"I imagine you're from Starlight. We'll head that way, then,"
</br>

Starlight Academy, so he did know where she was staying- so much for being vague. With a slight nod of her head she accepted the weak terms the man had forced upon her and decided to allow him to walk her partial of the way back to the campus- figuring that if anything did end up happening and the man turned out to be a modern day witch hunter, she would be able to hex him with a bind spell long enough for her to get away. But, for some reason, as they walked and she stared up at the back of his head and the broadness of his shoulders, she got the feeling that despite his iron golem-esque outward appearance, he might not be that bad of a person. He /was/ carrying her bags after all.
</br>

Thinking of her bags, she stared down at the parcels in the man's cinder block fists and wondered how much of it was replaceable, just in-case she needed to make a run for it. From past experiences, she knew how difficult it was to try and pry something from someone's hands after they've been bound.
</br>

She guessed it could all be repurchased, worse case scenario, but decided to try and convince him to give them up one more time.
</br>

"Olwen..." she breathed, adjusting her hood as she continued, "My name is Olwen...and thank you for helping me...uhm- I- I don't think I quiet caught your name...mister-?"
</br>

Ollie attempted friendly, she figured if she got to know the man a bit more and showed him she could hold a decent conversation, he would see that she was perfectly fine- well enough to hold her own bags and walk her own way back up towards the campus.

“…Olwen? Hmm. You didn’t catch my name because I didn’t say it.”

He kept walking, intent on saying absolutely nothing else for the extent of the trip. However, his curiosity eventually got the better of him, and he decided to stop beating around the bush. “…You went to the dumpster because the signature caught your eye, did you not? How many did you notice earlier? What happened when you touched it?”

When he completely avoided her pry into what his name was, she pouted. Slowing down behind him as they continued to walk in silence for the next few feet. Of course she hadn't caught his name because he hadn't said it, of course she was trying to make conversation and make nice at the same time- and of course he was going to ignore her and act like it wasn't insulting. Maybe he wasn't such a nice guy after all.
</br>

"...You went to the dumpster because the signature caught your eye, did you not?"
</br>

"What?"
</br>

Ollie lifted her eyes from their fixation on her bags and stared at the back of his head again.
</br>

"How many did you notice earlier?"
</br>

"I don't-"
</br>

"What happened when you touched it?"
</br>

"Look, I-"
</br>

She stopped, putting her foot down as she tried to catch up with everything the man had so seamlessly thrown at her only to become more confused. So, he /did/ have something to do with the markings on the wall and dumpster? Was he the man she had seen in her vision or was he merely baiting her into revealing something about herself that she had been trying to keep secret? Thinking back, she tried to re-imagine what had been seen, but was only greeted with the faintest of feelings- darkness and death, but no images came to her this time and she realized that whatever connection that had been made before was gone.
</br>

"Tell me your name."
</br>

Ollie remained still, staring at the man's departing shoulders until she was sure he had noticed she was no longer following him. With another breath, she balled her hands into tight fists and repeated what she had said before with a bit more volume and urgency; knowing that the niceties were over and he had been the one to end them.
</br>

"I said, tell me your name."
</br>

It was pointless to know, she couldn't read whatever was on the dumpster or the walls, she didn't know what it said- but at the same time, somewhere in her mind where that broken connection once was, she knew it was a name. Now all she needed to know was his.

…Darn. It looked like this wasn’t going to be that easy. He paused at her voice, then turned around with a cool expression on his face. For a while, he said nothing. Then he sighed. “My name is Alexander, Olwen. There. Was it worth throwing a tantrum over?”

Tantrum? No, that wasn't a tantrum, that was her asserting herself over this man that seemed so keen on taking control of what was supposed to be /her/ errand's day out.
</br>

"Not really," Ollie relaxed a little, untightening her fists and walking forward to where he had stopped to look back at her, "But then again I wasn't throwing a tantrum- I was making a friend."
</br>

Stopping just beside him, she stared up at him, her shades still concealing the hard stare she was giving him despite the casual smile on her face.
</br>

"And you- Alexander- need to learn to answer what is asked before you begin to ask what you want answered," she didn't want to be rude, she never did, but at the same time the way he was treating her was beginning to leave a sour taste on her tongue, "As for your questions-"
</br>

She reached forward and snatched the bags out of his hand, shaking them a little in his face as she smirked and wrinkled her nose at how his tough guy act wasn't going to work on her anymore.
</br>

"I had no...reason to go looking for those markings. I was out for a day of errands- as you can so plainly tell- and I ran into it- literally," Ollie looked down into her bags, sifting through the objects within and pulling out a bottle of water, "I didn't go looking for it, er, them- I wasn't hunting or spying- they were just there."
</br>

As she spoke, she waved the bottle around in her hand before uncapping the liquid and taking a decent gulp of the refreshing drink. Afterwards, she tipped the bottle to Alex as if to offer him a drink as well, but before he could make a motion to accept or reject her offer she absently recapped it and pushed it into his hand.
</br>

"As for the last question, I don't know," she was being honest, something that could be heard in the defeated tone of her voice and seen in the way she shrugged her shoulders and stepped away from him a ways, "I don't know what happened-"
</br>

Turning back up to Alex, she tapped her finger in the air and stared up at him a bit more seriously.
</br>

"But I remember a man and a feeling- and-" she stopped, encroaching on the territory she had been previously intending to avoid, "And I'm positive that it triggered my specialty."
</br>

Ollie wasn't sure who Alex- Alexander- was or what type of person he was going to be or already claimed to be, but it was more than obvious that he had a connection to the markings on the walls. Which meant he might know what she didn't about what had happened before, right? She hadn't just told a random stranger that she had a specialty and that it had been triggered behind a dumpster by a weird as all hell marking on the wall, had she?
</br>

She hoped she hadn't just made a mistake by trusting this man with the truth.

“I don’t have friends, particularly not ones who’re half my age.” He didn’t react to her smile. People who smiled at times like this were concerned with politeness and civility, both things he was not fond of.

He also didn’t react when she took her bags back – or rather he made a point not to react outwardly, besides a slight jolt out of surprise.

Frankly he didn’t entirely know what to make of this. “They were just there?” He frowned slightly. “I’ll clean them out. My apologies for any troubles or feelings of anxiety they may have caused you.”

…What was he supposed to do with a bottle of water? It wasn’t as if he was thirsty. He tossed it absentmindedly between his hands, for lack of anything else to do.

But, it seemed whatever Olwen had done wasn’t intentional… actually, that was even worse. It meant that – something in his work had simply reacted to her. Would this be something he would have to deal with in the future, too? The communication was always supposed to be one-way.

“A specialty,” he repeated. He thought, considered his options, and then continued. “I was dreaming about…” His expression softened somewhat. “I believe I was dreaming about home.”

"Home..." she repeated softly, not yet catching on that he brought up the fact that he was dreaming, "I miss my home too."

A slight twinge in her chest reminded her of her siblings, little Braith and her mother and father- reminded her of her need to find that piece of home here within this secluded island in order to properly sustain that connection to her family- and further reminded her that whatever was happening today, right now at least, would not be repeated to them in the slightest. If anyone from over seas heard that she had practically fainted in an alley way and was discovered by a much older man who refused to return her items to her- well, she was sure they wouldn't be smiling about it.

"So you were...the one who put them there?" she was back on the signatures now, changing the subject from the image of her parents bursting into her dorm room and dragging her screaming back to their home in Wales, "What exactly...do they do?"

“You misunderstand,” Sasha said simply. “It would have been better described as a nightmare.”

How was he supposed to explain his signatures without a repeat of the Fleur Fiasco? “I have a poor sense of direction,” Sasha said. “But I can tell how far they are from me, which makes it much easier for me to navigate. It must have been the link between them and I that you felt.”

"You misunderstand," Ollie lifted her eyes back up to meet a distracted Alexander, "It would have been better described as a nightmare."
</br>

A nightmare- now that was something that caught her attention. She recalled the cold feeling of death from her forced vision and suddenly realized the unintentional harshness of her own words. She had said she missed her home, not knowing that whatever Alex had considered home might not be a place to miss. She wanted to apologize, to take the words she'd said and force them back down her throat in order to keep herself in check- but instead remained silent as her companion continued speaking.
</br>

"I have a poor sense of direction, but I can tell how far they are from me, which makes it much easier for me to navigate. It must have been the link between them and I that you felt."
</br>

The link? Whatever he was saying felt pretty vague to her, but when she stopped and actually thought about it- things started to make sense. If he was 'dreaming of home' when they made that connection through that mark, then he had to have been sleeping- and because he was sleeping when they made that connection her specialty was forced and she was temporarily drawn into his dream. Brilliant!
</br>

"So...you were sleeping?" her mouth dropped open a little after she asked her first question and she stared at him with wide eyes that were still hidden behind her large sunglasses, "And when I...oh, oh my, that's- well, that's never happened before. How very, very strange. But also-"
</br>

Ollie blushed from the excitement of this discovery and a deep crimson color blossomed over her pale skin.
</br>

"How exciting."

It seemed he’d finally caught her attention. So this was unprecedented… “It is exciting, isn’t it? You wouldn’t happen to have some dream-related powers, would you?” He laughed lightly. “I apologize for my mind. It’s not the most pleasant place to be.”

He took a sip of the water she’d offered him, for lack of anything better to do with it. As he did, he realized with some surprise that his throat had been quite dry.
