Funerals are usually a time of sadness, mourning and just general despair. It is a time where people, friends and family come together to mourn for their lost and reflect over their lost one's life.

Yet here we are outside at the graveyard, no one mourning, no sadness, no despair. But there was rain to set the mood so that was great.

It was quiet, hell there wasn't even anyone person here except Desmoth.

Desmoth sat in front of this odd handmade casket and just had a normal conversation about everyday things. With who he was having a conversation with? Well the moths that fluttered around him.

He walked over to that homemade casket and just….smacked the face of the cocoon...body...thing. It was like terribly fun, like the slaps where you try to wake someone up funny. Clearly they weren't working but hey, he was alone at this funeral….burial service whatever.

So uh yeah, he should probably start burying this thing.

As Desmoth contemplated the burial of the shell that was his body, an unnatural chill could be felt as a ghostly visage of a young woman named Mindy passed close by, floating at a leisurely pace until she "stood" next to Desmoth's left side.

"Still poking at dead things I see... I half expected this this to turn out like the funeral scene in Anchorman 2." spoke Mindy. She would then look up to the sky, raindrops freezing into frozen tears as they pass through her ghostly body as she continued to talk.

"Auspicious day for a funeral, all this the gloomy weather and lack guests. I say whomever you are about bury six feet under must have been a real nobody if the lack of attendees is anything to go by." commented Mindy in a distinctly bitchy tone while she looked at looked remains of... whoever this was suppose exactly be.

As she looked down at remains, she made frown as she spied what looked to fly crawling into some open orifice on the rotting carcass. "Ughh... disgusting... its attracting flies." remarked Mindy in a disgusted tone

From what Mindy could deduce, this was suppose to be the carcass of her brother... sort of. Maybe shed skin is more accurate in this case. Regardless, here she was, at last with reunited with her younger brother Ronnie Rogers, whom these days prefers to be Desmond... or something like it. She is probably going to have to ask him whatever name he is going with these days.

"So Ronnie... tell me. What is it like digging a hole for your own grave? Did you hope this funeral would bring closure to some chapter of your life? Some cheesy symbolism of life, death and rebirth? I have to say, this is sad funeral... in the sad pathetic sort of way. As you have no one but me to keep you company... and I wasn't even invited to this."

For waiting over a decade to reunite with her brother, spending years of her life trying to figure out the enigma that was Ronnie... the conclusion of her long journey was rather lackluster. Still... she needed some resolution... like will be her brother's reaction now that she was here? Does he even know that she is the ghost of sister that her murdered so many years ago?

"Eh?" Desmoth felt the chill but it was raining so he ignored it. What he didn't ignore was the fact there was someone talking to him.....or something?? Naaah must be the drugs. "Yeah empty funeral....I mean burying a trashy hobo here so who would show up? Other than flies." Yes Desmond felt like he was talking to himself and totally believed it too.

"I mean it was either getting poked at by scientist and getting thrown away like trash or a actual funeral. If I had actually died, I don't think I was going to get a funeral....well as you can see no one is here but me....and I'm talking to myself."

He pulled out a blunt to light and smoke. Once he felt like he was done with it he put it out and then placed it in the coffin with the body thing.

Then he got called Ronnie. "Wait....not...talking to myself..." he finally decided to take his eyes off his old body only to stare at called him Ronnie and too his well....he wasn't surprised? "I must have smoked waaaay too much huh." he squinted at the ghost for a bit.

"You look like her but...." he frowned clearly not being able to find the words for what he was trying to say. "Sis? Mindy...please be you and not some stupid hallucination. I can't deal with anymore of those right now." Hallucination or not this was a first.

"Aloof as ever... well at least you remember me. I don't know what visions you have been getting but I assure you that I am no stupid hallucination. Not exactly here in the flesh but you argue I put a whole new meaning in the phase 'here in spirit'."

Mindy then float a bit forward, taking a moment to inspect the grave, then let out a guff sigh.

"This really hasn't brought me as much satisfaction as I hoped it would. After 12 long miserable years trying to find wondering what ever happened to Ronnie Rogers... I am greeted with the third worst iteration of Killer Moth whom makes a living as professional box hobo and part time druggie. Ughh...mom and dad would be so disappointed..."

Mindy then pinches the bridge of her nose and lets out an annoyed groan. Seriously, she had worked for so long to finally achieve this reunion and... and it just seemed so lackluster. Worst of all, whatever closure she hoped to get out of this wasn't really doing it for her. No sweet release nor joy, just dissatisfaction and maybe a bit of bitterness.

Desmond just looked at her.

He wasn't surprised she was here considering the fact they are on a magic island. Still he was puzzled, confused, and didn't know what to say. It was her, his sister back from the dead. He knew this now still a tad bitchy too. "Twelve years....."

Has it really been that long since everything? Despite having temporally losing his memories and still some lost in the void it didn't feel like twelve years. "You are finally here....somewhat." he looked at the ghost and frowned.

Desmond just kept staring at here and clearly becoming more and more uncomfortable. "I'm...." Sorry is what he wanted to say but he didn't he just instead tried to poke her face before slumping down by the casket. "Mom and dad don't even exist anymore. Who cares? They were always going to be disappointed anyway. You were the all-star child after all."

He just kept staring at her. It was weird seeing her now. He thought about this before and actually prepared but now it's weird and he doesn't even know what to really do. "So let's get this over with."

He closed his eyes and waited. "Go on kill me or whatever. It's how this is supposed to go right?"
