[by the way, the topic is totally pointless, but it's one of my favorite book titles. XD ]

Dani's hair blew into her face, although she'd put a beanie hat on to keep it from doing so. She stared out into the water, and put her hands into her coat pockets. Yes, it was cold out, but it was better than staying in her dorm doing nothing.
She started wondering how long she'd been out here. It didn't seem like very long, yet she was so cold she felt as though she'd been there for hours.

A small boy looking maybe 12 walked along the sand toward her not really at her but just past her, wearing all white with his cloth face guard up and his hood as well trying to allude as much of the cold as possible, he looked up with his white eyes thinking he saw someone just past the horizon they looked like a glimmer of a shadow from the distance and began to walk closer seeing more of a form as he did

Dani heard footsteps and turned her head to the side. She saw a boy, a few years younger than herself. When he got closer, she smiled politely. "Hello." She said brightly.

Tsim said nothing but waved almost like he was mute, he could only hope that she wouldn't take it the wrong way like he was to good to talk to her or he was just being rude...he didn't talk and thats all there was to it.

Dani studied the boy for a few minutes. Finally she spoke. "So do you like, not talk or anything?" She asked, hoping that wasn't the case. She wasn't the greatest at one-sided conversations.

He nodded seeing the look on her face...he sighed as he picked up a stick infront of him and wrote in the sand. "I can write though..." He said hopeful that she wouldent mind him not begin able to speak...

Dani leaned over a little and read what he wrote. "Like, you can't speak at all? That's interesting. I suppose you don't get on people's nerves very often then." She smiled. "What's your name?

he began to write the word Tsim on it if she would to spell it backwards it would spell mist which his old town would say he was a kid of mist...he didn't doubt it but he would never speak of what they said behind his back because he was different

Dani again read what the boy had written. "Tsim..." She looked up at him. "Nice meeting you, Tsim. I'm Dani."

He nodded and smiled at her before looking around for something to do...he began to draw he wasn't as good as an artist as he wanted to be...but he was trying to learn...
