Clayton Palmer - A man who gets forcefully transformed and sent into a blind rage when he sees a certain demon, which he has dubbed "the Inciting Demon." Things I want for him:
  • Someone to be on the receiving end of his rampage, preferably someone who can kick his ass. This'll hopefully put him on the path to becoming more cautious in his demon form.
  • Someone who thinks they might be able to rid him of his curse.

Marissa Porter - A woman made completely out of metal. She aims to enroll in the police academy and then join the force. I'm not sure what kind of threads I want for her exactly, so any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

So I have a few ideas for Clayton and Marissa.

For Clayton, I can absolutely have someone have to deal with him when he rages out. All of the ones I'll suggest could possibly beat him (some definitely could), so you get to pick.
  • Shara Ohsima - retired assassin and actual child, with the recycled soul of a tyrannical angel. She's fast and strong, and can throw knives sharpened spoons with killer accuracy. She doesn't initiate fights but has no qualms with ending them.

  • Daenmor Rhasseri - arena fighter and wyvern with some pretty rad regeneration. He's not a bad guy, so he definitely wouldn't try to kill Clayton, but he is a Heel in the arena so he probably won't be nice about it.

  • Tilly Wallace - she'd have a heck of a time dealing with him because she can't use her big magic hammer on him. Definitely a slog of a fight, but one she would definitely be down to finish if he did something like trash her van.

  • Laurie Chase - normal human, basically, but with several generations' worth of monster hunting expertise stored in her head. What she lacks in raw power she makes up for in adaptability. Also she could be a vector for more anti-demon sentiment he might already have.

For Marissa, I have a couple of different ideas that I might run by you.
  • Godfrey Broen-Crawford - He's a superhero from another dimension who also works at the Bear Claw Cafe, as one of the pâtissiers. He can have a pretty abrasive attitude, but he means well and he's not a terrible person. Could have them hanging out after work, getting to know each other, and seeing if that sparks any more ideas.

  • Roldan Drakenhardt - a police officer who could help put her more solidly on the path to joining the police academy. He's laid back and easy going for the most part, but he has intense "don't make me do my job" energy.

  • Jeremiah Grunewald - He's a lich witch boy with a personality arguably as sweet as hers. Could be fun to have someone as pointedly optimistic to interact with.

@Kada The first four are all good options for Clayton, but Laurie would be the most ideal, since it might help him learn that he can't bulldoze his way through all his problems.

As for Marissa, it would be nice for her to have a good relationship with someone she's probably going to be around a lot, so Godfrey seems like a good choice. Plus, she'd probably think the superhero thing is really cool.

Alright those sound great, and I think I will use Laurie since she hasn't seen a lot of action yet. I don't know if you want to do both threads at the same time, but if so I can do a starter for one if you want to do the starter for the other, whichever is better for you.

@Kada We can do both at the same time, yeah. I think I'll start the one with Clayton and Laurie. Where is Laurie most likely to be? Because Clayton would just be wandering the woods somewhere.

She could be wandering the woods, yeah. Training outside of her normal Scout duties. Gotta keep those monster hunting skills honed. I'll start the one with Broen and Marissa then. After work at the Bear Claw sound good?

What exactly is involved in Douglas Kerre's "Extreme physical/mental transformations.?" I am new to the site and that idea seems interesting for my first character but I would like a bit more information.

@Alias Every once in a while, Douglas inadvertently transforms into a sludge monster that destroys everything in its path. This occurs when he lets his guard down. Something else that can happen when he lets his guard down is that he might start slowly shifting to another personality type, in which he becomes a bit more eccentric and demanding.

Ah ok I misunderstood and thought it was more of him transforming the character I would be making. Not that the character would be one that can deal with him when he transformed. I am still up for possibly helping with this plot, but it will depend on how my character comes out and whether or not they could help at all. @MarcellusD
