Weaponry Practice

Danger wasn't quiet healed, so he knew that heavy duty sword fighting practice was out of the question, since he'd gotten stitches in his shoulder, and couldn't risk tearing them out. Instead, he practiced throwing his dagger, with his good arm. He's whip it at the dummy, watch it fly very fast, and see if he could hit whatever he was aiming at. If he was off, even by an inch, he'd aim for the same target again.

After doing that for an hour or so, Danger took a break, pulling out his water bottle and taking a sip or two. He placed his dagger back into his belt, wincing as his shoulder throbbed. He chuckled at himself, which also hurt, because of his broken rib. "Note to self... Never get caught off guard." he mumbled to himself, placing his hand on his shoulder, more of a reminder to himself that he had to be gentle with himself while he healed.

Sagari stood in a dark corner watching as a young man repeatedly threw a dagger at a dummy, over and over, and over again. She watched him for an hour. She knew she should feel ashamed spying on the poor young man but she didn't. She always found people more interesting when they thought no one was watching, that was when their true colors shown through. When he stopped and put a hand on his shoulder her heart reached out for him. Did she dare ask if he wanted her to heal him? Give up a part of her life for a complete stranger? She hadn't seen anything that told her he was a good or an evil person so what was she to do? She was to turn to her conscience.
She slowly bent down so that the movement would not alert the young man to her presence and spoke quietly with the small furry bear standing near her feet.
What do you think, Arty? To heal, or not to heal that is the question. she spoke with a smirk.
I do not know Sagari, perhaps speak with the boy first? Arty said moving his eyes from those of his beloved owner, and creator to that of the young man sitting away from them. His deep brown eyes were wise beyond his years and full of life beyone the patches and cloth that were his body. Here, pick me up, we do not need to frighten him. Arty said and put his hands up to Sagari like a child tired from walking.
Sagari smiled and pulled her up into her arms, her best friend, and slowly walked out of the shadows towards the young man.
Hello there. she called out with a friendly smile on her face, her crimson skirt flowing behind her with her brisk pace, the bells connected to the hem of her gypsy garb jingled happily.
What happened to your shoulder? she asked as she came up standing a mere few feet from him.

He heard her move before he saw her, so his hand had dropped from his shoulder by the time she greeted him. He turned around with a grin, dipping his head in greeting. "Hello to you too." he replied in his strangely accented voice. A little piece of every accent on the planet, combining into one that was uniquely his.

"What happened to your shoulder?"

He glanced at his shoulder and smiled lightly. So he knew she'd been watching him when he was in pain, at least, which told him that she'd probably been watching the whole time, since he'd heard nobody enter or leave. He mentally cursed at himself for being so stupid as to not check for people. He knew that she wouldn't kill him, but it was a bad idea for a pirate to forget to check his surroundings. But he smiled lightly. "What this?" he raised his shirt to show her the healing gash, "Oh I just had a bit of an accident, is all." he would have shrugged to emphasize his point, but it hurt too much.

"So how long have you been watching me?" he questioned, mirth dancing in his eyes, a small almost smirk on his face.

Sagari looked at the gash across his shoulder,
It certainly doesn't LOOK like a mere accident... she thought and clutched Arty tighter. It looked painful.
"So how long have you been watching me?"
Sagari's face bursted into a blush, her face was so red that if a bull had been in the room she would have been in mortal danger.
She should have expected to get caught but, well, okay, maybe she hadn't.
She looked down at her feet, shifting Arty from arm to arm in embarassment.
I, um...uh...I'm sorry... she said.
She slowly moved to set Arty on the floor, so that could have her hands free.
Well, um you see, I was going to come in here because I didn't think anyone would be in here but I saw you I stayed in the dark corner. she said motioning to the corner she had just emerged from with her head. She was still looking at the floor.
I'm sorry that I watched you but were really good at what you were doing, and I just felt like should be watching you. And then I saw that you were in pain and I thought that I might be able to help. You see, I'm a healer, amongst other things, and I thought, if you wanted my help I could heal your shoulder for you...
She was rambling at this point. She had forgotten how bad she was around other people. For the past twelve years her main company had been Arty and the other gypsies, but even they had avoided her company. She had always been an outcast, even amongst other outcasts.
Arty fell backwards so that he could look up at Sagari, without giving away his cover.
Oh dear, she still isn't very good around other people...we'll have to fix this at some point... he thought to himself.

Danger raised an eyebrow, watching her with twinkling eyes. He really shouldn't enjoy this as much as he was. So he adjusted. "Don't worry about it. I don't mind. At all. It's nice to have company once in a while." he pondered the abundance of shy girls in the school. So far, every single girl he'd met was shy. But he was too lazy to ponder it any further than that, and sucessfully masked his face as another wave of pain shot through him. "And, I appreciate the gesture, but I'm ok." he added in reply to her offer to heal him. Mostly, it wasn't in his nature to take help from people. He'd learned at a young age that in his world, if people do you a favor, they expect something in return. And he wasn't very good at the whole take favor, return favor thing.

Sagari shook her head, took a deep breath, and smiled.
Okay, she said and looked up at him the smile still on her face and the red quickly draining away from her face.
She bent down and picked up Arty and turned setting him down on the bench next to the young man.
My name is Sagari, what is your name? Oh, and just so you know, the offer still stands. If you decide to take it.
She grabbed the sides of her skirt where it was tied and the sides and untied it to reveal black spandex like pants. She looked over at him.
I hope you don't mind if I do what I was going to do in the first place she said and jumped backwards onto her hands pushing up with her hands and landing back on her feet. She started mixing in martial and and her dancing skills creating a sort of poetic form of fighting.

He smiled. "Nice to meet you Sagari. I'm James, but if you'd like, I go by Danger, as well." he replied, dipping his head again.

"I hope you don't mind if I do what I was going to do in the first place"

She asked, well sort of, the question, and then began doing it, so he smirked, finging the whole thing rather ironic. "Not at all. I was just leaving anyways. Knock yourself out." he replied to her question, voice laced undetectably with his sense of irony. He continued to mask his pain. He'd survive. He knew that much, and probably be stronger for it, but it really did hurt every once in a while.

Sagari stopped dancing for a moment, and then looked over to him and smiled It was really nice meeting you James. Oh, and before I forget, that little guy over there is Arty. she said pointing over at Arty who was now standing up watching the conversation. He looked over and Danger and waved
Hello, there, young man. I am Artan, I hope my presence is not frightening or disturbing to you, as it is to most.
Sagari smiled over at Arty, he spent too much time reading books, because she had to perform and he had nothing better to do.

He was a bit surprised that the bear spoke, but wasn't frightened by it. In his line of work, he saw a lot of strange things. He bowed a courtly bow to the bear with a smile. "Please to meet you, Artan. And not at all. I'm quite pleased to be in your presence." was his reply, in which he matched the bears speach impecably. Not in a mocking sense, in a respectful sense.

So he was bored. And he didn't really want to go, but somehow it seemed awkward to watch her dance. Well, now he had an excuse. He was perfectly fine with carrying on a conversation with the bear. If Artan would talk to him.

Artan gave the young man a toothy grin
So, where did you learn to fight like that? I have seen a small amount of fighters in my few years, but you are by far the best I have seen, even better than my Sagari. How did someone of your age come to such a mastry? He asked and looked over at Sagari with a smirk.
She'd been listening in on their conversation even when she continued dancing, she winked at Arty and finished her current move before doing a routine of various front hand springs and cartwheels to the other side of the gym and allowing them to have a little bit of privacy.
Please, if you would sit down, unless you truly must leave to meet a prior engagement. Arty said while sitting down with his fluffy legs out in front of him, he didn't even take up the length of the bench with his legs full out in front of him.
