Look for a white deer? That was a gift from a local god? Oh yeah, that's right. Gods are apparently a real thing and live on this island among the rest of the populous. It still boggled Jae's mind the number of people and species living on the island. Beings he grew up thinking were imaginary. "That's really helpful to know, thank you." Jae should remember that though.
Jae watched for a moment, as Jeremiah made his way back to the school, then went on his own way to town. Like always, it just took a few steps before he was in town and from there it was only a couple minutes to his aunt's house by the docks. Jeremiah was so nice through their whole walk, Jae promised himself that next time he won't be so caught of guard. Maybe he can write to his Aunt and Uncle and ask they send him some of his old fantasy books. Perhaps he'll have a few that the other hasn't read.
Maybe this whole endeavor gave Jae a chance to make a new friend. The teen made it safely home, and quietly entered the house and to his room so as to not rouse his aunt. It was midnight and he did not feel up to explaining where he was or why.
