“Well uuuh....” Alex said looking for a way to explain his points away. They were really good points she had to admit but she just wasn't sure how. “Well I guess I'm not verrry good at my job and stuff.” She explained rather flimsaly. Would he buy it? If he didn't she could just play it off as a stupid joke, if that worked problem solved it it didn't well maybe the boy would leave her alone then. Either way she didn't

“I don't like being around people,” Alex continued this time not really lying. “They treat me differently they act funny around me and react oddly whenever I talk. Boys look at me funny and hit on me and girl keep trying to pet me or dress me up in there ugly clothes. I just can't get used to this place. I just want to go home.” Everything Alex said was more or less true, she didn't even realize it but she was taking this time to vent her frustrations. Maybe it was because she was actually pretending to be someone else wich is what made the normally guarded Alex so willing to do this. But what she realized was she had forgotten to keep her fake accent up.

“I don't like it herrre,” Alex repeated somewhat softer. “It's too strange for me. I just want to go home.”

Gallent felt really bad for Alex she was forced into a mission she really wasn't ready for but was forced to take anyways. She didn't fit in with normal humans and as such was treated in was she found bothersome and hurtful. No wonder she was hiding up here in this tree. "Well Alex-sama if you need anything don't hesitate to ask me. I will do anything I can to lighten the load for you." Gallent said placing his hand on her back and tapping lightly a few times in an attemt to make her feel better. "I may not be a miracle worker but just you see. I can do anything I put my mind to and right now my mind is on helping you!" he said giving her a thumbs up and placing a big grin across his face. Hopefully this will help her a bit, I really hate it when people are this depressed he thought.

As the boy patted her on the back Alex almost lost her balance and fell forward, it was her claws dug into the tree that kept her stable on the branch. But she did appreciate the fact the boy was being so nice to her. She was feelling guilt for lying to the boy so much. She probably should have just told him the truth to begin with and that would have been much easier way to get him to avoid her, this, it wasn't working as well as she hoped it would. He seemed like such a nice boy and only wanted to help, true that was probably because she was a catgirl, and he seemed to have a fetish for those things, but he was mostly keeping it under control.

“Thanks,” She said looking up at him and smiling. “I appreciate that.”
