"Oh ho ho ho! What a lovely day to come to the amusement park! Now whose great idea was it to come here again?" perked up Izumi as their little family group tagging closely behind. With everything going on back at the academy, Izumi thought it would be a nice diversion for her daughter Rin and... sort-of-son Neon do something together! And what is better than going to the old amusement park?

"Mhmmm... wasn't it your idea mom?" dryily retorted the younger tanuki glossing over their phone

"Oh why... you right my dearest daughter. Your mother is full of great ideas isn't she?" gloated Izumi as she begged the question, tilting her head up proudly and fanning herself with her hand fan

"Great ideas like how you got drunk and tried to pick a fight with a squirrel?" coolly reminded Rin, putting her phone away as she gives her mother a mischievious smirk.

"Ahhh- bhaa baa baa! Haa ha... I thought we promised never to speak of that ever again of darling Rin~" awkwardly laughed Izumi whom is now hiding her face behind her fan out of embarrassment.

"Mhmmm~ I had my fingers crossed." announced Rin, beaming a smile as she pulls out her right hand from her back, her index and middle fingers crossed as she proudly holds them up

"Oh you are as conniving as kitsune you know that? No offence Neon." mockingly lambasted Izumi, before she looked to Neon apologetically.

After a brief chuckle, Rin also looked back to Neon as well with a big grin on her face still.

Neon had been following them a little ahead at times, a little behind at other times, always taking pictures with a borrowed camera, and through a pair of Digital Silk threads linked to his left wrist he has been transferring the pictures from the camera to a SD card, the former within his left hand and the later inside his pocket, a pair of small screens and keyboard projected on his wrist.

When he heard about Izumi's fight with a squirrel he snorted, failing to hide the fact that he had been paying attention to their conversation. "Ah, no offense taken h-here", Neon had a brief chuckle fit when he responded, "Although I'm not gonna d-deny I have been up to mischief for a w-while."

"Oh have you Neon? Well as teacher and parent condones such trouble-making way... but-" Izumi then gives Neon a smirk "-thats only if you get careless and get caught."

"Wow, how irresponsible mom." joked Rin

"Anyway, let us head on inside and enjoy the attractions." said Izumi as they head on over to the entrance. After the attendant allowed entry, Izumi and Rin waltz into the amusement and consult a map placed close to the entrance.

"Alright where should we head off first... I say we go to-" before Izumi could finish she found herself quickly interupped

"The roller coaster." said Rin, already making their way to the roller coaster

"Oh okey! Roller coaster it is!" agreed Izumi as they hurry up to catch up with Rin

Rin was already quick to to lead the pack to their intended destination but stopped short at what looked like haunted house attraction feeting a bit grinning face of some murderous clown.

"Oh, they have a haunted house here?" piped Rin, looking to the attraction with curiosity

"Looks like it. Did you want to check it out?" inquired up Izumi

"Nah, looks like its for babies." answered Rin whom turned their head away

"Oh oh oh? Too scared daughter?" egged on Izumi

"What? Am not." insisted Rin, crossing their arms and raising the head defiently

"Hee hee hee... what about you Neon? Do you feel brave enough to enter a killer clown themed haunted house?" asked Izumi

"Heheh, nothing any of us can do, it's in our blood to give in to mischief.", and how. One could imagine devil horns and tail on Neon when he gave the mischievous smirk following those wotds. But how often did he really? Either he was good at hiding that he did it, or he was bluffing.

He was once behind them, but now he went by their side. As they consulted the map, the cyber kitsune took a picture of it just in case they needed a reference. "Uh? Roller Coaster?", he never had memory of any, such attraction was never visited by him while he was human, and as a game character the closest he got to was an abandoned mine.

Still, even if he had been eager to give it a shot, Rin was quick to change their mind. Hearing about a Haunted House has caused Neon to go slightly pale and avert his eyes, until he was brought into the argument. "M-Me?! N-No way! I mean, I may be a former haunting myself, b-but even then I'm a scaredy one!", behind his spooked facade, the kitsune grinned. He was faking fear, because this was chance for some mischief.

"Oh, didn't realize you all had coulrophobia." mockingly pouted Izumi, a bit disappointed that Neon had no interest to check out the haunted house attraction either but they were not going to try to force it.

"Oh you and your big fancy words mom. Say Neon have you even been on a roller coaster before? Or anything like it?" piped up Rin, spinning around and walking backwards as they turn to ask Neon the question.

As Rin brought up the question, Izumi looked over to Neon with keen interest. There was much in his world that must have been so different to their's that she wondered the same thing.

"Or even just amusement parks like this one?" added Izumi.

"No, I'm f-fine around clowns, but I've trauma of haunted houses!", he kept up with his lies, making it as convincing as he could, but Rin's question popped up, Neon seemed to calm down almost instantly, if anything just mildly concerned.

And it was for no reason: "Never been to an actual roller coaster. The closest I have been to was an abandoned mine within the game, there was a minecart segment in it that would go for about ten minutes, and in it we had to shoot targets either with a ranged weapon or spells."

"Oh, that sounds like way more fun!" piped up Rin

"And a bit more dangerous." said Izumi as they all arrived at the end of the line of the roller coaster.

Judging from the length of the line it will quite of bit of wait. Yet at the same, the screams of people on the ride sounded like it will be worth the wait.

"Alright well, looks like we have some time. How is school going for the both of you?" inquired Izumi, making small talk to pass the time.

Rin's only response was an indifferent shrug and went back to checking her phone. With Rin's apparent answer, Izumi turned to hear how Neon was coping with school.

"Considering it was a game, it was not dangerous. But in reality, let's leaver it at "you don't have anything to hold you in your seat in a minecart". Thankfully from what I see these have protection.", the line was long, and so was the wait.

Neon heard the question directed at Rin and him, and unlike her silent shrug, the fox gave a concise answer: "Because of my recent evolution, I will be returning to the power classes, just when I was about to not need them any longer."

"Ah thats right. Looks like your powers had other plans for you hrmm?" said Izumi, whom couldn't help but think of Neon's evolution having such convenient timing. But it was probably for the best that it happened how than later. "Well staying a little bit longer for power classes isn't a bad thing right?"

After some more idle chatter, the line slowly trudged on. What felt like almost an eternity turned out to be just 20-ish minutes. But at least they were close enough to the launch bay to watch the carts load up with passengers and speed off. Looks like it wont be that much longer until they will be let on.

"Huh, I swear we would have been waiting longer to get on the ride based on the line outside. Okey where do you guys want to sit? Up in the front? Or just anywhere we can get a seat?" asked Izumi, observing how the line for the first car is a bit longer than the rest of the carts. Obviously the front is the most thrilling but they could gett on the ride sooner if take the less popular carts to the back.

"I vote we all wait for a spot in the front most seat. Its the only real way to experience a roller coaster. What about you Neon? Do you want to ride up in the front?" asked Rin as they put away their phone which they were looking at nearly the entire time they were waiting.

"At least the Digital Silk doesn't weaken me significantly. Not as far as I have seen, at the very least. Transformation and illusion used to be my heftiest experiences before power classes, I was overpowering or underpowering them too hard!", at least didn't look Neon would be in power classes for too long.

As their conversation went on, the kitsune let on a little more about his routine outside the studies, as that hadn't been hard to predict: Studies aside, he would be either reading somewhere, playing games, exploring the forest, attempting cooking (and apologizing after for the shortening of their provisions the month before).

But soon enough the line diminished to the point they could see the cars being filled, and he had to agree: "The front IS the most exciting spot. In the minecart quest I first had to seat in the back row, so I was only there to snipe what slipped the other players, but on the front you get little preparation for what is to come and causes some thrill. I still rode it after getting the quest done just for the fun of it."
