"I'll just be around the centre if you need me for anything. My daughter Kiyomi is coming for a visit this afternoon," Natasha told Allison Katherine, or Ally Kat, one of the dhampirs who worked at the MCSS as she entered her office on the main entrance level to grab a set of keys. The MCSS was in an old converted and desecrated church, something that highly amused Natasha for the simple irony behind its location.

Before she purchased the building, she had made doubly sure it could have "its holiness" taken away and that they could excavate and build underneath it safely. And after various consultations with experts and on the advice of her old mentor she had hired the necessary people to desecrate the ground - a demon lord had helped her with that - and construction of the society began with over 85% of the MCSS underneath and hidden away from prying eyes, sunshine and any negative energies from the outside world that might affect its members.

Garbed in her best white sundress and matching booties, Kiyomi bustled into the MCSS, following the directions written down on the note she had been given.

The red door on the outside was fitting. Hilariously so, to Kiyomi. The NEK0 had gotten pretty curious about vampires ever since moving in with Tasha. Unfortunately, she had only done so much research on the subject since school had begun. There had been other things to catch up on — literacy, world history, technology, math, biology, and the most more ponderous subject of socialization had kept her well-occupied.

Speaking of which! The NEK0 gave the secretary lady a cheery wave as she passed by, beelining to where her note said Natasha’s office would be.

With a cheery purr, she poked her head into the door. “Tasha?”

Natasha could almost sense Kiyomi before she came rushing into the MCSS and Nat's office like a happy little whirlwind. Something which always amused Natasha if she were honest. She was also finding her to be delightful company and quite honestly enjoyed having Kiyomi around, her outlook and zeal for life was so refreshing.

"I see you found the MCSS without any problems," Natasha remarked with a grin as she placed to one side her organizer and came around the desk dressed in a retro black, red and tan zigzagged colored knit dress. It was many of her looks, today she was going for a fun early 70s hippy look.

"How was your day at school?" Natasha asked as she greeted her daughter. "Anything new or interesting?"

Kiyomi proudly held up one her note and of her many, glitter-spangled maps of the city. “Yes! Is very good at navigating very big spaces now. Has gotten good at climbing trees too. At school, she was first up the rope in the gym, nya, very fast today. Made her happy!”

Though, truth be told, the NEK0 also gladdened at be where she was now, instead of the classroom.

Kiyomi genuinely enjoyed school, but she was a little frustrated with trying to understand everyone around her. Little things the teachers or students did went right over her head. Sometimes, the misunderstandings snowballed in weird ways. Mama Tasha was a nice reprieve from that. She had patience, and Kiyomi didn’t feel the pressure of judgement bearing down on her so.

Stashing her papers into her schoolbag, Kiyomi hopped into a seat across from Natasha. She couldn’t resist giving her chair a good spin. “How did Tasha’s day go, nyuhh? What good work is she up to?”

"Climbing trees, huh?" Natasha remarked with a wide grin as she eyed Kiyomi. The irony of nek0s climbing trees was not lost on the vampiress. Though she did refrain from making any inappropriate cat stuck up in a tree jokes.

Natasha felt Kiyomi's varying and mixed emotions as she talked about school and completely understood. She could easily imagine just how overwhelming everything was for still for her adopted daughter. Especially since there was so much to learn about Manta Carlos and those that lived on the island.

"Well, I am getting everything ready for a special visit tomorrow," she told Kiyomi matter-of-factly, smiling in quiet amusement as the nek0 twirled around on one of the office chairs.

"The vampire minister is coming to see the center," Nat explained, "And I was just about to do a once over of the MCSS, see if I need to do anything or buy something for the visit," she said as she leaned against the desk casually.

"I was also thinking, you might want to help me out?" Natasha confessed, having thought it might also be a fun way to slowly introduce Kiyomi to her world of vampires, demons and other feeders.

As her chair twirled around and around, Kiyomi peered over the back of the seat, her tailtip curled in curiosity and her eyes on Natasha as much as possible per rotation. “Vampire minister?”

A society of really cool vampires probably needed a leader, she supposed. The title did make her a tad curious. It had a very grand air about it, a sense of great and ponderous important. What was a vampire minister like? Maybe spooky, and imposing, and really, really old! And wise. Leaders should probably be very, very wise. Or… well, she really couldn’t know until or if she met them.

Kiyomi decided to squish back her initial expectations to leave room for whoever the minister actually ended up being.

At the last question, the NEK0 leapt off the chair, wobbling a bit from all her spinning. “Ooh, yes! Kiyomi will help you make it extra-special-nice for the minister. Would very much like to see what people do here.” She teetered on her toes, grinning while regaining her balance. “What Mama Tasha does especially!”

It was all she could do to remain polite and not blurt out, "Let's go, go, go!"

"Yes, there is a vampire Minister on the island, one Mr. Pietro Popov," Natasha explained with a tiny nod at her question.

And then almost when Kiyomi almost leapt out of her spinning chair at the idea of helping her get the center prepared for Minister Popov's visit, Natasha had to grin, fangs showing, at her giddy excitement. Nat had actually been somewhat worried about how to introduce her Nek0 daughter to her world. Granted Nat wasn't the most normal of vampires in existence, but a vampire she was, and there were things she did to survive that might concern or bother others.

"Well, how about a tour first, and I'll introduce you to others as we go along," she suggested as she stood up and basically followed Kiyomi out of the office. "Oh, and take the stairs to your left," Natasha called out laughingly as she watched her take off into the foyer which was almost directly outside her office. The stairs lead directly to the game's room below them.
