He'd snuck into her dorm numerous times, so it seemed like a night like any other. He'd sneak in, they'd make love, and he'd make breakfast for her the next morning. So he'd open the door, slipping in, quietly closing it behind him.

Being half vampire he had night vision, which of course cut through the darkness. Everything looked normal, except for the cat that he didn't recognize. He'd squint at it, he didn't remember Bastet saying she'd gotten a new pet.

The half vampire would take a step towards the odd animal, not really sure what to do. @GrimRPer

The cat was apparently sleeping, and Bastet was of course at her bed by now... Not soundly sleeping, but engrossed into a manga. However as Aaron took a step forth, the cat's eyes jolted open and in a split second Aaron would find himself face to face with a skeletal black panther... This was certainly no normal cat... It was a stare down, that which this beast was doing.

"Uh...Bastet, hon, babe.....what's with the cat?" he'd ask with a raised eyebrow, "and why is it giving me the stinkeye?" He wasn't really scared, more just confused and mildly confused.

The half vampire would take a step towards the bed. "Is...is it another cursed creature latching onto you?" the fact that that was happening often had him a little worried about her.

He'd look down at the cat. "Does it even have a name?" he wasn't sure if it was an actual creature or some weird magic construct.

"Uh?", Bastet got up in her Super Hero Time-themed pajamas and went to see the stare-down. For whatever reason, she did nothing about the skeletal panther menacingly standing there... But that reason came soon enough, as soon the beast was just a normal slim black cat again, meowing gently and jumping onto a table, curling there and no more bothering them.

"Ah, I see you met Gacha.", Bastet giggled, "She is not latched to me in any way, she's just a cat. And from the looks of it, she doesn't think you are a threat."

"Uh....don't think she'd go all skeletony if she was just a cat," her tail would gently wrap around Bastet's waist. "But I'm happy she isn't latched onto you like the snakes," he'd squint at the cat once more before giving Bastet a quick kiss on the cheek.

"So....where'd she come from?" he'd ask, tilting his head. "From a pet shop? Or did you find them wandering around?" she'd sniff the air, wondering what kind of cat it was.

"Hope it doesn't mind me hanging around."

"I meant on her being independent. Anyway, as for how I came across Gacha... She simply popped into my room sometime after our family dinner, as she wasn't here when we left, but was here when I came back. Gave her the name Gacha because it sounds like "Gotcha!" and also because of her tendency to pop around randomly. ... See, there she goes.", As Bastet said that, Gacha did a lot of cat-like things, like stretch, play with Aaron's tail, brush against their legs... And disappear in the shadows between the legs of a chair.

But where did she disappear to? Suddenly, a light meow and she had appeared from underneath Bastet's bed. There was no possible way for any normal cat to pull that off without being noticed, yet Gacha did. "Orogo, the fifth serpent, managed to recognize her as a living Legendary Essence aligned with a divine. So, the fragment of a God's power, that somehow lives by itself.", Bastet concluded, "And based on what she did... She knows what you are, but knows you mean me no harm.".

She'd watch as the cat popped. "Uh....yeah, hon, babe, it being a piece of a god's soul very much means it's not just a cat," she'd say with a thoughtful hum. "We should maybe try to figure out why it popped up?"

There were so many questions that the cat brought up. "Like....what if there's more soul fragments?" she'd tilt her head, "and if there is, what if they're trying to find each other."

Somehow this was just as concerning as the serpents. "Could the snakes figure which god it's a fragment of?"

Once again, Gacha disappeared, to soon pop out from the shadow corner of the ceiling and land onto Aaron's shoulder, nuzzling his face. "I like to think that she was drawn to me. After all I absorbed the essence of two deities and an entity that could be comparable to a demon lord, and somehow I'm still alive and kicking.", Bastet reached forth and gave Gacha some head pats.

"Nope, the none of the Orochi Brothers have any concrete guess. I have my own, which is pretty hilarious if you think...", Bastet started to snicker at the thought, and Gacha gave love nibbles to Aaron's ears.

He'd jump a bit when the cat landed on his shoulder, sighing his tail would gently wrap around it, letting it up and setting it on the ground. "Well....what's your guess?" he'd ask, still suspicious of the supernatural feline.

"And....like I said, we should get it checked out," he'd say with a sigh, brushing off his shoulder. "We know pretty much nothing about it except that it's some weird fragment of a god's soul."

"Magical animals seem weirdly attracted to you," he'd say with a snort and a small chuckle.

Gacha played with Aaron's tail all along before going back to inspecting around the room as if nothing happened. As for Bastet... "It's very funny if you think about it: but three things: Cat, Protection, drawn specifically to me. Does that ring any bells?", Bastet gave a moment for Aaron to thing, and chuckled well at the remark about this weird attraction of magical animals, but once enough time has passed, and regardless of the answer...

"Gacha might as well be none other than Bast's essence. For some reason, she manifested as a living being, even if magical, and has come to protect me. And from the looks of it, has a good eye for judgment. But otherwise eats cat food, plays with small things, naps a lot and likes chin scritches.", as Bastet spoke that, one of the ground serpents has left a flowerpot and passed by them, going to observe Gacha.
