Galvão had no idea why he was subjecting himself to the annoyance that was John right now. Or ever. It was bad enough that he wad even going shopping, for Summer clothes no less, but why did he have to go along with this twerp? To make matters worse, Gal had been the one who asked the little pest along, a fact he was regretting with each step.

The only good thing about it was that John was keeping him agitated enough that he wasn't jumping out of his skin at thing. And the younger guy had toned down on the reason touching, although Gal would not admit just how grateful he was for that fact, certainly not to John. The truth was, the weasel was lonely - he hadn't really been here long enough to make friends, and he was uneasy about going downtown. He hadn't been in a city or even a crowd bigger than a classroom since he'd been bitten. And if he was going to wear clothes for warmer weather, John had already seen the scars.

The older boy frowned at each shop they passed. His colourblindness did not make clothes shopping any easier. A fact he still hadn't mentioned to his shopping partner. All he wanted was something cheap and comfortable. Emphasis on cheap because he only had the little money from the school until he got a job.

"This is my first time here. I don't suppose you know a good place to look? When did you get here anyway? You seem newer than I am, but I know you're not." He glanced at another store window then sighed. "Man, I need a job. Please tell me you didn't get hired somewhere before me."

John was actually quite happy that Gal had asked him to go shopping. Out of the many things that could have surprised him, the fact that the person who had been sent to jail because of him was asking him out to go clothes shopping was quite surreal. While it was odd, John had dismissed any suspicions he could have held to Gal, as he took it as a invitation to start a more positive relationship.

John tilted his head at what Gal had said to him.

"Oh, I dont really need a Job. I got a bit of money saved up and coming in. In fact I am more than happy to pay for one or two articles of clothing for you, as long as I get to pick them. And to answer your previous question I am not that much more experienced than you when it comes to this island. I probably came a day or two before you, maybe even less."

John's eyes glimmered with glee as he walked past a few stores. These actions were a novelty to John as he had never been clothes shopping for himself before. John was ready to put on clothes for not only himself, but also to force Gal to do the same. Once they passed a certain store, John was captivated by a couple of the clothing items there. To be specific, John's eyes were diverted when he saw in the window men's capris and a male low cut tank top.

"Hey Gal lets check out that place"

John points to the door of the shop that caught his attention.

"Of course you don't have a job. What are you, some kind of rich kid?" Galvão frowned. His family hadn't been in poverty, but they'd struggled with money, and he'd had to work for what he had. If they'd known he was alive, his parents might've given him support, even though he was the youngest, but a job would still have been necessary. Being a spoiled kid might explain some things about John and his obliviousnes.

When John offered to pay for some clothes, the wereweasel looked him up and down suspiciously. He didn't really have a fashion sense, but just because he couldn't see colours didn't mean he couldn't tell when something looked ridiculous. Still, the other guy's clothes seemed normal enough, the question was if the twerp would try to get him wearing weird things just to mess with him.

"I don't know if I trust you... but I do need clothes. Only have what the school gave me right now... How did you end up here anyway? You're a teleporter right?" Gal did have enough money for some things himself, but most of his money was spent on food. He could've saved some by hunting his own, but when he wasn't feral from the full moon the idea of hunting made him too nervous. His memories of the woods were unpleasant to say the least, and blood made him squeamish. At least it wasn't necessary for him to eat human meat.

Gal glanced at the window before following John in. He wasn't too sure he liked the look of those clothes. But he had said he wanted summer clothes, and he certainly didn't want to look like a coward in front of the twerp. Besides, looking couldn't hurt, right?
