Valerie was... she was conflicted. Today she woke up cuddling a pillow when she had expected to wake up cuddling Alex. And somehow she felt hurt when that shouldn't have been the case. She didn't know if she was just disappointed on not seeing him right beside her, or she was afraid that she wasn't going to see him again. Even though most of what happened the night before was a blur because of how intoxicated she was, the emotions remained plastered onto her heart.
She sat up on her bed and noticed her clothes on the bed. She was half naked. That night wasn't a dream. Oh no... what if her father knew? What would he have done if he found out they did... that. Quickly, she looked at the clock on her wall. It was a little over half past nine... Her dad would have been at work by now. Good, because she was going to have to change the sheets. She pulled them off of the bed and threw them into a basket, along with some of her dirty clothes. Since she was already half naked, she decided to shower. It helped clear her muddled mind as she washed away the scents lewd scents on her body. As soon as she got dressed, she went down to the laundry room and put everything in. After which she went to the kitchen to grab some food.
This was what she did almost every day, barring the different order of what she did and her waking up early to see her father go to work. But she couldn't focus on a lot of it. Perhaps some TV would help. She turned the TV to some cartoons, but her mind soon drifted to the thought of Alex. What was he doing right now? Did he think she was weird for last night? Maybe she had said something in her sleep... Her mind just jumped from one thing to another, the TV was just white noise to her among the thoughts that seemed random. She was lying on the couch now, looking up at the ceiling, her wing draped over her forehead.
What was she going to say to Alex the next time they saw each other?
