Danica blinked, surprised. "Why would your parents want your powers to go away? Powers are amazing!"

Then realizing his powers might be some sort of lethal weapon, she asked, "What are your powers, anyway?"

David blinked, he'd never really shown his powers off before...maybe he should...after all he was in a school full of people like him.

"well they thought that if my powers went away I'd be normal" he shrugged "you know...like a proper un powered person" Then he smiled

"but you wanted to see my powers eh?" he outstretched a hand to his side and slowly a glowing blade extended from his finger tips making a large blade "this is it. this stuff sorta runs through my body and I can make it in to extensions of my body...mostly blades"

"Oh, wow," Danica said, her eyes wide. She watched him extend a huge knife out of his arm.

Weird! She knew everyone had powers, but she didn't think they could be that dangerous.

"Wouldn't you be scared that you could accidentally chop someone's head off all the time?"

David chuckled "I've not killed a person..." he grinned slyly "yet..." Though the fact did worry him...I mean he would've murdered someone and thats not good....but he should focus on the positive.

David pulled the energy blades back inside his arms and they disappeared as if they were never there "though I think thats why my parents want me here...so I don't hurt anyone"

"Good," she said. "If you had, I'd probably have run away screaming awhile ago." Danica grinned.

"Yeah, there's classes and stuff. The teachers will help you not kill anyone. This is a school for controlling powers, after all."

"Well I think I've already got control...but who knows maybe I've got other uses for my powers" David said "so it'd be good for me to stick around still"

He shifted on the ground and laid back, folding his arms behind his head looking sidewards at the girl

"This'll be an intresting place I'm sure" he finally said smiling

"Mmhmm. You'll probably figure something else out..." Danica told him.

She shifted her weight onto her other hand, then jerked it up when she pressed on a rock. She flicked the pebble away and replaced her hand in the grass.

She smiled, nodding. "It's not as creepy here as it looks, believe me."

"I hope so" David said nodding to himself or to her...he wasn't really that sure.

"so tell me...what can you do?" he asked, it should be good to learn more about the people here and their powers he thought, better to know then to try to second guess all the time.

Danica's eyes lit up when David asked about her powers.

"Ooh, I love them. I control light," she said, then concentrated. She imagined the whole world dark and black. When she opened her eyes, she was satisfied to see that it was completely blacked. She flicked a little bit of light, like cutting a hole in black paper, in the air. She smiled and pushed it, watching it bob around her head.

Then she concentrated again and it was back to normal. She smiled brightly. "Awesome, right?"

He glanced aorund at the darkness and tried not to gasp at the specticle he was seeing. now that was impressive...quite good when running from something he imagined.

He quickly regained his composure and smiled, trying not too look so shocked "thats an impressive skill you've got yourself there...must be useful"
