It had been a good few months since Carlos first came to the island, and as such this was his first secret santa. Though he'd done some before at his old school; After all, he saw it as a great opportunity to meet people, and even exchange gifts with familiar faces. Not that his assigned secret santa was a familiar face; he'd been anticipating meeting her because of this. (At least, he assumed they were female, given the feminine name written on the note paper)

Choosing a gift was no problem, as there were a variety of fighting games available at any games store. He picked up copies of the latest Mortal Kombat and Tekken games, both from series he thought were generally enjoyable.

On the assigned meeting date, he sat on a bench near the entrance of the school, with the wrapped up game copies in a small gift bag next to him.

December had been pretty rad for Olivia so far. Capcom cup had been super rad this year even though Daigo didnt take home the win. And there was even a new Star Wars movie, CRAAAAAZY!!!

But Olivia had responsibilities, every year she signed up for the islands Secret Santa event, and she had became pretty good at giving rad gifts. This years target was Carlos Zeppeli, he wanted street magic and cards. Luckily Olivia knew this dude, who had this cousin that was a high profile street magician on the island 10 years ago, and he had written this cool book with loads of tricks. But all the tricks wernt fake, most of them involved actual legit magic, which was pretty cool.

Olivia had arrived at the meeting place, but she didnt know what Carlos looked like... She just stood by the benches and looked around for Carlos, but not Manta Carlos, because that was the island, and the island was everywhere.
