Angry wasn't the proper word for what Konpeitō was feeling. Frustrated hit closer, and he became more certain with each step towards Club Empyria. His visit to the space station should have been with Alyx as a tour of all the cool technology, not to the settle whatever was going on with Kalik or Jafar or Kofi or who the fuck knows now.

He blended into the club the moment he entered. For the most part. He was no alien, but he wore a black crop top, a lighter shade of black overalls, and black boots with transparent bottoms that showed his paws. Clearly someone looking for a good time, and the bouncy way he moved while wearing a smile accentuated that idea. The moment he caught Kalik's figure, he gracefully weaved his way through the crowd to reach him.

That was Kalik, right? He was warned about the helmet, both from their texts to set up this meeting and from the rumors. There was also that tail...

"Hey! I'm ready to talk, but before I start, who am I speaking to?"

It was prime time at the club. Troko and A'Kohri were both up on the main stage and putting on a really good show for the majority of the club. A few other strippers could be seen walking around the club and trying to tempt people to get a private show.
Kalik was staying near the back and away from most of the people. He was mostly here to keep up appearances, he honestly just rather sit in the office.

Kalik just stayed stationary when he finally noticed Kon making his way towards him. He just did a very slow inhale and exhale and started making his way towards Kon.
"Hello, Kon." His voice sounded off, raspy almost, but that was probably just the fact he was wearing a helmet and was basically speaking through a speaker. Kalik stood there silently for a few moments when Kon asked who he was talking to. "Kalik. If you wanted to talk to the others....I must apologize. Things are a bit....."

He turned his head to briefly look around the room and focus back on Kon.
"We can talk in the office. Fewer eyes and ears in there. Don't want any other rumors spreading around about me. They are bad for business...."
He turned and started walking towards one of the doors in the back.
"Come along."

"No, I wanted to talk to you." Konpeitō wasn't sure if he could ever believe again that he was speaking to who Kalik said he was. It was still hard to figure out the whole Jafar and Kofi thing. Goodness knows how long Konpeitō spent analyzing his memories with Kalik to figure out who precisely he was speaking to at that time.

He had no complaints about moving to another room. Safety from the eyes and ears of the crowd, which Konpeitō was thankful for. It meant people were busy focusing on what the club had to offer than any conversations they might overhear. If they could when it was so damn loud.

Konpeitō followed Kalik silently to one of the back room. The moment the door shut behind them, he asked, "Are you okay? You're wearing that helmet and... your voice sounds..." He shook his head. "I'm concerned about the outfit in general."

Once they were in the office and the door was closed, Kalik was able to relax just a bit. "You wanted to talk to me?" He wasn't sure on how to take that just yet but a part of him was glad.

"First. I need to apologize to you. It was never my intent to mislead you or lie to you about who I- we were. So I'm sorry." He put a lot of emphasis on the I'm. Kalik then walked around to the other side of his desk and stood behind it. "As for your question, hm. No. We aren't okay but that's obvious by now isn't it?"

"Now for the outfit it's for a couple reasons....mostly to keep my body from undergoing anymore drastic changes. It's also why I'm wearing this." He raised his left arm to show off the human shaped charm around his wrist. "The helmet is mostly to....." He stopped and then reached both his hands up to start messing with the helmet and hitting something on the back of his neck that made a loud clicking noise and a bit of hissing.

After all the hissing was then, Kalik very carefully removed the helmet from his head and placed it on the desk. "I wear it mostly to hide this face."
There was definitely something different about his face but whatever the changes are, they are very very subtle. The only really noticeable change was the beauty mark under his left eye.

Okay, that apology did a lot to make Konpeitō feel better. Maybe it was the compulsion thing or something else, but he always appreciated an apology he didn't have to pressure out. Konpeitō also wasn't the type to hold grudges unless the wrong against him was particularly bad. He didn't hadn't figured out how bad this one was, but seeing how Kalik seemingly had little to no control over it, he was willing to get over it.

He let Kalik speak, listening patiently with a neutral expression. Once in a while his eyes left Kalik's "face" to focus on the floor as he took everything in. Then Kalik began removing his helmet and his eyes stayed glued on the presentation.

"I don't get it. What am I supposed to be looking for?" He scoured Kalik's face, somewhat disappointed. Or happy? He figured he was horribly mutilated. Mentioning "drastic changes" didn't help either. "You have a beauty mark now?" was the only thing he could think to point out.

Kalik knew that he had to tell Kon everything at this point or mostly everything. He just needed to be as open as possible at this point. He thought about trying to take it slow and explain everything one by one but he felt like that would take way too long. It already took him so long to just fully come clean to someone. So he just took a very slow inhale and tried to relax himself. "I never fully explained everything to you....and I honestly owe you that. You're the only person that cares about me here." Kalik's voice was sounding a little raspy again which caused him to clear his throat.

"Ahem. Alright so this body isn't exactly my body- well it is and isn't. The face you are seeing belongs to Jafar. I'm technically also Jafar but a fraction that was removed from him for too long. He went to go retrieve me from the guy who stole it but things didn't go as planned when he tried to rejoin us."

"The reason I can't go around using this face is because...." He paused and tried to collect his thoughts. There was a lot of layers of shit he should explain but he wasn't exactly sure if he wanted to or not. Kalik sighed and put the helmet back on after he took a few moments to decide how he wanted to handle this. "There are people who knew Jafar before we became whatever this fucked up mess of a person we are. At the moment they probably think he's dead and they moved on with their lives. I don't exactly have the right to just pop back in their lives so I just kept my distance. They already went through a lot. No reason to put them through anymore when they are all happy now."

He stood there silently for a couple moments. "Anyway, that's not important. My body is currently fighting itself because it isn't made to have more than one soul. That's what's currently causing me issues and why my shifting is all over the place and why one moment I'm Kalik and the next I am whoever I think I am."

Konpeitō took a long moment to process everything Kalik said. From being the only person who cared about him to people he knew considering him dead to his body fighting itself. There was a lot and breaking it down into chunks didn't help with digestion.

He sucked in a breath, finally ready to speak. "Okay, yeah, your body fighting itself is more important right now." He could try giving semi-normal life advice later, when life and death wasn't a factor. "I can look for a soul specialist. I work at the hospital and it wouldn't be hard for me to get in touch with a doctor. This is serious, so I don't think money will factor a lot in their decision. They might be able to find empty bodies... or make one. Then transfer the souls into the—Agh, I don't know..." He bit down on his bottom lip. This was probably stuff Kalik thought of before, but there had to be some kind of solution.

Kalik started thinking back to his talk with Vatar about soul removal when Kon brought up the soul specialist. "I've talked to a soul specialist already and he mentioned getting mediums that were bodies....and also the risks of soul removal."
The issue of money or getting bodies wasn't one of the things that were stopping his decision. Kalik was more concerned about the risks and what would happen if the other souls actually got bodies. There was a couple bad scenarios he could easily think of that were very possible to happen.

Kalik sighed and just shook his head. Anything could lead to a bad scenario at this point. "I also got the impression he wasn't willing to do it himself which is fine. I need to fix all my problems by myself."

"That's silly," he replied bluntly, which was nicer than his thought of That's stupid, but he didn't want to push too far. Either way, Kalik was a friend, not someone from TWIS who needed a stranger to only listen to their problems.

"How do you expect to fix the problem yourself when part of the problem is yourself... or part of you. Are you going to study soul magic while trying to keep control of your body? Actually, can the other souls hear our conversation or your thoughts?"

Kalik wasn't sure how to respond to what Kon said. He knew Kon was right, if he was really able to fix himself he would have done it a few months ago and he wouldn't even be having the problems he is having now. That's the part that he hated about all this, the fact he still haven't figured out how to fix himself.

"Yes. I've been studying soul magic, exorcisms, and other shit. I'm getting close to answer....I just need some time to figure out which answer is the right answer." Or more importantly what it exactly meant for him to be fixed.

He nodded his head to Kon when he was asked if the others could hear them or his thoughts. "They can hear everything. They are apart of me. Why?"
