Virgil rarely worried about things, he was a grump and a smartass but a worrier he was not. He'd been worried about Hella, had been through the whole ordeal, damn Fae magically forcing her to do their dirty work for them and getting her arrested. So yes, the grump dragon had been worried about his girlfriend, and had jumped at the chance of visiting her once she started taking visitors.

The young dragon wasn't sure what to expect from the islets, the facility was much more hospital like and not what one would expect from a prison, it gave him a bit of relief all things considered. He was given a bracelet to shut off his abilities while he was here, told that no physical contact would be allowed, the latter annoyed him but it was worth it to talk to her.

Being lead to a room, he was told to wait, he'd been informed that all the Fae magic had been stripped from her, including her physical alterations, in order to cut her ties to the court. While the physical changes didn't matter to him, he knew Hella might be struggling with it. He was relieved she wouldn't have to serve the Fae anymore though.

He looked to the door as they entered, his nose instinctively twitching as he caught her scent, it lacked the Fae magic it usually held, but it was her. Virgil gave her a small reassuring smile, something only a few saw from him, "hey there." She did look different, reverted to her more masculine form, but it was Hella, "I wanted to see you as soon as I could." @Kadakism

Hella refused to look at Virgil, so she didn't see the smile or anything. She picked at the bandage on her right arm, wholly unsure of herself. She didn't want visitors. But Virgil had been trying to see her since she had gotten arrested. And the therapist that had been assigned to her had told her that seeing people who cared about her could be a good thing, if she felt up for it. So she had agreed to see him this time.

Her mouth twitched a bit as she slumped further into her seat. Why was any of this happening? She didn't want him to see her like this. She didn't want anyone to see her like this. She just wanted to disappear.
"Hi..." Hella finally managed. Despite her best efforts, her voice was deep, a nice sultry baritone she had once been told by a family member. Perfect for seducing the ladies.

"Sorry to make you... wait and all that. I just..." She trailed off. She didn't know what to say, what to feel.

Her voice had echoed through his ears, his enhanced hearing meant he heard every bit of it, no matter how hard she tried to hide it. Virgil was smart, but emotions, things like this, was different, far more difficult than just knowing facts, or beating someone at chest.

"It's ok, I'm just happy to see you," she looked lost, she'd lost everything she'd gotten from the Fae. "I get that you needed some time," his eyes were a bit softer, a little less reptilian, "and you know, take the time you need." He brushed a bit of his red hair from his face, wishing he was better with emotions, that he could make things easier for her.

Virgil looked to her, he didn't really know what she was going through, magical bindings and having magic stripped from you were things he'd never really experienced. "I'm not going anywhere, I want you to know that," he couldn't even if he tried, he cared to much about her.

Hella looked up at Virgil, grimacing a bit. She didn't know what to say at first and so chewed on the inside of her cheek. Finally she adjusted in her seat and spoke.

"Maybe you should."

Hella's mouth twitched and she bit her lip to stop it. A small drop of blood formed on her lip when she pulled it free of her teeth.

"I'm not a good person, Virgil. I took that man to Ebonyridge, knowing full well he was going to be punished for doing basically nothing."

Lying through her teeth. It felt so good to be able to do that again. She cast her eyes up at Virgil. "I think... you'd be better off."

"Hella...," he looked at her, "what happened, that's on the Queene." Emotion and logic rarely went went hand in hand, but he supposed this was the closest to that, "you couldn't have known the kinds of things she'd make you do, no one could have really." Perhaps her making a deal with the Fae had been a mistake, but there was no changing the past.

The young dragon wasn't completely sure how to go about helping her, things like bindings and magical mind control were beyond him, but he loved her, he had to try.

Virgil tilted his head, his nose twitching slightly as it picked up the scent of blood, just a little, "I'm here Hella, to the end of the line." He took a small breath, "look, a lot has happened, I know it'll take time to figure things out, where everything stands, but I want to be there for you."

Hella grimaced and fidgeted with her hands for a second after Virgil spoke. Her anger was flaring up, the same anger that her family was kind of infamous for. She spoke, but her words came out far more calmly than her anger should have allowed.
"Is that it?"

"How can you b so calm about this? This entire situation is fucked, and here you're just as stoic as usual. I even think the biggest smile I've gotten out of you was when I had your c-" She cut off angrily. Standing up abruptly with a slam of her hands on the table. The guard hidden behind the door banged on it three times, warning Hella to sit back down. So she did.

"How am I supposed to expect you to be able to be there for me? Did you even notice this? Do you even actually care?" Hella held up her right arm, covered from wrist to elbow in bandages. "I tried to kill myself, Virgil. I took a sharpened piece of plastic and I opened my arm up."

Hella inhaled sharply, trembling and trying to catch her breath. She buried her face in her hands to hide the fresh tears streaming down them. Was she being overly emotional? Most definitely. But right now, she felt like she had to overcompensate.
