James walked through the museum, he had just finished his paperwork for the day and had decided to look around, he had never been in a museum before and now he had access to a magical one. So here he was, wandering around looking at the exhibits, a small shadow tentacle on his shoulder.

As he turned a corner and saw a familiar person, it was Live, he remembered her from Show and Tell. He approached her, "hello Live"

Live rather enjoyed the Manta Carlos Island Museum. No matter how many times she went to visit, there was always something new to see.

She stood in front of a large painting. It looked like a landscape from somewhere on the island but it had an eerie feel to it. She guessed it was done just outside the Forbidden Forest...or maybe just within it.

She was contemplating some of the artists choice of color when someone spoke to her. She turned to see James, a kid in her show and tell group, walking up to her.

"Oh..hey James." She said turning her eyes back to the painting. She was kind of surprised to see him here. She hadn't pegged him for as a museum going type.

He gave a calm smile, he remembered her from the power class group they were a part of, how she had joined it to avoid detention, "good to see you Live," it had been good meeting another person who had living darkness within them, "liking the art?"

He stepped beside her and looked at the painting, "I just got off work, I'm an intern here," he had loved it here and had quickly signed up as an intern here. As he talked a small shadow tentacle appeared on his shoulder and swayed calmly, "I like to walk through here after work, just look at everything."

Live nodded, "Yeah, my eyes like what they see.." She responded as her gray irises kept themselves scanning the panting. She hadn't really planned on talking with anyone today and was already pretty high so she hoped James didn't want to stick around for too long.

She glanced up, a bit surprised that he was an intern here. That seemed like a big deal and he didn't strike her as the big deal type of person. She returned her eyes to the painting.

"There is a lot to look at in here." Live had barely seen half of it. She was slow going when it came to museum visits.

He nodded when she said there was lot to see, "yea, I came here a lot during my free time, signed up as an intern first chance I got." He loved it here, in general he loved learning, and a museum was made for that, "there opening a new ancient Egyptian section, all about mummies and the magic the Pharaohs used."

He looked at the painting again, he could feel the Shadow contemplating it as well, the various exhibits seemed to keep him calm and occupied, he chuckled a bit, "even the parasite likes it here," he had told her and the others in the power group about the parasite, "I guess its the one thing me and him can agree on."

There was always something new to learn at the museum and Live tried to go when she could. But she had a hard time keeping up with everything passed through its doors, on top of classes, work and personal time. The Egypt thing sounded cool though and she made a mental note to gab another calendar of museum events on her way out. She thought she may have misplaced her last one..

She glanced up at the shadow dancing on his shoulder. "That thing is...interesting to say the least. Have you found out anything new about it?"

She wondered if half the reason he had began the internship was to have access to more research.

He shook his head, "nah, nothing, ant seem to find anything about it." It was strange that the school couldnt figure out where it came from either, "been trying to find someone who can translate the carvings on the box it was in."

The tentacle on his shoulder continued to move about calmly as he talked, "I originally came here thinking maybe I could find something, ended up liking it so much I signed up as an intern," so far the carving didn't match any languages they had records of.

Peculiar to say the least. Live had at least been able to find information about her species, even before arriving on the island. Walker's weren't an unheard of thing, however a Shadow Walker seemed to be without precedent leaving Live to often wonder if she really had much reason to exist in the capacity that she did.

She tore her eyes away from the painting, not liking where the colors were bringing her mind. It had been good for a time but she was now ready to move on.

Live began to move further down the hallway. There was a break off into a room that had been full of abstract space designs she had seen during her last visit. She wanted to view the exhibit again.

"Well, that is unfortunate. Sometimes we just bare things that we cannot understand..."

He walked with her, the Shadow looking at the art as the passed, "I guess that's true, the Shadow doesn't even understand itself." He looked to her, "it's so child like sometimes."

He looked at one of the passing paintings, "at the same time....can't help but be happy he latched onto me." It was strange for him to say that, "I mean....I wouldn't have been able to come here otherwise."

As they walked a single small shadow tentacle appeared on his shoulder and swayed slowly. @beloved

She paused just outside the entrance to the abstract exhibit. She turned to look at James, her gray eyes narrowing as she stared at him for a moment in silence. If there was one thing Live was good at it was a cold, empty stare that made you wonder if she was actually looking directly into your soul.

Suddenly, Live turned and entered the exhibit. She headed straight to a painting on the left side of the room. It was an oil painting with the title "the day the sky broke open". It was fitting. The soft blue colors looked as if they were being overtaken by a blackness that ripped through the background. She stared at the painting for a moment with the same intensity that she had just looked at James with.

She seemed to completely ignore the last statement James made as spoke again, "If I were you, I would get that thing removed as soon as you can. If it's childlike, that means it may not even know itself what its capable of. Wouldn't want it finding out and completely consuming you..."
