Vivien was wandering around. She sighed. I'm so bored!!! she thought to herself. Was there nothing to do? She'd even done her homework for Pete's sake!!

Akira walked up the stairway to the top of the towers, he had decided to explore his new surroundings and though somewhat rickity looking the tower seemed like a great place to start, he could get a great lift off from here and fly over head looking at the school from the birds eye view. He reached the door and pushed it open. There standing was a girl, he looked at her and smiled. Hello, my name is Akira. I'm sorry if I've disturbed you. I promise I won't stay too long.

Viven turned to him and grinned broadly. People! "Oh, no, please stay! Stay as long as you want! I'm so bored..." She blushed, realizing how incredibly stupid she sounded. "I'm sorry, my name is Vivien. Pleased to meet you."

Akira smiled at her. The people here, with the exception of a few he had seen, were very eager to speak with other people. It was as though they had all been deprived human company for a very, very long time.

Hello Vivien, it is a pleasure to meet you as well. Now, if you don't mind my asking what are you doing out here? It high up and rather cold, not the place, it seems, that most would go for pleasure.

She sighed. "I dunno...exploration, maybe? I guess I just wanted to know where all the cool spots in this place were..." She laughed lightly. "I guess it's obvious that I'm fairly new here."

Akira smiled at her "That's okay, I'm new here also. I came up here so that I could stretch a little. It's been a while since I had a good fly.[/color] he said uncurling his wings to their full length. They were almost too long for the room and he curled them back into his back, wincing a bit. They were really stiff.

Vivien couldn't help but notice his large wings. "Wow. Those are beautiful." Her mouth was slightly agape. "I know this may sound odd and you don't have to say yes...but could I touch them?"

Akira smiled at her and nodded 'yes' that she could touch them. He spread out his wings enough so that she could touch them. That was the first time he had been asked that but it wasn't a big deal. When they had first grown in he had touched them every day to see if they were real.

Vivien grinned like a little girl. She gently lifted her hand to touch his wings. They felt so soft, like a baby bird. She stroked his feathers lightly. "So soft..." she murmered aloud.

Akira smiled at her. It amazed him that she was so impressed with his wings.
Are there no others here with wings? he asked with slight apprehension. He didn't want to be different again. Not here, not where everyone was suppose to be different.
