Private Finished What A Mother Leaves Behind

They'd been studying off and on, with some quick kisses in between. Nathan would shut his book, tossing it to the side, he'd more or less finished with his studying. Looking to Amber he'd give her a kiss on the cheek.

"I think I'm done with school stuff for today," he'd wrap his arm around her waist, they were hanging out in her bedroom, with the door cracked of course. "Surely math can wait until tomorrow."

Nathan would snug her. "You ok?" he'd ask, "you seem a little bit more distracted than usual." @Pallas

He'd tilt his head. "Hon....you gave in when I suggested we quit homework for tonight you never do that," there was genuine concern in his voice even though that was half a joke. "And you've seemed kinda distant."

Taking her hand he'd gently kiss it. "I'm not going to pressure you into talking about it," he'd gently snug her, offering a smile. "But I'm always here if you ever need to talk."

Nathan would kiss her cheek. "I'm always for you hon," he'd say, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

He'd hum in thought. "Your kindness," he'd say, "you're probably the kindest person I've ever met." He'd look at her, giving her hand another gentle reassuring squeeze.

"You try to br friends with everyone," he'd chuckle, "hell you tried to be friends with me, even when I was a grumpy ass."

Nathan would look at her. "Is that related to whats bothering you?" he'd ask, gently leaning his head against hers.

"A completely different person?" he'd ask, tilting his head, "what do you mean?" That seemed like an odd question, but he wasn't going to push it off or anything like that.

"People don't just switch to being completely different," he'd say with a thoughtful hum. "But let's say you did change....would I love you?" he'd nod, "I would."

Nathan would give her another peck on the cheek. "Because I believe that no matter how much you might change, you'd still ne you....you'd still have all the things that make you you." He'd smile, "I know that's kind of a copout answer, but yeah, no one completely changes." He'd gently snug her. "What brought this up?"

"A mistake?" he'd think a moment, "no, mistake is the wrong word, it's a complicated thing." He'd run his hands through his hair, "when someone you love does something bad, that doesn't immediately turn off the love you had for them, some pretend it does, but emotion isn't a light switch that can just be completely flipped by an event."

He'd look at her, gently placing his hand on her cheek. "Love mixing with hurt, it makes things difficult, confuses things," he'd kiss her forehead.

"Just....know you're not alone in this," he'd snug her. "I'm always here and I know a bit about what you're feeling hon," he knew about Pandora, had heard the rumors. "I'm always here hon."
