And that was why Diego, against his better judgement, was showing Eric one of his favourite rooftops. It was away from the more crowded areas, near this factory but not too near for there to be any smell or smoke or such. And it was on top of a slope and one side faced the sea, a bay to be exact, and sunsets looked pretty darn awesome from there.
But of course Diego hadn't told Eric that, that would've sounded like he was hinting they should watch the sunset or other crap like that, and that was stupider than stupid, Diego definitely didn't want to do that, no way.
Diego could swear Xavier and Risky and their lovey dovey crap was somehow rubbing off on him.
"Just ignore the red flag that there are almost no people around here and it looks shady. If anyone looked at us they would say I'm definitely the one who's gonna get mugged."
Diego joked, a bit of a dark joke but it matched the area that was surrounding them. It wasn't straight up ghetto or anything, but the buildings were made of brick and few were old factories so the walls were bit grey from smoke here and there. The alleys had graffiti in them(pretty poorly made graffiti as Diego spied) and the people that did walk by were factory workers so their clothes and expressions weren't the best possible. But Diego didn't feel scared or intimidated by this place, he had lived around areas like this his whole life, and he was way too nervous to be around Eric to even consider the possible dangers around here.
Diego floated along the road, bit ahead of Eric, changing position constantly while in the air. Occasionally he sat, then lay down, then just spun upside down. He was pretty restless overall, anxious to show this rooftop to Eric, scared the guy wouldn't like it or would think it was lame.
"Were here! Ready to have a little climb? 'Cos there's no way I'm lifting your muscular ass up there."
Diego said suddenly, halting before one of the buildings that was higher than the rest. He turned to grin at Eric, still upside down, and gestured to a fire escape at the side of the building. The first ladder was a bit high, but surely Eric could reach it. Diego hoped, at least, because he seriously wasn't strong enough to lift the guy.
"I would make this a race but I'm 90% sure you'd lose~"
