Cardinal took a large sniff of her cup, smiling at the sweet succulent smell of coffee. It was a long trip here to the island, and it was rather boring and a fair bit of nervous sleep to top it off. Sure, it was great to be somewhere that won't freak out that she has animal appendages. Or pull on the fake cosplay tail.

But now was the worst part of moving to any new place. Finding a place to live and a job. She'd probably be able to live a few months without a job, assuming she lives on the streets and like, one meal a day. Not the ideal life for her. There were definitely stuff that were affordable, but she didn't know how fast she would get a job. "Maybe if... Or...." She bit the eraser of a pencil, looking through a few more wanted ads.

Virgil stepped out of the weapon shop, wiping his face clean of the sout best be could, some found his choice in job a bit odd for a dragon of a noble family, but he found it satisfying. He'd step toward the café, his usual calm yet grumpy look on his face, his nose twitching slightly as he picked up the different scents.

The café was full, his emerald colored, slightly reptilian eyes would look over the area, each table was taken. "Bloody hell," he'd say to himself, his eyes going to a familiar waitress as she motioned over at a table with only one occupant, a werewolf going by her scent.

He'd tilt his head and signed a bit before heading over to the wolf girl. "Mind if I sit here?" he'd ask in his British accent, his eyes showing a bit of friendliness even if his face remained rather neutral.

Cardinal peaked up from a paper, confused by the smell and the Britishness. She heard to expect the unexpected, but was a little bit surprised already to hear an accent like that from such a serious looking man. And with such a weird question, just take the coffee and leave. Well, whatever. "Yeah, sure."

She moved a few things from the table, giving him room to sit down and drink. "Name's Cardinal." Shuffling a few more things, Cardinal moved most of her papers to one stack near her, tapping a pen on the table. It would probably be rather easy to tell that the papers are job applications and want ads. The fun stuff.

"Virgil," he'd say, introducing himself as he took his seat, he wasn't very strong for a dragon, yet he'd still chosen hard work like weapon smithing. "Uh...thank you," he'd say, giving a small smile, he'd never been good at showing emotions, they always came off as incredibly small or muted.

"Job hunting?" he'd ask, looking down at the menu though he already knew what he wanted, "this city has plenty." He'd tilt his head to one side, his intelligent eyes looking her over briefly, "new to the island? Looking for work and a place to live?" he'd ask, quickly ordering his usual once the waitress popped up, "welcome to Manta Carlos."

Having a high level intelligence he tended to notice and figure things out quickly, but it can come off as weird at times. He'd look at her blink a few times, "Apologies, old habit," he was trying to do that less often as some found it weird, "what kind of work are you looking for?"

She looked down for about 3 seconds, then the one called Virgil spoke up again. She couldn't help but blush, even though it honestly wasn't embarrassing at all. "Uh, yeah. Just arrived here this morning." She sipped her drink, sitting up more.

"It's fine, just a bit surprising. As to what work, I honestly don't know. I'm a werewolf, so I got strength and speed. I'm pretty good at hitting stuff, and that's about it. I mean, I have an American GED, so I know the basics. But, I don't have too much other experiences other then hunting down evil crazed witches and hitting stuff with sharp stuff. Willing to learn, and I kind of know how to cook." Would cleaning count as a skill? She can clean pretty well.

"Werewolf, enhanced strength,"[/COLOR] he'd take a sip of his drink once it arrived, "good at hitting things." His mind sorted through the various jobs he could think of, "construction comes to mind, people always coming and going, buildings being altered and remodeled to accommodate those with non human forms."

Another sip of coffee, "shops around here are usually hiring," though super strength wasn't something that would be useful in a lot of magic shops it couldn't hurt. "Something basic that moving boxes of supplies, filling shelves."

The dragon would tilt his head, his eyes shimmering and glowing a bit as be thought, "also weapon shops, lots of people still use swords and such here." He'd gesture to black in his hair, "got this working around the forge, it's hard work, but it can be enjoyable." Talking about the weapon shop brought a small smile to his face, he loved weapons, and forging them was fascinating.

She leaned back, tapping her foot on the ground. Construction would be a good one, but she wasn't so sure about just kind of building stuff and whatnot. Just wasn't fun. The shops could be nice for discounts on groceries.

"Oh, forges huh?" She wouldn't mind having that as a job.... "I'm actually a fan of collecting weapons. I'll swing by for an application, if you could point out where it was." It'd be worth a shot, even if they weren't hiring at the time. Especially since Cardinal really didn't have much experience in the weapon making process. Testing could be nice, but not exactly worthy of getting paid for it. Be hell a nice though.
