Appearance Description:
Captain is a corgi, all blond fluff and big ears and wigglebutt. This corgi is male, approximately 25 lbs (little flufferbutt), with smooth toe beans and well-rounded nails. Also, big squishy black nose and wibbletastic brown eyes that will 100% convince you to write up this homework for such a cute pupper, yes you will!
Personality Description: Vex's temperament is modified by his current life, with a base of cheerfully reckless, clumsy, and airheaded. Vex is the sort to read a warning, agree, and then do it anyway to see what happens, but mess up somehow.
In short, Vex is the reason for those weirdly specific rules. Except maybe the one about no porn on company computers on company time. Probably. It may have been on a dare. Vex is super easy to dare. 110% suggestibility rating. -10% learning-from-experience rating.

Powers: Rapid Reincarnation
Upon death, Vex reincarnates as the nearest option which is likely to please the person last in Vex's mind. Which can backfire. Badly. It often takes some time for Vex's previous life memories to kick back in, although there are cases where they've been present since birth (or hatching; there was that one life as a bird, but it didn't even last long enough to figure out what kind of bird).
When Vex reincarnates, his mind is coloured by the new species and body but remains otherwise intact in terms of intelligence. Vex isn't spectacular at problem solving or experiential learning, so it's really not all that helpful, but Vex can totally be that corgi who understands you (if you speak a language he's previously learned and not too rusty in).
And then falls on his face trying to do as asked.
Altered Aging
Upon rebirth, Vex rapidly ages to physical maturity. In species where physical maturation normally takes over ten years (i.e. humans), Vex ages at approximately twelve times normal. In species where physical maturation is already more rapid, Vex ages at about six times the normal rate. For example, this current corgi life is physically two years old, but was born four months ago.
Once physical maturity is reached, the ration inverts and Vex ages at either one twelfth or one sixth of the usual rate. This would be great if Vex were better at avoiding stupid deaths.
Note: It took several rounds of rebirth for this power to get up to speed, but it is running at full capacity as of Captain the Welsh Pembroke Corgi.
Biography: Once upon a time, Vex was born and didn't grow up unusually quickly. Probably. Hard to say at this point. At any rate, Vex remembers bits and pieces of school, and the address 5652 Chapman Road, along with the name Vex Avery. Somewhere along the line, Vex must have died, because then was the slightly-clearer life as a big fluffy dog in the same place, but not at school. That was the first time Vex died of old age. Well, euthanasia due to old age.
Vex's next life ended quickly, some sort of twittery bird, and the next as well. Still a puppy, staring up at a stranger in a dull and dingy alley. Apparently he should have been tougher, like a tiger or something.
A tiger? Was that what this was? So pouncy and heavy! And people liked talking to (her?), so Vex talked back, because that was polite, although it came out pretty growly, but then more people came!
Vex's tiger-life was cut short by freaked out humans who thought she was trying to murder everyone when she just wanted to play (albeit with puppy actions in a fully grown tiger body). Maybe animals weren't good for talking to people, and Vex should be a people again.
What's this, what's this? Human fingers! And human-sounding sounds!
Rapidly followed by a reserved escort to a strange island, and school again! It was glorious and fun and there were all sorts of cool non-human people, except then there was fire and blood and shadows.
But then there was light again, and warm fluff, and while people were surprised that this little flufferbutt acted weird, they accepted him!
