehensible pace. It wanted her powers, she wanted it gone. An impass and for the moment the two were stuck.

Avigail was enjoying her slow destruction of the books: what other opportunity would she get to just... break stuff without consequence? "Hey, bonehead check this out," she called out to Hector, laughing as she grabbed a particularly thick book and started attempting to rip it in half like one of those strongman types. She figured that, being in a dream, she could pull it off no problem. But when it didn't give way, Avi quickly got frustrated and slung the book hard at the shelf.

The book practically exploded in a shower of paper and leather, with some pieces sticking to the shelf and other books almost like they were trying to fuse with them. Avi blinked, not really sure what to make of that, turning to get Avram's opinion on the matter.

Avram however was nowhere nearby. He'd watched Dela run off and an unsettlingly familiar chill had run down his spine. Something was wrong, so he had followed at a distance to keep the group from getting too separated.

Lycia looked over towards where Delaney was headed, or not headed, or connected to. It gave her a headache just trying to figure out where she was at any one moment. So much so that she squeezed her eyes shut to keep at least that portion of sensory overload to a minimum.

But she was getting scared. She was almost never scared in the Dream. "We have to stop it now! Quick, I think the wiggly thing wants to get out of here and take her!" She suddenly shouted out in trembling urgency. She absent-mindedly dropped the cup of paint next to her as she knelt down right where she was to start meditating. Which she had never done before while already inside the Dream but this was an emergency. She didn't know how to fight the unknowable entity in there with them but she just wanted to help anyways she could.

And in response there was a long moaning and creaking sound as two massive double doors behind them closed. Sealing off the Library from the rest of the Dream or at least putting up a barrier to slow down this thing if it tries to escape the Library.

Then, from the large misshapen splatter of paint on the floor, several figures began emerging. Like foot-high toy soldiers carved from stone. Each one badly damaged and missing parts as if something was fighting the creation of them. One by one they turned to Lycia's closes eyes and saluted then drew curved blades and began heading off to support Dela and the others while the Princess stayed right where she was- unable to go any deeper into the Library for the moment.

While he seemed to be reveling in his reckless destruction, Hector couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He distractedly watched as Avigail's attempted strongman display went from bad to weird. He really had no idea what they were really going to do when that thing did wind up showing itself. He'd barely gotten through that thought when it did finally show itself. He really wasn't ready for any of this. He thought he was, but it was becoming so clear that he wasn't.

Hector growled and began following after Dela, if for no other reason than to ensure his girlfriend's safety. "Hey! What's the plan, now that we have its attention?" He came here assuming he could just punch this thing away with a little effort. And it was becoming clear that there was no way purely conventional methods were going to faze it in the slightest.
