It wasn't often that Narraine was summoned to the admin wing of the school. The only times before today had been during her registration, and to pick up additional uniforms for school. Naturally, she was confused as to why she would be needed. Perhaps some forms needed to be updated, or maybe she had broken a rule somewhere. It was possible, that someone had reported Jared sneaking into her room. It was even more of a surprise when she arrived to find a young Lamia there as well.

She was greeted by one of the admins, who explained that the young Lamia was named Iesha and that she had been having some issues adapting to things here. They had figured that perhaps a mentoring program of sorts would benefit her, and who better to pair her up with than another Lamia. narraine assumed that with Aylin's pregnancy, they had not wanted to put to much pressure on her, and that's why they had picked her instead. But as it turned out, it was how well she herself had adapted to life here, that really had been the deciding factor.

The admin explained that much of Iesha's circumstances were unknown, but that she had been orphaned, and was brought to the island by some individuals who worked to save extra species people from those who would enslave them. Needless to say, it had been a terrible experience, and now Iesha needed some good connections in her life. Narraine agreed and after a quick introduction, the admin left the two Lamia alone.

"So Iesha. Are you hungry?" She asked giving the girl a gentle smile.

When they brought Iesha in, she was terrified they were going to kick her out and force her to live on the streets because she broke some sort of rule despite how careful she was of being on her best behavior. They assure her that she had nothing to worry about and that they only wanted her to meet someone... which begged the question whom that might be? She didn't know anyone too well here. Then she was introduced to a white lamia and explained the situation... she was rather unsure of the whole arrangement.

"Umm... sure..." meekly spoke Iesha, her tail coiling around the legs of the chair she was in.

Iesha then looked away from the woman... it was too difficult for her to look at her. Iesha did not mean to be rude... part of her was happy to be near another Lamia but... her smile... all that Iesha could she was the ghost of her mother smiling back.

Narraine could see just how shy and timid Iesha actually was. Poor thing seemed frightened half to death. It was clear she had experienced some pretty terrible things in her life. It actually caused her to feel sad, thinking that anything bad could happen to such a sweet looking little girl. Naturally, she wanted to ask her questions but now was not the time, after all, they had just met.

Instead, The larger Lamia opened the door to the admin's office and gestured for Iesha to follow her out. Narraine could see that the young girl had wrapped her tail around the leg of her chair rather tightly as she looked away from her. She wasn't sure at first what to make of things. Was it just crippling shyness, or the result of trauma? That part wasn't clear to her yet, but she resolved to be patient. It was tough to be young and alone.

Rather than push her, Narraine continued to smile as she waited for Iesha to come on her own, and once the pair were out of the office she led the way to the cafeteria. They were lucky, right now most of the students were still in class, meaning the hallways were cleared. With tails like this, it was often a little more hazardous to wander the hallways during peak times, as they could be stepped on or tripped over.

The trip to the cafeteria was done in almost silence. Narraine wasn't entirely sure what to say to a little girl. She herself had not spent much time around children and was not able to have any of her own. It had been a point of sadness for her, but something she had come to terms with long ago.

Before long the serpentine pair had arrived in the cafeteria, and Narraine was suddenly tasked with a new challenge. What to eat? The people in the cafeteria had always been good about accommodating her with large meals, consisting of all meats, and they would often provide choices. today, it was Chicken or fish. "What would you like? They've got chicken and fish. Both are pretty good. I think I'll have chicken." She asked with a kind smile as she gestured to the menu. A meal was a good way to relax, and if she didn't want to talk right away then they could just eat in silence, but Narraine hoped she might be able to coax some conversation out of her.

Iesha watched as the pale lamia slithered to the door and opened it, waiting for her to come with. Iesha spent a few extra minutes seated watching Narraine standing by the door until Iesha felt compelled to accompany her so that she wouldn't have to wait for her any longer than she has as it was rude to keep the grown ups waiting.

Iesha slithered next to Narraine, making sure that her pace was identical to the older Lamia. It was a little weird for Iesha but at least there not so many people in the hallways. As she slithered next to her... Iesha grew curious about her new... caretaker of sorts? She seemed nice and patient with her... but such traits reminded her to much of her mother and it didn't help that she looked like a lighter version of her deceased mom. Iesha knew it was unfair to compare this woman to her mom but... that is all her mind can think of and it just made this whole ordeal awkward for her now they where so close together.

The pair eventually reached the cafeteria. Iesha looked out to the food that was displayed out for their viewing pleasure when Miss Narraine asked her about what it was she wanted to eat.

"Mhmm?" Iesha looked up to Narraine, unintentionally doing a child little held tilt before she looked back to the food displayed "Ummm... chicken." answered Iesha, fidgeting fingers.

When the two of them sat down to eat, Iesha sat on the table seat opposite of Narraine. Iesha would watch how Narraine eat first as she didn't want to offend her bad manners. Iesha was otherwise silent the moment the two of them sat down.

"Chicken it is then." She said with a smile. Narraine placed the order for two meals consisting of only chicken, before paying for their food and heading off to a table. She was taking this opportunity to watch Iesha. to learn how she moved, and her general state being. So far the girl had been quiet, reserved and timid. Her voice had had an accent that Narraine couldn't quite guess, and She had a fidget, that could easily be attributed to nervousness.

Settling at the table was as simple as it normally was. Narraine took her time, coiling her long tail neatly underneath her side of the table, as she assumed Iesha had done as well. She had noticed that there was at least a ten-foot size difference between the pair, which wasn't too odd considering the age difference. She even smiled, thinking that with time Iesha might even end up bigger than herself.

Narraine started eating by neatly tearing a piece of her chicken breast and slipping it into her mouth. It wasn't a big piece, nor was it messy in any regard. If anything she was making eating with fingers look classy. "So Iesha. That's a very pretty name. it suits you." She said giving another soft smile. she didn't want to come off as pushy or overbearing. Instead, she wanted to try and develop a little friendship, and some mutual bonds. Baby steps as it were. One thing was for certain though, this girl didn't have much in regards to people in her life, and Narraine wanted to change that.

After observing how Narraine ate her food, Ishea mimicked the older lamia's eating mannerisms by tearing off bits of chicken with her fingers and popping them in her mouth. Iesha however would forgo the process of chewing and instead the chunks of meat soon after they where placed inside her mouth. While Iesha may not have come off as classy as Narraine, the attempt was clearly made.

When Narraine complimented on her name, the young snake-girl couldn't help but smile "Oh... thats... nice of you." softly thanked Iesha before she looked to Narraine with a more serious expression "Why do you think that though?" questioned Iesha, curious of why it was Narraine thought her name was appropriate for her.

Narraine was momentarily caught off guard when Iesha posed the simple question of why she thought the name suited her. It wasn't that she had no actual answer, just that she had not expected to be questioned on it. "Well, for starters it sounds pretty, and given that you're a pretty girl, it fits." It wasn't only the aesthetics of appearance and sound, though. The name was also very unique, and up till now, she had never heard it before. "Ya know I can't actually think I've ever met anyone with your name before either. Which makes it one of a kind, much like you." She gave a little wink as she finished, and tore off another piece of chicken and ate it.

She had noticed now that Iesha didn't seem to actually chew her food, rather she seemed to simply swallow the portions whole. There was more to it, though, as Narraine noticed some hesitation in her eating. Perhaps the young girl was worried about her manners. Maybe she had been brought up in a much stricter environment than her own. Either way, it was curious.

"So where did you live before you came here, Iesha?" She asked trying to keep the conversation flowing in a casual and natural way. "I came from another world altogether. it was a lot different than this one." Narraine still missed her home and her family, but by this point, she had accepted that the odds of getting back were next to impossible, not that she wanted to go back anymore.

Iesha didn't really react much to when Narraine called her pretty, simply nodding her head in recognition of the compliment. She was a little more respective to when Narraine made a point as to how unique her name was. Iesha loved her name and it brought her joy when someone commented about her name. It made her... feel like someone.

"T-thanks! Its... not very common." replied Iesha, her voice sounding a little more confident for moment.

Iesha would slowly rip off another piece of chicken and pop it inside her mouth, continue to shallow the pieces whole. When asked about she she was from Iesha pause, thinks about it, then speaks.

"O-oh? You... lived on another world? L-like... out in the stars? Whoa... I... lived in a cave... surrounded by dessert. The... err... heros who saved me said that I was in a place called Lybia."

Now that she thought of it, it was possible that her homeworld was actually some other planet, rather than another dimension. Just because it took magic to get here did not mean that it was automatically outside the threshold of this plain. Magic, after all, wasn't a foreign concept here, so it was possible. "Yeah, I mean Maybe. I don't really know for sure." The relatively simple question had now left Narraine with a new idea to ponder over, and it was exciting, to say the least.

The girl then went on to explain that she had lived in a cave in the dessert, in Lybia. That would explain the accent. It even made sense to her now that she thought about it. Lamia often lived in warm dry climates. The Desserts back home had housed many great cities, and their oasis's had always been bustling trade centers. Though now a new question stood out in her mind. "How many Lamia lived there?" She was not trying to be insensitive, but had become curious now that she knew the Lamia here had similar habits to the ones back home.

She took another piece of chicken and popped it into her mouth. This time, though, rather than chewing, she mimicked Iesha and swallowed the piece whole. It had been a while since she had eaten like this. In fact, she hadn't since she was a kid herself. Narraine had hoped that the girl would see that she was trying to be as casual as she could and relax a little more.

Iesaha frowned a little as Narraine fumbled over whether she actually lived among the stars or not. Still... it was a fanciful thought that Miss Narraine was out living in the twinkling starry sky's above that Iesha was smiling at the thought living among the starry heavens above. When Narraine inquired about the other lamias Iesha grimaced. In truth, she didn't know much about any other Lamias outside of her family.

"I-I... I do not know... i-it was just me and my... and my..." Iesha trailed off, lost in thought as images of her family's murder played in her mind like recording stuck on a loop. Iesha close her eyes such and take in a deep breath.

She would look to Narraine with smile and tries to change the subject.

"So umm... w-what about you M-m-missss Narraine? W-what was your home like? Are all lamias white where you come from? I always thought most of us were red." asked Iesha.
