Mummering... More of it... A bit more, and then some clanking.
"EUREKA! I have found it!"
Cried a young girl's voice. If one would open the door of the second room to the right, they might find a young girl tuning her voilin.

Jennifer had been digging through the instrument pile for quite a while. When she put her violin down in here, she did not expect it to be under a large pile of horns in the far left corner. And so, there the young girl sat, fiddling a bit here and a bit there with her strings.

The young childl finally pick up her baton and ran it over the strings, producing, to her delight, a sharp, sweet sound. She ran it over again, then started playing a simple melody from memory. It was not complex at all, and sounded as if it didn't take long to learn. But for Jennifer, it did.

Finally, she put down her violin and pulled up a music stand. She took a book out of the beginner pile and placed it on there. She flipped to the first page and picked up her violin...

Topher avoided the room, even though he needed to get in there. Violin was grating on his sensitive ears. But he really needed his sketchbook, so he waited at a distance, trying to avoid listening to the music as much as possible.

When the violin finally ceased, and the player began to rustle papers, he opened the door, and winced to see her pick up the violin again. "If you wouldn't mind.." he began quietly, shifting his weight uncomfortably, "That is..." he tried again, and then coughed to cover his uncomfortableness, "Well, um, If you could.." he paused again, trying to find the best possible way to phrase his sentence without being rude, "I just need to get my sketchbook, I'll be quick. Sorry." he finally managed to force out the sentence rapidly, brushing past her to pick up the straggly book that had more loose pages than pages that were actually in it.

He offered her a weak smile, and then turned back to pick up the papers sprawled near where the book had been. He slipped them in, one by one. One sketch was a tuba, another a piano, and so on.

Jennifer put her violin in her lap and stared at her newest visitor. He didn't look out-of-the-ordinary. He was the first person who she had the nerve to talk to. Even though shew could be loud, she didn't like going to things that would get her noticed a litlle to much. Besides, this was one of her first trips out of her dorm, because she had to unpack.
"Eh heh heh... Sorry if that sounded bad."

She saw his uncomfotableness, and tried to be friendly. She would have died if she could just have one of her older sisters here. That would make everything so much easier, because they always knew what to say.
"I'm Jennfier."

Those two words were all the little girl could think of to say. Ow! Her hand had started to ache, the one with her little marky thing. She rubbed it and frowned a bit. Then she looked up at the boy and grinned.
