Delaney sent out several texts to Hector, Lycia and the twins, Avram and Avigail. She sent the following:

Meet me in Building B, Floor 2, Room 36.
Come quick, and come alone.
It's important and I swear to explain in person.

Cryptic but she couldn't risk being more specific. Not yet. If she wanted to keep this quiet and limit outside influence. It was dumb, and she wasn't thinking clearly. Ever since that dream two days ago she hasn't slept. Delaney didn't want to risk going back to that place and. . . Frick! She didn't want to think about that either. But she knew, with absolute certainty, that that thing had forged some kind of connection with her.

Delaney sat near the front of the empty room in one of many empty single person desks. There was a large to-go cup of coffee infront of her, and obvious purple bags under her eyes. Her hands shook with nervous energy and the desire to keep checking her phone. Any moment now they'll be here and she can put her plan in motion.

Avigail had been in control, out at cafe enjoying the day when she'd gotten the text from Delaney. "Shit," was all it had taken to wake Avram up, and the two were off running in no time at all - after taking their sex change charm off to change Avi's pumps to Avram's flats.

He was in control when they arrived at the room, not completely out of breath anymore because he'd made a point to stop running inside the building. He didn't want anyone to get suspicious of him or start asking questions.

"Dela," the two said in unison, not that it was clear when they did. "What's going on?" Avram asked, the concern on his face apparent. Avigail chimed in, "Who's ass do I need to kick?"

Lycia had been just about to lay down for a nap when she got the message. Good thing she'd spaced out and forgot to turn her phone off.

It sounded important and Dela was her friend so of course she hopped up and tap tapped her way over. Taking some time because she had to be careful to find the right place.

"I am here... why are people kicking things?" She asked as she approached the hurt looking souls in front of her.

Cryptic texts from one's girlfriend were never a good sign. Hector was settling in his dorm room working on some homework when he got the message. Ever since the mess with Lizzy he was more on guard, naturally. He was up and out the door, heading to the meeting spot, wondering what could be happening now.

Hector arrived a few moments after Lycia did, taking a moment to look around the room. He was wary, and he wasn't hiding it either. But that expression changed to confusion as he recognized the others present. He opted to move near his girlfriend for the moment.

"Hey Dela... Avram, Avigail, Lycia..." he paused for a second. "What's this all about?"

Delaney looked twoards her friends, and even cracked a small smile at Avigail's comment. She picked the right people. "Have a seat because I got a lot to say." And that was no joke. Once the others were settled Delaney decided she should start from the beginning. The very beginning.

"When. . . Several months ago, before I came to the island, there were rumors in my hometown about people going missing. Me and. . . and Micheal went into the woods." Avram and Avigail knew this story, but the others wouldn't. Saying Michael's name out loud still hurt. "That's how we ran into the elder god behind the disappearances. Micheal. . . he saved me, but I saw into their realm. . ." Delaney went quiet for a long moment.

Then, "I lost most of my sight that day, then the rest during the ritual. They tried to fix my eyes when I was still on the islets but nothing worked. I figured there was nothing to be done and moved on. But since then, sometimes I had the feeling that something was watching me, that. . . ugh. To bring this all together: two nights ago I had a dream I was in a library. And I could see it. I could see every book and row and that's when I realized I've seen that place before. I saw it that night in the woods months ago."

Delaney took a breath. "I think a second elder god has its sights on me. That it made some kind of connection with me that night and that the reason why nothing can heal my eyes is because it didn't want that and now it's whispering me, and trying to make me doubt everything and everyone and-and-" Delaney had started to shake. She was scared. Scared shitless that the nightmare is happening all over again.

The twins looked over at the two others who had come in: a friend of Delaney's maybe? And Hector, whose appearance brought up all the drama that had plagued their friend group recently. Though that wasn't his fault, Avram reminded his sister. She knew that of course, but it still didn't feel good, thinking about all this.

"We're not kicking anyone unless we have to," Avram said. They were both curious about what Dela had called them all here for, but as she explained the color drained from their shared cheeks.

"Oh fuck," Avigail muttered, and Avram couldn't even chide her for the profanity. This was very much an oh fuck moment. "Well, we beat the last one. We can beat this one, yeah? What do you need us to do?"

Lycia fumbled her way until she found somewhere to sit and listened intently to the story, staring blindly at Dela's soul rather than her physical form of course. That sounded like a crazy adventure but also like it had hurt. She was probably the only one who didn't seem very scared or pissed off, owing to her rather aloof general nature.

"I think that is very not good to have this thing take your eyes and be mean to you all of the time. I will help if I can but I do not know what I can do. I can only do adventures like this one in the Dream."

Hector listened to what Dela had to say. This clearly had nothing to do with the mess with Lizzy, but this was a much worth situation. He knew the story, well the general overall story. That explained why the twins were there. He didn't know Lycia well enough to understand why she was called.

"So we're here because you think we can do something about it? I'm uh... not exactly a brain guy. More of a run and smash stuff kinda person..." he said. " But I mean I'll do whatever you need me to do."

The support of her friends, and their confirmations of help felt like a balm to her frayed nerves. They were confused on the how's, but Delaney had the answer to that.

"I think I went through that connection in my dream," She began, "and I think we can exploit that." She pulled an old, faded tome from her schoolbag and turned to the page marked by a large, fuzzy bookmark. The page detailed a ritual for a spell that connected minds together and wherever Delaney put her fingers the words shifted into braille.

Delaney looked towards Lycia, "Lycia can create a Dream that she can share with other people. Lycia, I found a spell that links minds together. I think by connecting your mind to mine. . . well, then you would be connected too and. . . and you could create an entrance to the library in your Dream. And then we use that to enter the library together. . ." It was a lot to ask of Lycia, and they wouldn't even know if the spell will work or if that thing will use the connection against her.

"Ar- are you okay with that? Can you-, I mean, would you?"

Lycia couldn't see what Dela was doing so she had no idea about the spellbook or really any idea about how the others might be reacting. But none of that really mattered in the slightest. She didn't bother to think it through or worry about potential consequences she might be opening up herself to.

The princess nodded. "I will like to help however I can. I am not afraid of you poking my mind with yours. Maybe it will be fun and exciting!" She smiled in actual excitement at the adventure they were plotting. A real adventure. "I think if we are all in the Dream and I really want the door to be there it will be. I just need to know what it is like."
