Watching the sky

"Well try again, this time try to think it through clearly and maybe it will come out right." Kacey said with a small smile trying to form. "I just want you to be happy again. I won't get mad this time." Kacey drew a line in the sand, it was in front of them. "See I'll always be on your side. No matter what."

Ian smiled, "I think the reason I'm having trouble saying it right is because i don't even really know why I have been acting like this." he said, "It's really not like me." he said. "I guess it's just been wishful thinking, that i have kept wishing that i had asked you before he did, and now resenting the fact that I didn't he said as he put his hands in his pockets and felt something at the very bottom. He pulled it out and opened his hand so that they both could see it. He didn't know what it was until he looked at it. It was the diamond he had gotten from the cave a few days after he met Kacey.

Kacey smiled, as she pulling out her own and putting it together with his. "Look they glow together." Kacey said looking at the two. "Just like us when we are happy." Kacey said. "Well I’m not going to stop going out with Mikah because of you and I’m not going to stop being your friend because of him."

"Thank you." said Ian with a smile, "That's what I wanted." Ia watched as the two rocks glowed together. he was happy that him and Kacey were still friends. Ian noticed the sun start to show through the clouds a bit.

"So.........What about that song, huh?" Kacey said, forgetting about the bad mood she was in earlier. "I haven’t forgotten about it." She said, looking up to the sky.

Ian smiled, "I've been practicing it, that way I won't screw it up when i go to play it for you." he said with a smile.

"And when will you play it for me?" Kacey asked looking at him curiously. "How about now hmm I don't know now?" She said.

"I'll play it whenever you want me to." he said to her with a smile.

"Ok then come on you can’t back out of it now." Kacey said standing up.

Ian stood up and smiled. "My guitar is at the lake already." he said, "I hid it somewhere, so we have to go there instead of the dorms." he said.
