Their eyes are most often crimson, in rare cases the eyes take on a deep gold or pale blue color. This could mean that there is a wider spectrum of colors their eyes can have..
Their whole body is covered by dense fur, while usually short, in some cases it becomes longer, possibly curly. Differences in density have also been seen, so it is not unusual to see one that has a mane. While the color is usually white, there have been cases of patches of different colors and patterns appearing, in which case the color can be anything from a grey or black to even pink. Their bellies have usually a different shade of color than the rest of the body.
The tail is a soft tuft of hair, which sometimes seems to have a mind of its own, giving away the bunny’s mood quite often. Their body has the shape of an egg, with elongated ears that can be longer than 5 inches. Most of the time they move on all of their legs, however there have been cases of bunnies “hopping” around on their hind legs only. On their backs one can also see small, leathery wings, which they keep hidden most of the time, and while they can use them to fly, they generally don’t, as it is faster to move around normally.
The bunnies use their claws mostly for digging, though they can be used for defense as well thanks to being rather sharp. Their teeth however are two fangs, contrary to a normal bunny’s elongated front teeth. Despite being shorter, they can be extended to twice their normal size, while the sharpness is similar to that of a well-kept sword.
The difference between a male and a female Vampire Bunny is a bit hard to see at a glance. Usually the male is slightly bigger than the female, though the difference is very miniscule. There are two indicators to distinguish the gender. One is the shape of their tail, the females have more of a fluffy, ball shaped one, while the males’ is an elongated heart shape. The second difference are the wings. The females have a pattern on them, while the males usually have two-tone wings. Though they can be really similar if one does not know what to look for.

They are very careful creatures, usually not coming out of their burrows if they don’t need to, while at the same time they can be really friendly. Though there are individuals who love to explore and will travel to remote locations just to satisfy their curiosity.
Their behavior varies depending on the situation and who they are interacting with. Due to being very receptive to emotions they can tell if the person or people the bunny is facing might be hostile or not. If the person is friendly, they might interact with them or just go about their own way, while to someone who has hostile intentions, they would either attack or run away. However it is important to note that they dislike fighting and will choose to flee if they can.
In the wild, Vampire Bunnies communicate by making sounds similar to a cat’s meowing and squeaky meeping. Though if you listen closely some sounds sound really similar to words. There have been instances of bunnies learning to speak languages by imitating sounds other beings make. Even if the words came out clearly, they still sometimes added things from their own language to the sentences. Not to mention the voice being quite adorable in its own way.
While they are fully capable of living separately, there have been cases of nests counting several dozens of them. Furthermore, once a colony forms, they burrow deep into the earth with one big chamber to sleep in. Additionally if a member of the colony was missing, they’d be unable to rest till they find him or what remained of the one missing.
A very important thing to note is that under no circumstances should you attempt to capture a Vampire Bunny, especially if it is part of a colony. Even with precautions, if they get enraged and fight back, there is a very serious threat of dying. This is mostly due to them being relentless in that state, not to mention their ability to drain energy can quickly pacify any creature.

The stored energy can be shared with their master, however that is only possible when they are close to him.
Normally a bunny is not a big threat as they are mostly passive creatures, which will only defend themselves when they can’t run away. As they are demonic creatures in essence, their bodies are more durable than a that of a normal bunny.

Keeping them as house pets is also a good idea as they are low maintenance and don’t leave a mess. However some see them as more than a nuisance, as they can cause devastation if attacked. There have been instances of settlements being wiped out due to a colony of bunnies getting enraged.
Many bunnies live in colonies but it is not rare to see individuals roaming around while exploring. They are curious beings by nature so seeing them exploring would not be strange. One can often find them in caves, which is due to them living in burrows. That however can often get them in trouble as some of the places they go to are outright dangerous.
This particular bunny we will talk about may be one of the luckiest or unluckiest members of their race. It was one of those with massive wanderlust. Hopping around, exploring the world around him just to see how things differ from one place to the next. Happy just to be going about and finding new things.
One day the bunny found a strange looking hole. While it was very similar to a burrow entrance it had a different feel to it. It seemed both dangerous and not at the same time. Needless to say the curious bundle of fluff decided to look what was on the other end of that hole. Needless to say that was no burrow entrance. The bunny soon found itself falling into a cave, fortunately thanks to its wings it managed to land safely. Though once it realized where it was it could only feel terror…
The bunny landed in the lair of one of the most notorious and battle crazy demons in the underworld. It hoped it would not get noticed when sneaking out, yet while slowly moving towards where it thought the exit was it stumbled. Rolling down the small ledge it fell right in front of the Resting demon. The moment the bunny tried to run it was noticed and had the perspective of being crushed by the had reaching out for it in its mind.
For some reason though the demon hesitated while the bunny was frozen. The only thing that came to the little bunny’s mind was to chomp down on that hand, in an attempt to drain energy and maybe have a chance to escape. Once it started feeding it couldn’t really stop, but at the same time it seemed like the energy filling it was different than anything it ate before. At the same time the demon behaved oddly afterwards. Instead of killing the bunny, it took care of it, not only that, it started to go out and look for more bunnies.
The more bunnies there were, the more the demon changed, though once it had a lot of them, it seemed like there was something going on. Soon, the little bunny would know, not only that, it’s accept what was coming, after all it would have so many more opportunities to see different places, things and beings…
This was the beginning of the journey which the bunnies took with the demon, becoming part of it but also it becoming part of them. The road they walked now would be filled with many situations, both happy and sad, yet they were not alone and would always be able to cheer each other up. Nothing would separate them, till the end of time.
