"Cade, I am sorry, and I try to stay on your good side okay?" Mandy said, trying not to bow her head again.

She really didn't like hostility but right now she didn't exactly have a choice. She eyed him warefully.

"I really didn't mean to stare."

"It's fine. As of right now, we're cool. And you didn't have to hide your face like you just did. It gives away your sensation of intimidation, which would only make matters worse, in most cases."

Cade stood up from the tree to stretch his arms out while yawning.

"So, Mandy, what exactly were you doing up there?"

"So, Mandy, what exactly were you doing up there?"

"I usually come here once or twice every two days just to clear my mind. I wasn't really expecting someone to show up but I am okay with it." Mandy said, turning to look out to the lake, then looked back at Cade, "And I like looking at everything in the forest."

And with that said, Mandy looked back out across the lake.

"I don't really mean to look like I was intimidated. I do that sometimes without thinking."

"I don't really mean to look like I was intimidated. I do that sometimes without thinking."

Cade simply shook his head after hearing this, then looked straight, in the direction of the lake.

"You really should think before you act. If you do it other way around, it might cost you in the long run. I come here for a swim on occasion."

"Did I just sound stupid to you for a second there?" Mandy said softly.

Mandy looked out across the lake, thinking that she was stupid and all other sorts of things. She then sat down on the grass and scooted up against the tree.

Cade watched her carefully as she raced back up to a tree. He didn't really hear what she had just said. He simply shrugged, then sat back down in the grass, possibly staining his clothes, and looked up at her.

"That doesn't mean you are stupid."

"So uh...what were you doing here besides swimming I mean....It must be cold." Mandy said with a small smile.

Mandy looked out across the lake again smiling to herself.

"Not cold enough to keep me inside..."

Cade got up as he answered her this way, thought about how she got up the tree, and tried to get up there himself. But that turned out to be a dumb idea. He fell hard on his backside.

"Ow....what do YOU do here, besides gaze off into the distance from a tree?"

Mandy smirked. "Nothing much to do at the academy but do assignments and other stuff, so I like to come out here and clear my mind."

Mandy watched as he tried to climb up the tree but ended up on his backside. Mandy laughed as she climbed down and sat next to him on the grass. As soon as she sat down on the grass, she pulled out a rubber band and put her waistlength hair into a ponytail.

"If your game enough, do you want to take a swim?" Mandy asked.

Cade looked over to her as she sat next to him on the ground and offered some time in the lake, which he already had. He nodded and replied.

"I'm always up for a swim."

He stripped back down to his black swimming trunks and dove in.
