Shul snickered a bit when Sark sputtered, that was a new thing too. Shul was going to have fun discovering all these new things about Sark. And he would try his best to try and help Sark through his old experiences.
"Don't drown, or I won't have anyone to praise anymore."
Shul grinned and started floating on his back. Or tried to float, and sunk. He moved back upright and also sputtered. Some water had gone into his nose, that was a feeling he certainly had not missed.
Shul gasped a bit.
"It's not true! I would never forsake you! Can't you see I do it all for love?"
Shul made a gesture just as dramatic as Sark and had a forelorn expression but it soon melted into a grin.
Shul touched his own hand to Sark's when he leaned forward, setting his own forehead against Shul's. Shul felt warmth spread inside himself and smiled happily when Sark answered him.
"It's good you should say that, I think I need reminding once in a while. So don't go anywhere."
