"Sometimes patience is the most important part of a good teacher. Though i'm glad I chose to pact with young Tadashi there. He's at least willing to learn and I think he might be responsible with the powers we offer to him," Rhode said proudly. Tadashi had told them he wasn't really in it for the powers, and didn't want to know the specifics he might get if he did bond with them. He was going to find out afterwards. Well, at least in Rhode's case. Tadashi had spent a little more time talking about those things with Ethan- who pretty much never left the boys side if he could help it.

Tadashi looked just a little disappointed they were stopping, but as he had just had a facefull of water he couldn't really argue the point. Instead he put an arm around Ethan as they little group began heading back out of the water. "We can meet at the pool. You're a really good teacher, you know. My friend was ok at teaching I guess, but he's not so... gentle," he giggled as he recalled being thrown into the water and then immediately having to be rescued.

"I left my phone in the rest of my clothes with Rhode. But I can give you my number when we get back over to them," he said as he looked back over towards Rhode and Shadow. Ethan was just quietly smiling. He would go where Tadashi went, for better or worse.

"Yes, that is very true." Shadow agreed, getting to her feet as Zora and the boys made their way back to shore, "Patience often is the difference between a good and a bad teacher."

"Young Tadashi has no idea what he's pacting for?" Shadow remarked, quite surprised at that. "That's quite remarkable..." she murmured, eyeing the boy with interest. Not many people would be that trusting.

Zora grinned when Tadashi told her she was a good teacher. She had never thought about it til now, but yes, she had, in fact, enjoyed very much helping Tadashi and Ethan. She was so used to the boardroom and making money that she never considered the satisfaction of simply helping someone like she was doing right now.

"Thank you, and I am as only as good as my students," she grinned, "You have both been very co-operative, eager to learn, and truthfully, I am just really enjoying myself," she told the boys very honestly.

When they got to shore, Zora retrieved her phone from her bag and exchanged numbers with Tadashi, discussing setting a date for the coming week when both of them could get together to resume their lessons.

Rhode nodded, "I think part of it might have been he was happy to meet regalia that were willing to work with him. For some reason his first partner hates kids and her ability literally forces him away. I don't understand how that happened. He only wanted to make sure it wouldn't hurt him or his friends before he accepted."

Tadashi seemed so much happier after the practice. Certainly far better than he had after his subpar attempts in the challenge. "I'm glad you enjoyed it too then. Most people dread having to deal with cats in the water," he laughed and looked down at his arms as they walked back to shore. "I guess maybe it's not so bad when it isn't fur getting all wet. Now that's annoying."

Ethan mostly just clung to Tadashi and smiled. He was having a pretty good day himself.

Tadashi was more than happy to give his number to Zora but... when he got to his things he remembered that his gloves were soaked. With a sigh he squeezed the fingers of the gloves to try to get out a lot of the water and then did his best to use the stylus to navigate the phone without getting too much water on it.

Rhode strode over to the rest of them and glanced down at Tadashi's socked feet- now coated completely in sand. "Tadashi, it's going to be awfully uncomfortable to walk home like that."

Tadashi drooped a little as he looked down and made the same realization. But then he perked back up. "Well... if you don't mind carrying my shoes and stuff i'll just be a cat and Ethan can carry me."

Ethan nodded but also held out a hand for Rhode to hold. Someone was going to hold his hand if he was going to be crossing streets and stuff.

Tadashi turned to wave at Zora and Shadow and was ready to shift unless they had anything else to say.

"No, you were fine. And I don't mind dealing with cats... " Zora remarked with a laugh, "I like cats actually. And my great-grandmother could shift into a cat too. She used to like to pop up in the most unlikely places in her cat form... " Zora said kind of wistfully. "She passed away about ten years ago... she was a great woman," she said remembering Evie Marie, her father's grandmother.

When they had everything exchanged and a tie set, Zora and Shadow waved goodbye. "I'll see you next week," Zora called out as she looped her arm through her regalia's arm and walked back to the car.
