Walking Along...

Mandy was walking along the lake thinking about last nights party. It went well for a while but then she remembered about a stupid report in History class.

She walked along until she came to a tree, climbed up and sat on a branch and looked across the lake.

"Gosh, its so pretty here.'' She thought to herself.

After a priceless day with his new friend, Cade Laidon elected to remain at the lake, sitting by the shore to reflect on what had happened. He seemed to enjoy his time with his new friend Nyax. Never did he think he would meet someone quite like him. He opted to go for another swim. "Another time around wouldn't hurt...." He took off his shirt revealing his black angel wing tattoo and black swimming trunks then jumped into the lake. He swam around not thinking that anyone would be nearby.

Mandy watched as a boy took off his shirt and jump into the water.
She laughed softly at him. Mandy couldn't believe that anybody would jump into this lake.

"Its too cold," she thought to herself.

As she watched, he swam round and round the lake. Mandy suddenly jerked to attention as she saw that he was swimming towards the tree that she was sitting in.

"Did he see me?" [/I]She wondered. "I hope not."

While swimming around, Cade made his way to a tall tree. Not thinking that anyone would be there, Cade emerged from the water, then sat himself, with his back laid against the trunk of the tree. "Ah, that felt good." He looked up into the night sky.

Mandy watched as the boy, rather man, sat down and leaned against the tree.

"He must be freezing," Mandy thought to herself leaning over to look at him.

But as she leaned over she slipped and started to fall. She yelped and landed right next to the boy. Then she jumped up and started to run across to the next tree and climbed up it as fast as she could.

"Dang, that was close," Mandy muttered to herself, calling herself stupid and in the process of all her muttering after that.

While looking up, Cade never expecting to see someone sitting in the tree above him. As someone that appeared to be a young girl began to fall near him, he quickly got up and ran out of the way. He watchesd as she fled to another tree. He simply shook his head then sat back down near the same tree. "What was that all about?" he murmured to himself.

When Mandy saw that the boy wasn't going to follow her, she climbed down, straightened her shirt and walked over to the boy.

"Sorry about that, I thought that you were going follow me." Mandy said, head bent down so that he couldn't see her face.

"I hope that I didn't startle you." She said.

He looked over to her as she approached him. Sure he was startled by her, but he wasn't going to make it an issue to worry about. He noticed her trying to hide her face and sighed while shaking his head.

"Well, you did, and just what do you think I am, a stalker, like a predator desperately searching for prey? It would be wrong for me to do that, for any reason." he answered to her in a deep, dark toned voice while refusing to even look at her. "You were watching me, weren't you?"

"Yes, I was," Mandy said, jerking her head up defiantly.

"Look, I'm sorry, and I should've just walked away but I like it here okay?"

And with that her head bent down again slightly embarassed.

"I am Mandy," she said softly, "So can we please try to stay on good terms?"

"So, you like it here.....fine. It would be wrong for me to ask you to leave, which I wasn't intending to do anyway."

Cade finally turned his attention to her. Cade looked at her while she tried to look away from him. Maybe she was acting shy? Or maybe she felt intimidated by Cade's quick hostility.

"My name is Cade. Just try not to get on my bad side, or you'll regret it."
