Iaemor kept walking to follow, catching up to her each time Chloe jumped from a spot of shade to the next. Thinking to himself, about the point that she made about school. She was right, it would likely not be boring surrounded by people in the prime of the sexuality. Older teenagers, and young adults were certainly more prone to the feeling of lust that feed him, and being willing to freely act upon them. "While true that out of classes would be pretty fun, in them might be less so. Though I suppose learning more about this world is never a bad idea." Iaemor answered as he reached her, but before she leap away to the next spot.

"A place to visit in passing perhaps, but I am not sure how people would react to a non-student swinging by often." Iaemor mused a loud, only to be struck by an idea on the subject. "Though I would not be adverse to short courses or some stand alone classes. Though I do not know if they offer such." He said looking to her, it wasn't a question but his look suggested an expectation of an answer as she had been the one to bring up the school in the first place.

"That could be worth looking into," Chloe shrugged. "I think there are literature classes for non-students. You don't get the free room and board that way, though. In fact I think you have to pay for it. But there might not be grades or essays."

They had to cross the street. Quick steps over hot asphalt, then she skipped over to the restaurant's entrance. Chloe was relieved to lay her bare feet on cool tile. She held the door open for him. "Have you ever had fast food before?" He didn't need to eat, after all, and he hadn't been in this world for very long.

Iaemor was slightly surprised when the course, suggestion in return to his musing was actually caught his attention. He wasn't a stranger to prose of varied kind, having used it before and even written some of his own as well. Perhaps learning more of the varied writings of this world wasn't such a bad idea. Though if it was something that cost money, he would have to find away to increase his income. Forcing his subjects, that had come to this world with him to pay more then they already did didn't sit well with him. He was a king after all, not a dictator unlike the demon who had driven him, Maya and his followers from his home.

He didn't voice his interest for now though, crossing the road after Chloe which was a pretty simple thing seeing as Manta Carlos didn't see much in the use of cars compared to other places of this world. Reaching the door, and walking inside as Chloe held it open for him, he looked over his shoulder. "Not really, in passing once or twice." Iaemor answered her question about food. "The un-required sustenance I have partaken in, has been more oft of the liquid variety." Iaemor explained, a reference to his favour for alcohol.

"The unrequired sustenance," Chloe echoed with a smirk. That was such a dorky way to say it. She thought his way of speaking was endearing. "Well, this stuff's pretty bad for you. But it's also really tasty."

She got the fried chicken with french fries. With how she had been eating, she was sure she would have gained weight by the time the ordeal with her father was over. Once Chloe had paid for her own food and his, they'd get drinks (she would need all the caffeine in that diet soda later) and they would claim a booth. She sat across from him and smiled without realizing it.

Iaemor mirrored Chloe's order as he didn't have enough of an idea about what was on the menu to make and informed choice of his own. Joining her in the booth that she picked out, after having paid. Leaning back in the seat, and making himself comfortable, Iaemor sipped at the soda. It wasn't the first time he had some, with his habit towards alcohol he had come across soda in the form of mixed drinks quite a lot.

"Thank you for the meal." He said with a smile in return to her own, using his free hand to pull out a few fries and bite into them. They weren't bad, though to him apart from their saltiness they were a little bland but he could see why people like them. "So you eat this stuff often?" He asked, he had seen that some people did all the time but wasn't going to assume it also applied to her.

"Not really." Chloe bit into a french fry. "Well, okay. Maybe I've been eating like this a lot more than I used to. Lots of stuff coming up to be stressed out about, you know?"

Such as the looming possibility of death for challenging powers far beyond anything she could handle. But the number of people who knew about that could be counted on one hand, and Iaemor wasn't going to be one of them.

"You've been helping with the stress though." She chuckled.

"Stressed? What is it that has been doing so?" Iaemor didn't know that Chloe had already intended not to tell him about the cause of her stress, so like anyone else found him asking her. A mix of both concern and curiosity with some level trying to find them something to talk about as they ate. He smirked when she added that he had been helping with the stress though. "Well it is pretty hard to stay stressed while having fun." He replied with a small chuckle of his own.

Leaning back into his seat, drink in han he watched her and waited for a reply. He thought that it was likely that it was school and stuff effecting her and knew he wasn't really made to help except the means of stress relief he must have been. It was like the world was looking down at them and laughing at how wrong his assumptions were.

"It's just... family stuff."

Shit, she shouldn't have said that. What if Iaemor was in on it? What if he was somehow working with Mikhainon? She'd have to find a way to stop him from prying. "Uh, that and school. Just, normal college stuff."

She chewed on her fried food. She probably seemed too hasty to move the subject away from family. Chloe tried to put something together to say if he asked about the family situation - something that wouldn't upset Mikhainon when he heard about it.

Iaemor was slightly surprised by Chloe's addmission that her stress was due to family before quickly adding that school was also an issue. He didn't really have much in the way of experiance to draw from about family issues. He and Maya both had a competitive nature and teased each other alot but their realtionship had always been a good one for the most part. He wasn't exactly sure what to say, taking a moment to drink in order to buy a few extra seconds to think of something. "Well I am not really the best guy to help with school stuff. Certainly not the smartest" Iaemor said with a smirk trying to lighten the mood by some self depricating humor.

"But if family seriously stressing you out either tell them to piss off or at least confront them about what it is they are doing." Iaemor suggested. He knew it wasn't the best advice someone could deal, especially as he didn't know what was wrong in any sort of detail.

Chloe wished she could do either of those things. Mikhainon wasn't going to back off so easily, though. This was the best she could do - sleeping around and forgetting for a while.

But she wasn't going to go into all of that. "Well," she said after a moment, "you certainly are a genius at one thing." Chloe winked at him. "New topic, though. What do you do for fun now you've been here for a while? Other than the people here." Chloe didn't have any trouble figuring out how to spend free time - she grew up with the internet. Iaemor surely didn't.
