Malek didn't know what to do so his body acted for him. He moved in and just hugged her, he didn't know why he was be that's what his body was doing. Malek also started to emit his warm aura as he hugged her. "I............I don't know what I'm doing Lae. To be honest I don't think I ever know what I'm doing but there is one thing I do know Lae. I love you. You don't need to return the love and you can say you don't feel the same way, it doesn't matter to me. Its a completely natural reaction after all. I just needed to get that out. Even after all that chaos, I still love you, just as I did when we first met."

Laelynn froze up when hugged, before recalling her conversation with Jett. It was fine. She was fine. But she had to force herself to stop and talk to him. He knew he loved her. He said so with the kind of conviction that she just knew he wasn’t lying. He wasn’t just young and foolish. This was the real thing.

“I… I'm scared, Malek. I wasn’t born a diety, I became one, and I don’t know how this will change things. Yué hasn’t had a love before, and neither have any of the other minor dieties that work for him. We’re all generally outsiders, so we all just love eachother like family. This is… different. I’ve seen it but never felt it and it scares me. I… I don't want to run away from it, but maybe… take it slow. L-let things happen as they happen. M-maybe you'll find out that you… don’t love me anymore in a year, or three.”

Laelynn tilted her head, resting it on Malek’s shoulder. This was okay. It didn’t scare her. Lots of people hugged her for lots of reasons.

“Maybe you should ah… “ the dragoness giggled, "cool down a bit Malek?”

Malek listened as she said she was scared. He understood. If one had never felt like this before it was understandable to be afraid now. Malek chuckled a little when she said to take these things slow. Yea, he thought that would be best as well. "Lae we can take it as slow as we need it. I understand what you are going through Lae, I have been in the same position. I understand what its like to feel emotions you have never felt before."

When Lae mention him cooling down he realized he was giving off his aura. He quickly let go, showing the deep blush on his face. "I-I am so sorry Laelynn! I cant control when that aura comes and goes. I should really work on that." Malek was extremely embarrassed about his aura. He saw it as almost inappropriate.

Laelynn giggled happily, the anxieties more or less forgotten. Malek understood. He still loved her, but he was willing to take the step back. To let her adjust.

"Just... Not quite dating, i guess. More then friends, but none of the kissy stuff."

Laelynn snuggled up to Malek happily, more than happy to simply bask in the warmth that eminated from his aura. It was like cuddling a tiny sun~
