W00t!

As the boy sat down to begin eating, a young female was strolling through the hallways in search of the cafeteria for a good meal. Her long jet black hair dangling below her lower back, wearing her typical white dress that seemed to fit her too big, Kole Hamels had been walking around nonstop. After countless minutes of searching she finally found it. She took a peak inside to see all the people eating. She walked in thinking that she could use a good meal as well. She grabbed a white plate and filled it chicken and white rice and a soda to wash it all down with. After paying for her stuff, she looked around to find an empty table, only to see that a boy was already sitting there. Great. She walked over to the table and offered the boy a slight wave and small smile. "Hi! Mind if I sit here?"

"You can sit."

When answered to her and moved his legs to make more room for her, Kole's smile grew a bit wider. She pulled back the chair in front of her to allow herself to be seated across from him. "Thanks." She took a fork and filled it with rice, then slowly shoved it into her mouth. She chewed, swallowed, then took a bite of her chicken. It seemed to taste good, for she let out a sigh of relief as it begun to satisfy her hunger. She looked at the boy as she noticed the dead silence between them. She insisted on breaking the silence by introducing herself. "Umm...I'm Kole. What's your name?"

Kole took some more bites of her chicken and rice, then glanced at the boy who gave her his name.

"Dev"

It was pretty nice of him to introduce himself too. Kole probably wouldn't remember the name later on, but she was good at recalling faces, for she was just examining his. She twisted the cap off her bottled soda and took a few chugs from it to avoid choking on her food. "It's nice to meet you, Dev. Is that short for anything?" she asked out of curiosity.

"Devlin..."

Kole had a gut feeling that "Dev" was a nickname of sorts. Sure enough she was right. She was just finishing up her rice before taking another bite of her chicken, followed by a swig of her soda. "That's a really nice name. I don't see why you use the whole thing." she joked, with a wink.

While he responded, Kole had finished up on her chicken and chugged whatever was left of her soft drink.

"Dev is easier to say."

"I...see." Kole got up from her seat to toss her empty bottle and trash into a trash receptacle. She quickly sat back down and rubbed her stomach to feel the sensation of being full. A good meal it was. "So umm, 'Dev', how long have been here, in the school I mean?"
