A tall, muscular man bounded down the hallway, stopping every once in a while to knock delicately on a random door with the back of his hand and question "Noah?" quietly.

There was no one in the hallway, thankfully, or they would no doubt have questioned the male's odd appearance, a too-small blue jean skirt and pink tank top almost popping at their seams as they struggled to stick to his massive frame. The young man paused, frowning intensely at nothing and straining for a few minutes. "What was it.. What was it.. One-forty-eight!!!" He announced triumphantly, his voice shifting to a female's for a few dangerous seconds before Ed remembered and deepened it again. He took off again, long black hair streaming behind him as he counted the room numbers. "145... 146.. 147.. 148!" He pounded on the door, attempting to look through the tiny peephole located just below the '148' screwed into the wood. "Come on, Nooo-waaahhhhh... It's Ed! Remember?"

OOC: Open to all occupants of room #148..

Shuffling came from somewhere in the dorm room, and the door opened a crack, Noah frowning at the unfamiliar voice. "Who's-" He paused, eyes widening in surprise and then slitting in suspicion behind his glasses. "Winter? Why're you all guy-like?" He asked, recognizing the shirt she was wearing as the one he'd seen on her before.

She grinned, shifting back to her normal form for a few seconds before hearing footsteps and quickly turning back, muscles sprouting out of nowhere and face loosing its softness in favor of a manly butt-chin. "Girl's aren't allowed in here, the sign says. I didn't want to get in trouble." She pouted, looking incredibly odd with her muscle-ridden chest thrust out slightly and hands behind her back. "Are you mad at me?"

"It's not like- I don't mean-" Noah stuttered, sighing and pausing a moment before starting again. "What do you want that couldn't wait until later?"

"Oh!" Ed nodded, widening her eyes as she remembered what she was standing outside his door for. "See, this girl says there's a dance coming up, and i wanted to go, because i like to dance, but she said you can't go alone, and i asked her if she would go with me, and she said she couldn't, because it was supposed to be guys and girls together, and she said someone had to ask me, and you're the only guy i know, so could you please ask one of your guy friends to ask me to the dance?" She paused for air, clasping both hands on her chest and looking up at him sadly. "Pleeease?"

Noah laughed, scratching the back of his head and looking at her quizzically. "Winter, you even know how to dance?" He opened his mouth to say something else, suddenly hearing footsteps in the hall and dragging the oddly dressed male into his room. "Change back. It's creeping me out, having you looking like that."

Ed pouted again, pushing his shoulder girlishly and "I can always le-" she started, squeaking quietly in surprise as he pulled her into her room and changing back obediently. "I can always learn. How hard could it be? She says there's gonna be dancing, and music, and food, and it's all gonna be in the ballroom!" She widened her eyes, staring at him as if her announcement would change his mind. "Pleease ask one of your friends to go with me? And make him have blonde hair, too." She giggled, flopping down on one of the beds and looking around the room curiously. "It's no fair.. Your dorm room is better then mine." She jumped up to a sitting position, looking at the other bed and clapping her hands together. "How about your roommate? Is he fun?”

Noah chuckled, imagining Winter on a date. She'd probably want to go to the zoo or something.. She definitely wouldn't get the whole holding-hands and kissing thing. He dropped his smile, replacing it with a soft frown. He didn't like the idea of her going out with anyone, as if it would ruin her innocence to be in love. Besides, it just seemed like she was young for that sort of thing, although he'd wanted to date when he was her age as well. "I don't have any hot friends, Winter.. Sorry." He shook his head at her question, following her gaze over to the bed on the right. "No, no roommate. You know, you can go alone.. There’s no rules against it."

Ed frowned, tilting her head to the side curiously. "I don't want anyone on fire or anything.. I'd get burned whenever i tried to go near him." She paused, thinking a moment. "But it would be nice to have someone hot nearby so i wouldn't be so cold.." She shook her head, deciding. "No, i wouldn't want one of your hot friends anyway. Do you have any normal friends? And if i go alone, i wouldn't have anyone to teach me to dance.. I need to know how to dance if i'm going to go." She sunk into thought again, suddenly raising her head and "I know!" she announced happily, bouncing up and down on the bed. "You can go with me! Do you know how to dance?"

Noah laughed again at her misunderstanding, starting to correct her. "No, 'hot' just means.." He paused for a second too long, trying to think of a way to word it.

"What? Hot means what?"

He sighed, shaking his head at her question. "Never mind. No, i don't have any guy friends. At all."

"Oh, su-" Wait, what? Did she want him to- He laughed, shaking his head. "I can't go with ya, Winter... I can't even walk, let alone dance. Just go alone. You'll find someone to teach you to dance.."

Silence. He did have a point, Edward knew. He wasn't exactly the nimblest person in the school.. She sighed, flopping back down on the bed and kicking her feet. "I can't go alone.. Everyone'd laugh at me." She pouted, propping her chin up with both hands. "And i already bought my dress. Pleease go with me? You can be my.." She paused, chewing on her lip and trying to think of the word. "Escort? And then i could dance with everyone, and you could eat stuff and make everyone sad when they see your leg." She giggled, leaning back on the large pillow and staring up at the blank white ceiling.

Silence yet again. She turned on her side, staring over at the boy seated in the chair in the middle of the room. "I don't know anyone else who cares enough to take me."

Noah laughed again, staring at the girl sitting across from him. She reminded him of his sister, the little one who always wanted him to play with her. "Well, if you already have a dress.." He sighed, putting his feet up on the old desk. "And forced pity is always fun." He flashed a smile at Winter, picking his notebook back up and continuing what he had been writing when she had knocked. "I'll go with ya."
