Private Finished Valentine Gifts

Michi had been standing in front of her mirror, trying to figure out her hair for the past 30 minutes. She stared back at her reflection, all her hair down and out from it's usual buns just because she couldn't decide how she was going to wear it next time. She could always go with her usual if she hadn't much else of an idea, but the voices were very encouraging about getting her to choose. Knocks on the door broke her out from her musings and quickly got her up on her feet. She went to the door and found Rowan standing there, looking like he was in a good mood. She smiled back at hi.m, "Rowan!" she greeted, followed by a soft chuckle. She stepped aside, letting the boy in. "Nah, I was just trying to mess with my hair. Come on in." She closed the door behind them after Rowan walked in, and for a moment her gaze caught something hidden behind Rowan. "What brings you here?" she asked curiously, trying to peek at what the boy was hiding from her.

Michi stifled a smile at the compliment. "Thanks, but I was thinking if I could pull off a flower-shaped bun. It's so much effort,." she told him. She puffed her cheeks when Rowan poked it, then slightly stuck out her tongue at him before returning her expression to its usual. "Also, you're always in the neighborhood-- the dorms aren't that far apart," she said jokingly, gesturing him to take a seat on her bed while she went to her closet where she kept most of her belongings. She came back from the depths of her closet with a pair of spoons, not even wondering what they were for. Not that she had a reason to ask anyway, but her intrusive voices remarked 'It's not like he could murder you with a couple of dull spoons'. She immediately filed away the thought, bringing her focus back to her friend.. "Wings?" she asked, playfully squinting at him for the question. "I'm assuming you're not talking about food soooo. What is it? " she asked, eyeing the bag which she was pretty sure Rowan was still keeping away from her. "Actually, I'm doing pretty good today, but what's in the bag, Rowboat?"

"Well, if you're using that nickname with me, then I'm gonna keep going," she replied, sticking out her tongue again before laughing it off and handing the other spoon to Rowan. Michi sat on the other side of Rowan, at least respecting that he did want to surprise her with whatever things he'd brought with him. As soon as the tub came into view, she let out a small squeak in delight. "Aww! Rowan that's so sweet of you! You even remembered my favorite flavor," she cood, her smile clear on her face. Everyone probably knew Michi was a sweet tooth and would probably have anything sweet, but she could count on Rowan to remember her top favorites. And of course, Rowan didn't stop there. Just when she thought that was it, he handed her a plush cat. Michi inhaled deeply, holding the plush so carefully in her hands before holding it close to her face. She turned to Rowan, her eyes looking like she would cry before whispering in a tiny voice. "Rowan... it's so cute..." But of course, Rowan then pulled the string, revealing the reason for his earlier question and that was the final bit. Michi squeed and bumped her body towards Rowan as if to hide the dumb grin on her face. "Nooo. This isn't fair how'd you find something this cute??" she sad in a small voice.

Michi's expression softened, looking at the little plush toy in her hands. A precious gift from her closest friend. And he'd looked so hard for something he knew she would like like he always did. Even if it sometimes seemed like it inconvenienced him. Sometimes, she wonders if he would try to take it all back but he never did. And for him to remind her a lot that she deserved nice things... She sighed softly, making sure she wouldn't make too much noise. She was thankful for Rowan, not just for being so kind to her but for many other things. Her thumbs twiddled with the plushies' wings. "I really love it," she said softly, kind of nuzzling into the hug out of habit. "You know you didn't really have to get me a gift on Valentine's," she told him. She wasn't big on gifts, but Rowan never really let that stop him from getting her any. And he never failed to get her the best ones.

Michi let out a chuckle at Rowan's words. "Well this little guy should know he'll be learning to help with the house chores like his new brother," she said jokingly, looking up to gaze at one other plush toy, a old teddy bear, that was sitting on the dresser table -- the one that Michi received from her mother. While she was reminiscing, she heard Rowan point out about her being a sucker for sweets that she ended up playfully swatting him on the leg -- not that he would have felt any pain from that. Right as she was ruminating about that, Rowan ended up pressing the icy cold tub on her, making her jump away from him. "You...!" she laughed. She'd have pinched his cheeks if she hadn't reminded herself about his burns. He wouldn't feel it, but she felt bad agitating them. Her hand hung in the air before she withdrew it back to her. She set down the cat plush next to her, making sure it wouldn't fall off the bed. She puffed her cheeks again when Rowan's spoon touched her head, before deflecting it with her own spoon like a mock swordfight. "Well, we can figure out this guy's name while we eat," she said, tapping on the cover of the tub as she said so. "I haven't thought of one, but I think I heard "Chewy" from the back of my mind," she laughed, thinking it was a bit absurd.
