Posters. Posters everywhere.

One of A’laya’s major tactic, apparently, was visibility. They had posters up all around the school, wherever they were allowed to hang them. There were about 10 different posters—each with a different picture of A’laya. Some feminine in presentation, and some masculine. Meant to appeal to a very wide audience, obviously.

The posters didn’t really…say anything about A’laya’s platform. They were just large pictures that said “Vote for A’laya!” along with links to their youtube and blog.

Feminine in presentation that day, A’laya was just putting up some of the last of their posters outside the dormitories. It had warmed up a bit from the chilly winter, so A’laya was thrilled to wear a few less layers than usual: fleece-lined tights and a cute sweater dress with a colorful pattern.

They stepped back from their hard work with a happy sigh. Who could possibly not pay attention to A’laya with all these posters up?

A'laya whirled around when they heard their name called out, a big smile on their face.

"Hey Emily! It's going pretty good!" With their usual hyper energy, A'laya gestured to some of the posters they just put up and spoke quickly.

"I got these all over the campus now! Put them up all by myself! I was going to wait for my girlfriend to get out of class, but I got horribly impatient and did it myself instead!"

The particular poster A'laya was standing by showed them dressed up in a shell bikini and shorts on the beach. Well, it was....attention-grabbing, at least?

"How about you?" A'laya tilted their head with a smile. "I'm sure things are going good for you, right?"

Maybe it wasn’t in A’laya’s best interest to help the competition, but they couldn’t help but feel like suggesting to Emily that she should put up way more posters of herself. She was such a cutie! She should flaunt it!

“Ah yeah taking a break is always good. Don’t want to get so burned out you can barely function, right? That’s no good at all!”

You know, that thing A’laya had a bad habit of doing all the time.

“Position? Well…” A’laya tilted their head, thinking a moment. “I guess I never really said I wanted any specific position. I just want to be voted in to help the school and my fellow students however I can!”

Shit. Was A’laya supposed to pick a specific position? Oh crap. Welp. Maybe they could just let the voters decide?

“You’re gunning for President, right?? That is aweoooome! You’re ambition is fierce and awesome!”

A'laya laughed when Emily mentioned she hadn't really planned on it.

"Oh man, that's wild. But hey, you definitely are giving it your all and you're doing an awesome job."

A'laya leaned in as Emily started to speak more softly, eyes widening a bit.

"Really? You'll help me out? You scratch my back I'll scratch yours sort of deal?"

A'laya tilted their head and considered a moment. Well, no harm in it, right? They could work together to both be on student council and then collaborate. Between Emily and the other guy who was running for President, Emily seemed more A'laya's speed. They had similar focus--making the school a better place for the students.

"Yeah, alright! Let's help each other out," A'laya soon replied with a big grin.

It was true--A'laya did not ask many questions. In fact, they were literally asking none of Emily. They operated a lot on impulse and instinct. They instinctively liked Emily more than Havoc, therefore they would side with Emily. Easy. The fact Emily was a small and cute girl probably helped too.

"Deal! I'm in," A'laya said, shaking Emily's hand.

"I appreciate the help! Internet popularity has certainly been helping me out, but reaching people who aren't watching me online is another task all together."

This whole elections thing was pretty fun! Getting to meet new people, getting those new people to pay attention to them--good stuff.
