It was kinda funny how day and night lost meaning. Sure, she can tell between the two but when all you see if blackness 24/7 the distinction between the two blurred. Delaney pondered this as she walked around the familiar paths around school with the use of her cane. Georgette trotted beside her, without her vest and lead. The poodle was free to move and sniff as she pleased. The two were curled up in bed when Georgette woke Delaney to be let out. The teen goth decided why not make it a walk?
Delaney wore her black pajama bottoms and a heavy black sweater with skulls stitched along the shoulders to stay warm. Her hair was down and slightly mussed from sleep. She yawned, but didn't feel super tired. Georgette bounded ahead, perhaps on the scent of something interesting. Delaney laughed, and completely missed the dropped book on the path. She must have stepped on it wrong, or the suddenness of stepping on something disturbed her balance. Either way, Dela fell forward with a gasp and threw her hands forward to catch herself.
Her palms hit the ground hard and her cane snapped from her hands. "Frig!" Dela cursed, and shifted onto her knees. Her palms stung but she couldn't see the damage. And where the heck did her cane go too?! Georgette rushed to the girl's side and rubbed her nose against Delaney's cheek. "Well, this is just great, girl."
