Gabe scratched his head, he was now the one in the situation where he was torn between his boyfriend and his friend. He knew Bill was being a bit unreasonable in judging Max right away but at the same time maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Ultimately he knew he'd choose Bill if it ever came to a fight between them, especially because Bill had chosen him over Michael but also he loved Bill, and knew him far better than he knew Max.

"Alright, I'm sorry," Gabe bit his lip. He didn't want William to be mardy at him for the next few days, "I wasn't trying to mock you." He promised, that hadn't been his intention but it was clear Bill had taken it like that. He frowned a little, he had been so sure they'd get on though now he couldn't recall why he had thought that.

'I don't mind going, if you'd prefer' Gabe didn't know what to do, but it was probably for the best if Max did go. Even if she left, Bill would most likely still be mad at Gabe. There wasn't really a way he could win this one. Oh my god you're so stupid, why do you always come up with these ridiculous ideas? He scolded himself.

Gabe felt guilty though for inviting Max and now basically sending her away. But he'd rather that than not go after Bill. "I'm sorry dude, perhaps we can meet up another time..." he trailed off.

Gabe glanced at Bill, "I'm sorry," he told him again, "this clearly wasn't one of my best ideas.."

"It was nice meeting you William," she nodded her head slightly at the boy who looked to be fuming at not only her but Gabe his [/I]boyfriend. She was ever so madly annoyed with William, he seemed so arrogant and ignorant. Surely he would know that Gabe would be faithful and not look for anyone but him, it wasn't like he was into her. She wouldn't be into him either, it wouldn't be right anyhow. William looked like he had full control of Gabe, absolutely infatuated with him that Gabe was his little voodoo and could tweek anything and he'd do it within a click of his fingers, and that was what he was performing here.
She felt the anger swell up in her and a lump form in her throat and she knew this wasn't going to get rid of it without it being known. By this time she had already turned around and was about to leave but spun around and full on glared at the witch that was know as William.
"It's not like I fell out of a tree for you," she spat, she didn't care that a little bit of unchewed cress had catapulted itself from her teeth at William, it just added to the effect that she was utterly livid. "But y'know, I'll just go back to what I was doing before and you twist Gabe here round your finger, pulling the puppet strings that you know how to do." She relaxed her eyebrows slightly when she mentioned Gabe, she didn't want to drag him further in. William had the problem with her. She was going to add words like sick, little games or to those effects, but she decided that may hurt Gabe more than sweet, innocent, caring kind, lovely, sympathetic, cute, sweet William there.

<div align=center>Everything Max had down about William was absolutely right. He was jealous and controlling. Perhaps not for most people to see, but right now he was more or less the opposite of what Gabriel had described him to her as. He wasn't an arrogant boy, not at all, and that was sometimes why he behaved like he did. He got so jealous that Gabe would attach himself to someone else that he almost didn't like him having friends. That was hypocritical of him, but that was it, that was the thought. He supposed there was an element of distrust there, Gabriel is more likely to get attention than you. That was true, in some aspects. William was a lot more reserved than his boyfriend, and was much less likely to get close enough to someone to completely attach himself to them.

It's not like I fell out of a tree for you. He frowned, what was she doing climbing trees? She had to be his age at least, wasn't she too old to be climbing trees? "Of course I know how to pull his strings." He answered, his tone more or less completely calm. "What would be the point in having him around if I didn't?" There was a genuinely perplexed look upon his features for a moment, there was no point in having a boyfriend if he didn't do things for him. He knew that he had Gabe completely wrapped around his little finger, both of them did and neither could really do anything about it. One of his eyebrows flickered upward and he ran a hand through his hair, glancing back at Gabe, then back to Max, then at Gabe again. "You keep some really charming company, Gabriel."</div>

Gabe wanted to scream , they were both being incredibly irritating. Sure, Max was trying to stand up for him, and while he appreciated the sentiment he didn't really think it had been wise of her to start William off. Although, technically William had started it by being so bitchy to her, and Gabe found that very annoying, couldn't he have at least given her a bit of a chance? .He sighed, then again maybe if you'd told him this was going to happen before hand like a normal person instead of being sly about it, it might have worked out better.

Gabe was being hypocritical though, he hadn't really given Michael a chance at first even though Bill had wanted him to, so it wasn't really fair for him to expect it of Bill. But he hadn't expected Bill to react like this, he had never realised how jealous Bill could get, Gabe believed he was the jealous one, not William.

Gabriel was rather worried that Bill would think he had been complaining about him to Max, which he hadn't. Gabe never talked negatively of Bill, no negative things ever really sprung to mind, but Bill didn't know that.

Max was right in saying that Bill knew how to pull his strings but Gabriel had already been aware of that from square one. "Max," Gabe warned, "I'm glad you care so much about me but it's fine, I'm already aware that Bill has me wrapped around his little finger, I'm okay with it." He was an adult he could look after himself.

"You two got off on the wrong foot," Gabe answered William, "neither of you are exactly acting very charming right now." He frowned, he was so confused and frustrated.

"I've never been charming. I'm not dressed to charm. I'm dressed to Max," she snapped in short sharp bursts at Gabe. She was not saying sorry, for starters it wasn't her fault. She willingly came to meet him and now she was being thrown glares. Max wasn't standing for this any longer, she turned even viler and this time she didn't even feel the slightest bit of sympathy for anyone... but maybe a bit for Gabe because he was piggy in the middle.
"You don't give any consideration to anyone William. Those looks you're giving me; you're right why would Gabe like me? More people will look at Gabe than me. But at least I can fend for myself where you can't. I also have better sense of clothing, look at you. You filthy, clean, domestic child. You make me sick, judging me the way you do when you haven't given the slightest look at yourself in your childish ways and sickening actions. Just take a step in my filthy, muddy, wolf rotting, flesh eating boots and stick that up there and work out what it's like to not have something you have staring you right in the face. A boyfriend and a once willing acquaintance. You sure know how to lose people with your baby features. How old are you? 17, 18? Even my brother looks older than you and I think he's 8, he's more mature than you in personality. He knows when to not stare unlike you." She screamed fuming. She didn't want to bring family up but if it there was cause to then she had to. She stamped her foot and looked down, and mumbled something low and deep under her breath. Along the lines of "at least you have more of a family." but was not going to elaborate on anything past that.

<div align=center>By now, William was clinging to Gabe in such a protective manner that it made him look like a stroppy child. Which in most ways, he was. One hand had a handful of Gabe's jacket, and the other one clutched tightly around his wrist. Why was she mocking the way she looked when she looked like she'd just been dragged through a swamp? He didn't understand it. At least I don't have fleas. The girl had taken a low blow, though the things she were saying didn't really bother the boy in the slightest right now. She was telling him things he already knew, what was the point in that? He gave an idle shrug, "at least I know how to turn on the shower." He answered, I'm dressed to Max. Wow. And I thought Gabriel was lame. He was trying desperately hard not to laugh, and instead bit his tongue and tried desperately to keep the look on his face. "Why don't you just buy some new clothes, then...?" He asked, sounding a tad confused.

Bill didn't understand why this girl had rounded on him so quickly. He hadn't been being all that pleasant to begin with, but insulting him wasn't going to get her anyway. He tilted his head back to look up at Gabe, and blinked at him, soft doe eyes meeting his slightly harsher ones. More of a family? That was something that certainly wasn't true. His brow furrowed a little, "could you, y'know, not bitch about me to people you don't even know properly?" He asked Gabe, softly, smiling just a little, "I just think that if you want to criticize me, you should probably take a leaf from your girlfriend's book."</div>

Gabe literally screamed then,
"Shut up! Just shut up," he yelled at Max. "You're not helping anybody by insulting my boyfriend," he screamed, "what do you think that's going to do? Like if you're trying to stand up for me then do it in a civil way instead of giving my boyfriend stick." Gabe glared at her, she was making everything worse .

"If I had a problem with the way Bill acted, I'd bring it up with him. I'm an adult , I don't need you to fight my battles for me." He snapped at Max. This wasn't even something he wanted to battle about, Max was the one making a big deal out of it and Bill was blaming Gabe for it all.

"And how dare you make fun of how he looks?" Gabe's voice went cold. He had zero tolerance for low blows like that, especially because he knew how insecure his boyfriend was. "I think he's perfect the way he is," he wanted to punch her, he really really did. "Don't take your insecurities about how you look out on my boyfriend." He spat, his voice dripping in venom.

"Bill, I didn't bitch about you," Gabe was telling the truth, he was so angry he wanted to rip his hair out. "Take off your hat and read me if you have to, I can prove it." He frowned, he was kind of hurt that Bill didn't trust him. "I'm not saying I don't have flaws, and she's not my girlfriend , she used to be my friend but now she's not even that anymore." He glanced back at Max with a shrug, it was her own fault.

She felt her eyes brim with tears, she didn't expect that at all. She couldn't back down not right now but maybe tone it down a little bit, a little bit. Is that how I really look? She scanned herself quickly, she didn't look that bad but then again that's what she was used to. "And I insult his appearance?! He just accused me of not showering! My clothes are... are... are..." she felt her knees buckle underneath her, under her crippling weight. She wanted to scream at Gabe, he just completely went and ignored everything he had abused her with. The shrug topped it off, she didn't need him. He was just a face, he was easily able to block if her fist didn't meet his first. She took a few deep breaths before putting her back on the wall and raised her eyebrows high.
She ripped her hair out of the tie and shook it out, letting the hair fall to her chest in shaggy rough layers, "Oh Gabe," she said cooly. "What insecurities?" I'm brunette, skinny, what more could I ask for? Gabe, I like your little emphasis on my, I know he's your boyfriend and I wouldn't want him. Cute an' all but really I don't think any amount of money would even let me near him." She thumped her foot onto the wall, echoing throughout the corridor and shaking the plasterboard.
Max was prone to mood swings, this was probably her greatest one for a long time, because she felt a twang of empathy and regretful. She meant half the words she said but didn't necessarily want them to come out the way they did. She shrunk her head back staring at the ceiling, counting in her head until one of them said anything towards her or even made an action towards her, whatever they were planning; she was ready.

<div align=center>William didn't understand why everyone was yelling all of a sudden, he was confused and ordinarily he would have been terrified, but for some reason he refused to show any kind of weakness in front of this strange girl. A hand went to his head, he removed the little foil had and folded it into his pocket, forcing himself into Gabe's head and sitting himself comfortably there. It was a form of comfort, really, a thing that William did unthinkingly when he didn't like the way things were going. He didn't understand why the girl was getting so upset about that one tiny thing, when she'd spewed a lot of things out at him that had been much worse. He hadn't stormed off crying though, had he? He probably could have done quite easily, but he didn't really want to. She'd told him things he thought about himself day in day out. He was surprised she hadn't questioned his gender yet, that was normally the first blow people used, 'you look like a girl!' To which he frequently responded: I know.

He shrugged, "if you don't have insecurities then why are you taking offense?" He asked, calmly at that. I don't take offense because what you're snapping about me is true. She couldn't hear that, but Gabe could, whether William had meant for that or not wasn't completely clear. She couldn't have me anyway because I don't like girls. "Brunette, skinny.. Kinda just sounds like you described me, but okay." He added, under his breath. She'd called him immature, but from anyone else's perspective it looked very much like the opposite. Surprisingly, he didn't feel at all angry. This was getting boring and he got the feeling Gabe would probably lose control of himself if he wasn't careful. The boy tucked his head into the crook of the taller one's neck, and purred softly. "You're being silly. You're going to hurt someone if you're not careful." Though he didn't think Gabe would feel much remorse if he hurt Max, right now. "That person will probably be me, as well."</div>

Gabe wouldn't really call what he said to Max abuse , it wasn't really like he had made any personal comments about her appearance, in detail at least, like she had to William. He had been standing up for himself , and that's what Max had wanted him to do, wasn't it?

"Perhaps William shouldn't have said that," Gabe told her, "but that was gentle teasing. You didn't have to strike so low in return." He looked down at his hands, his knuckles had gone white from clasping his hands together so tightly.

Gabe couldn't help but laugh, coldly at that,
"Clearly you must have some insecurities or you wouldn't be ripping Bill's self confidence to shreds with your every word." Not that the poor boy had much to begin with. "Not that he should pay any attention to what you're saying," Gabe met Bill's eyes, you're perfect okay? Please don't take any of what she's saying to heart...you were right I don't know what I was thinking making friends with her. He wasn't sure if Bill could hear him right now, but he had just heard Bill...

Just ignore her Gabe, she's not worth your breath, A voice inside his head was telling him, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't let her get away with blue murder. "As if you'd have a chance with him anyway." He shook his head, "what makes you think he'd want you?"

Gabe pulled Bill close to him as the boy tried to calm him down.
"I know Bill, I know but the things she's saying are making me so mad." He frowned, Bill was right though, he'd better get a grip on himself before he hurt someone. "I need to calm down though." He admitted, "I'd despise myself if I hurt you."
