Waiting in a coffee shop

Running around the beautiful courtyard Ruby still can't believe she's actually here! Her heart is racing! She wants explore everything! Gazing around she notices a cute little coffee shop nestled near the school grounds- it looks like something out of a travel magazine! She immediately rushes over and makes her way inside, the bell above the door ringing to signify her entrance if she wasn't already loud enough.

Ruby scans the shop, it's so much more fancy than any of the cafés she'd been to back home! Ruby also notices it seems to be rather vacant save a few customers scattered around the tables. It's then she notices a girl who looks lost in thought at the nearest one. Curious if she's a student Ruby makes her way over giddily and leans into her line of sight.

"Hey there!" she greets, her excitement clearly obvious as the girl can barely stand still. "Are you new here too? Are you a wizard!? I mean a mage? Sorry I'm just really excited!" She stands up straight and extends her hand out. "My name's Ruby Pendragon, nice to meet you!!"

Entering Starlight Academy, Arvin scans the area. It's big and amazing, but there are far too many people. This will take some getting used to. Watching Ruby, he goes where she goes.

Following in suit with Ruby, Arvin enter the coffeeshop. The place feels overall like a regular coffeeshop, nothing special. Seeing Ruby so happy and excited, however, makes me at ease a little. He goes to the front counter and orders a mocha before rejoining Ruby. He notices the young girl at the table. Ruby introduced herself, he might as well do so too.

"Arvin Pendragon, twin brother to Ruby." Arvin says in a low, dull voice. He dislikes this confrontations.

What a wonderful day today was. She didn't know what it was, but she felt that today was going to be special. Maybe a little late, but the feeling persisted throughout the day. Perhaps it was the new types of food in the canteen this afternoon, or maybe it was because she got to practice her magic in gym again.

Whatever the case, she decided to hop over to the coffee shop by the courtyard to get some tasty, tasty treats before going back to the dorms, but she wasn't in a hurry, so she had a lot of time to savor the sweet treats. And as she approached she noticed two people enter the coffee shop as well, probably to get something too. Silly, why else would people go to shops?

With a cheery smile and an over-dramatic entrance, Lorencia sent a signal to the person at the counter to get her usual order. And then she saw three faces she hadn't seen before in the academy. Sliding on over to the three, she greeted them, saying "Hello there! You look like you're all new to the school!" There was a lot of enthusiasm in her voice, and a lot of bounce in her step. "I'm Lorencia Hel'Sarie, nice to meet you!"

Hearing this Ruby is immediately curious, placing her hands on the table nearly tossing the contents off of it. "Wait Luna you're not a wizard!? Are you like a warrior or an athlete!?" Her mind races with all the amazing things this mysterious girl could be.

She also notices her twin brother coming by to stand beside her with a coffee in tow, she was so busy running around most people would lose track of her when she got like this but not Arvin! Still curious Ruby takes a sip from his coffee, immediately jumping back as the scalding hot heat touches her tongue. "HOT HOT HOT!!" she exclaims, reaching for her bottled water and gulping it down.

Recovered she turns to face the newcomer, taking in her positive aura and liking it as she extends her hand out to the girl. "Hi Lorencia! My name's Ruby!" Her hand still out, she leans in closer to the girl. "So are you a wizard?" Also curious about Luna as well she shifts her attention between the two girls, as well as her twin as she's unable to stand still.

"Be careful Ruby." Arvin says calmly. To Arvin, Ruby meant more to him than anything in the world. He would hate to see her in any kind of trouble. After giving Ruby her coffee, Arvin turned around to Lorcenia. "Arvin Pendragon." He says with clear boredom on his face. He hears Ruby's screams and turns back around, but is relieved to see that she'll be fine. "Ruby, if it hurts anymore tell me, I'll heal it with my magic."

Arvin then turns to see Luna pointing at him and his sister. "We're new here. 7th grade. Mages and as you can see, human." Arvin starts drinking his coffee and then questions Luna and Lorcenia. "So why are you two here?"
