Today I woke up later than usual.
I had the same dream I have every night and I woke up screaming. It feels like they're not as bad as they used to be though. It feels, I don't know, less threatening somehow. Maybe being here in Manta Carlos was a good thing after all. I have pretty good friends, and I'm able to study my powers without any fears.
I sent another letter home yesterday. I probably won't get a response until the end of them month, or I might not get one at all.
There were a lot of pictures in that one, because I wanted to show them what fall on the island looked like, and the decorations they have for Halloween here. We celebrated something like it back home, but its a lot different here. It's a lot... funnier, and goofier. I guess its because people around here aren't as worried about spirits.
I bought a big bag of candy to eat. I'm considering celebrating a more traditional Halloween celebration, but I don't immediately know anyone who would be up to it.

Oh wow, I found this under my bed the other day, I can't believe I misplaced it! Last year was a wild ride, I don't even know how to explain it! I'm planning on meeting up with Hal later, so I can't do too much now, but later I'll have to remember to write down everything about 2016! It was the year of the monkey, so mom and brother had a big celebration back home. Now it's the year of the rooster, and I've eaten nothing but sesame chicken for a month. I never want to eat it again. Blugh... |
