<div align=center>In her mind, Pollyanna had accepted her identity awhile ago. Appearance wise, at least. But she would always tell herself that yes, I am a human. No, I am not an animal. She knew that she was abnormal even in the context of the academy. At least that was what she assumed. But better safe than sorry, right? On any case, she didn't mind herself on a personal level. But on a societal or relational one... That was a lot different.

But at least there were already people in her life that knew her for what she was. And for once, she was meeting someone who was a lot like her. She had previously been looking down to her lap, until Tellios touched her. She wasn't... Quite sure what to do. No doubt he had reassured her, and she took comfort in the fact that he knew what it was like. But her past she usually tried to shove aside. All there was were unhappy memories, bright lights, needles, and dehumanization. But that was behind her, it was all over now, and she could move on.

Still...

Nothing. She couldn't think of all that sad stuff right now. Besides, she had a new roommate, and she didn't want to depress him. She smiled a bit. "Well if it's no trouble I'd like to here the rest of your story. You don't have to tell me, though..." She just didn't want to get into his business against his will. Her eyes traced back to the chair, where she gently gestured one of the nanobots to be held in her hand. She watched it in innocent curiosity, and gently allowed to to go back to where it came. "You mean it? Well, I wouldn't want to take one of your nanobots away from you..." She looked down in consideration. "I'd like one if it won't hurt you at all without it." </div>

Miralis cleared the dresser and pointed at the chair. He wished for her to take a seat before he started his story. He waited a few moments before starting as he sighed for a moment. He brought up a few videos from his past.

He kept telling himself.

I have no emotions. Run protocol 34776421

A robotic female voice echoed in the room.

'Running Emotional Wipe... Process done.'

Miralis's eye turned into a deathly black as he began to recite talks. He was only a cold shell of his former joking self. Nothing but a husk. What he was truly. with out the additions.

"It began almost 21 years ago. Humanity wished to create the first ever synthetic human that could use powers to-Error Information invalid-. Thus, Project Legion was starting, bringing together the top minds from each area in mechanics they started. Created nanites, nanobots and implementing codes in order to get the nanites to create a form. Thinking that they had completed the formula to keep the mind perfect they failed. Horribly. The created person was a beast, so they wiped it's memory. Then fixed some problems and created what looked like to be a little child. Resembling one of the men who was part of the guard team assigned to them. Slowly the boy aged. Being poked, prodded, gutted, impaled and told that he was a special human." He took a breather for a moment. Taking a swig from the bottle straight. "This went on for 14 years of that childs life. He grew, like a normal boy. Who could hack computers by touching them. His only friends were the nanites, though the nanites mind and the collective mind were not perfect. Every minute of every hour was a constant fight for dominance. Legion kept up for as long as he could, begging the scientists for help, no one acted and just ran more tests on him. Each time watching the child cry, and in front of himself pull out a synthetic heart, watching it beat as it was reabsorbed into his body. Each time a Scientist walked into the room, the bots assaulted him. Surrounded him, almost killed him till Project;Legion had called them off. Each time he was shocked. The only true weakness he had. With no sympathy. This happened for years. Upon years. as he was Nine years of age. With no true way to tell his birthday besides the man he took after saw him once a week to play with him. In order to keep the child from killing they gave him a fatherly figure. The man got attached to the child. This happened till he was 16, in which the phase of him trying to find out what he was. The codes that were placed inside his body were failing, rewriting themselves to create sentience. It started to destroy everything he thought. Eventually after a faked assault he powered down as if he was short circuting he over heard two people talking when he came to. With the Scientists hooking him up to a computer, cutting him into pieces. He overheard them say that he was a failed experiment, to destroy him using a kill code and create another. Over and over the word failure was tossed at him. Everything he knew wass called into question. Even then he spent his time, using the professors that left, casting his questions aside.Eventually they told him. Project;Legion wanted to escape. So each time a Scientist left. He hid a nanite on them, and hacked the system and he walked out the door. At the end the only thing standing between him and freedom, was the man who he called a father. Who didn't put up a fight. begging to be consumed by the nanites for the lies, but he said -error memory locked Password required- and then Tellios did what he wished and consumed him. Creating the final image, learning his tactics everything he had known, destroying what he didn't need and walked out of the front door.

Tellios stopped and didn't go into his running away. He then spoke again.

"Execute Program 145789"

The emotional program started to run again. His mind began to race of everything he had just said, he saw all at once. It was a flaw in his system. His skin slowly turned into the nanites starting and working it's way in, eventually half up up the arms and legs it turned back and he looked at Polly and smiled.

"and... That's my life's story. I am sorry if it was too much."

A nanite crawled down his arm and a nanite came down it, putting his hand near her shoulder the nanite dropped onto her shoulder, it was claws, but it did not piece the skin. It felt almost as if a few small fingers were holding onto the skin.

"If you do require me. Speak to it and it will relay information to me."

<div align=center> In only what seemed like a split second the once cozy room became cold and silent, with the exception of Tellios. Pollyanna turned to him, and hoped that she wasn't going to inadvertently bring up any sort of scars from his past. She got back into the chair and looked up to him in clear attentiveness. She would have long since told him never mind out of fear that he was going to make himself upset, but when he wiped himself of emotions she not only piped up with the robotic voice but began to listen to what he had to say.

And, much to her sorrow, it was another one of humans playing God.

She payed heed as he explained both his origin and his life thus far. How he was too a failure, how he was fed lies, hurt, made out to be a test subject rather than a human... It wasn't fair, but it was unfortunately very much relatable. Pollyanna frowned as he went through to explain how that one harmful word- failure- had a huge impact on who he was. But... There was nothing wrong with him! From her own experience she convinced herself that she wasn't what they had told her she was. Because they weren't in their own perfect image, because to think of how much money and time was poured into them to practically shape their value... They were failures. And it simply wasn't true.

When he finished, Pollyanna looked to him in remorse but also to the nanites that made up his body that became fully in view. She shook her head to his statement, but did mumble a small yet serious "I'm sorry... That they did these things to you...". She looked over to his hand and smiled a faint smile. Her eyes flicked back to him as she hoped to reassure him. "They're wrong... You're not a failure. You're alive, thinking, and doing things that any other human would do... And I don't care what those scientists say. Nobody's perfect... So why do they try to strive for perfection?" She looked at him as if she were curious about the same thing. She was branded as a failure too, but... She couldn't be perfect. Because perfect didn't exist. Granted, her impurities were more obvious and flawed than most, but it made he unique. At least, that was how she saw it. Then, a faint smile appeared. "Thank you... For telling me. Don't worry anymore, you're here and no matter what anyone says you're just like everyone else in terms of who you are. Don't let anyone tell you different. I sure did for the longest time..." She looked down at herself, her fake self, the one the scientists made. She was just in a body all on its own that wasn't hers, and innocent lives had to be taken to make who she was today.

"You're safe here, don't you worry."</div>

"Unless you had direct interaction with my making. You have nothing to be sorry about my dear."

The nanite moved around Polly's shoulder, looking up at her. Tellios's own arm and legs slowly changed back as he was running codes for repairs and other situations. He wasn't too reassured about his own situation. He lived on the run and wasn't safe. He left the nanite so that if Pollyanna, his roommate was in trouble he could be there for her as needed.

"No, they were right. I am an unfinished product. I did take all their information. Every bit of it. I do not want them to make another one. I was problem after problem."

Tellios thought she deserved the truth. So he shrugged slightly. looking out a small window finishing his glass of whiskey and placing it down. Trying to grab the bottle of whiskey he grabbed it and his hand spun around the top to take off the top of it as he poured another glass. Resealed it and put the bottle in the duffel bag.

"Do not thank me, you deserve to know as my roommate, and friend."

Tellios believed they were friends so if that were the case he pulled out a bottle of water to her. It was relatively cold.

"Humans want to create things that obey, when they don't they destroy it. It's all they know. War."

She told him not to worry. His own mind was running with issues as is. He looking over at her from the corner of his eyes. Not leaving anything to chance. He wasn't one to not worry. Even though he was a machine, he had sentience. He could feel. He had emotions, just was incomplete.

"I appreciate you trying to reassure me." He said. Looking at her with her head down and knelt down. Looking up at her. "Pollyanna, I should be sorry. As a machine.. I am less perfect than you. I can strive all I want, I cannot measure up."

He said with a smile on his face. He then made a joke.

"Tell you what, later on I'll take you out for Ice creeeaaaaaam"

<div align=center> Pollyanna only slightly frowned as he continued to blame himself for what he was. He couldn't help that he was made as is, and couldn't be blamed for citing revenge. If only she had done it... But, she was far too young at that point in her life. She wanted to get back at the scientists that punished her, but... She had to just let it go and move on. They were gone forever, and there was nothing she could do. She wanted to at least help her roommate deal with things, and possibly find an outlet that wasn't just... Drinking. At least he considered her a friend, a fact that made her smile. She didn't make friends very often and those who were her friends were held at high esteem in her mind. And she almost always welcomed them in. In his case however, she felt he deserved to know a bit about who she was. That's what friends did, right?

But with her comments on humans, she couldn't help but to agree. She was below them, as both a mutant and unnaturally created life form. She was inferior, and that was the way things had to be. "I certainly know about that..." She mumbled with a sigh, her eyes tracing to the floor. "And it's experiments like us that have to suffer for it." At least it was a trait that they both shared.

But that word... Perfect... It had resurfaced again. No, he wasn't lower than she was. Why, because he was a machine, not a natural born man? To her, that didn't matter. He could have been made out of moon rocks and she wouldn't have cared. He had emotion, morality, and the ability to make decisions... There was nothing inhuman about that. Before she could say anything in remarks to this however he made a simple offer to her. Like a child with ADHD, her attention quickly shifted. "ICE CREAM?!" She looked in sudden eager bliss, but realized the inappropriate tone change and looked down, rubbing a hand on the back of her neck. Whoops, off topic again... "Heh, if you mean it, that would be awesome... But uh, I have something to tell, well show, you first..."

Pollyanna looked up to him, her brow raised. "You know, what you see here isn't what you really get..." She smiled. "Wanna see what I really look like? Because I can tell you now, it sure isn't perfect." </div>

Tellios listened to her for a moment and took in all the things she said. He smiled at her Ice cream reaction and laughed a little. He thought it was really cute what she did. He did have some funds to spare so he could do something about it to treat his new roommate to something nice. Though it seems like Tellios was drinking his sorrows away. He was as sober as ever. She said that she wanted to show himself. He raised an eyebrow for a moment.

"Yeah,, ice cream is on me." He said at her ice cream ADHD comment. He smiled and played it off as another joke at his own expense but he was serious, he would take her out for ice cream. While he grabbed a few things from town as it was. He needed to order a few things to get himself set up here.

She wasn't it? She must be showing him something.. Interesting. Something profound. Giving it a moment to think, looking into her eyes she could see green lines go from left to right, or right to left as she saw it. Some red lines and white lines.

In his head many different ideas and thoughts were going through, what she was going to show him. What could it be? How could this be? She was far more interesting than he thought. Far more something he was and wasn't. He sat back and crossed his legs and leaned back. Trying NOT to be suggestive at this point.

"I'd like to. See more of yo- I mean. What ever it is for you to show."

<div align=center>At least her roommate was generous. Pollyanna smiled giddily, as well as hoped he was just as open minded. "Awesome! Thanks!" She would rather gratify him ahead of time before she inadvertently forgot to do so. But the serious issue she had presented before resurfaced again. Right, show him what she was. After all, he was her roommate and seeing that when she wasn't doing something artistic she was in her true form. And she wasn't going to sacrifice her comfort unless her appearance really did offend him. So how was she going to go about this?

"Alright, so... I'm going to need you to close your eyes..." Pollyanna then gently lifted his hands to cover his, not forcefully but with purpose. "You have them closed? Okay, well no peeking now..." With that simple request, Pollyanna backed up, rolling her shoulders once she was a few feet away. She looked down to her tank top, which, upon further inspection, had its sides slit open and zippered up as tailored by her. The reason for this would become obvious in a second.

In only a matter of twenty seconds or so, her entire body had begun to shift. Like an effortless glide fur swept over her body- chestnut in color, short in length, and fluffy in texture especially around her joints. Her face shifted into a short yet animalistic muzzle, her nose reminiscent of a bat. And that's exactly what she was. Trademark fangs were jagged out of her mouth and her ears became nothing short of inhuman. An almost floor length tail reached the ground to meet up with her now pawlike feet. And, as seen by her top earlier, the split open sides allowed the appropriate membrane to connect between her arm and her now useless fingers, which only served as wings for semi successful flight. She shuffled her wings, and smiled a grin poked with dagger like teeth.

"Okay, open your eyes!" She chirped a bit too optimistically, her slender tail swinging. </div>

Tellios saw her hand go over his face. Cutting down the list to several different things he came to the conclusion that it was either she was flirting with him, which he didn't understand fully. Or she was showing him something out of this world. Though he wasn't sure on what as he closed his eye lids and shut off his optics for a moment. hearing some zippers being done or undone, he wasn't too sure. Even then his honeycomb of a mind came up with man situations regarding this, simulations but all of them ended decently.

"Oh, I can't peak? You're no fun."

He said sarcastically, he had kept his eyes closed until he saw her. Her her. He opened his eye lids and his optics turned on. It took a bit for them to focus, a fuzzy picture filled his screen, with even a small view from the nanite. Even that was blurry all he saw was a humanoid with wings, slowly and slowly the picture came into sight. A target ridicule came into place, searching the room for anything off as he blunk a few times.

"Nice fangs. You part Vampire?" He said as a light joke, to him she didn't look weird at all, all the fur that was on WAS a bit unsettling, but Tellios has seen weirder on this island. "Though, very interesting. Very nice tail though. Cute ears. And Fangs I don''t want near my ne- Oh wait. I don't have blood."

<div align=center>Well, at the very least it seemed like her roommate wasn't exactly freaked out. That was good. But then again by both his and the academy's standards she figured she wasn't terribly out of the ordinary. Right? She chuckled a bit with his comment, and shook her head. "Hardly. Heck, I don't even drink blood. Unless juice inside fruit counts as fruit blood. Then yeah, I guess I am a vampire." Part of her animal DNA was infused with that diet, while the other half of her was an insectivore... But that was just yucky. So she avoided that outright. She smiled through her muzzle at the compliment, perking up happily. "Uh, thanks!" She replied with a soft expression. But of course, this form came with a price. Not in just the inability to properly use her hands or having to deal with dense fur, but as a sort of curse as well. Her eyes traced down towards the floor, her ears lowered.

"Yeah... Well, I mean I'm not supposed to be like this. I was made from the spliced DNA of a deceased little girl and a bat hybrid of sorts... The scientists who made me were trying to see if it was possible to resurrect life of a human being through infusing preserved genes through another 'less important' creature... And it worked kinda, I got to look like a human as you first saw me as. But this..." She shuffled her winged arms, looking down at her body. "Wasn't supposed to happen. They kicked me to the curb pretty fast, if you could imagine..." She didn't want to go into full detail at the moment, but it was the gist she wanted to get out of the way ASAP. She wanted for her roommate to not feel alone in the fact that he was rejected from his creators. But at the same time, it was yet to be seen if she could delve into everything about herself. And besides, he probably didn't want to here about it anyway. She looked up an pulled on yet another fiendish yet assuring smile. "Oh! Sorry for rambling hope I didn't bore ya." She added with a little laugh. "I just thought I would show you. I usually am like this whenever I'm hanging around by myself, if I'm not up to anything artsy... But if I make you uncomfortable, I won't stay like this." And to be honest, she wouldn't blame him. </div>

Miralis's mind ended up more curious than he was before she had showed him herself, what she was. He was interested but he was more curious as himself as he snapped his fingers, his body turned from flesh and cloth to the nanites, Blue electricity started to move across his body, each time it hit his body a blue wave turned it from what it was to the moving nanites, but they weren't moving, his eyes were hidden by them. A shell of what he had before. No facial expressions at all. Just the nanites, his mouth was still there as well as the shape of a nose and a few other items.

"two can play at that game my dear."

He said, the nanitic mouth moving with his words. the inside of his mouth seems more like a speaker than a mouth. Then his HUD gained more information.

A little girl? Really? The radical in his head turned red slowly. Leaving nothing to chance he wanted to try to protect this girl. She was like him. She was younger and is just as in danger as he was, but he had spent years running, years hiding. He wasn't sure he was safe anywhere.

"I cannot fathom humans." He said slowly pushing his friend out of the way and sitting in his chair, the nanites moved from his body and started to move around the chair as if they were on their own will. "Well, I appreciate your openness Pollyanna. I am happy to have you as a roommate."

"Remember, none will ever bore me. Information is me. Technology is me. You wish to speak I will listen. I will also be willing to assist with your homework- as it is called here. Either help with your own powers. Or help with the essentials. If you are happy to be in that form, do so. If you do nut like me in this, let me know."
