Private Finished Ultimatum

Fire safety boy jumped onto his desk. "FUCK! WHAT THE FUCK?" He screamed as a swarm of spiders skittered away beneath him. He looked up and saw Chloe laughing, then, seeing the ritual was over, took off his silencing charms. They had forgotten to tell him it was over the whole time; he had just been absorbed in his phone.

When this laughing was over, Chloe went to pick up the card. She fell quiet, still. She had been hoping to give Arach a hug before she left,r something like that. There was a part of her that still thought of Arach like family, and even though Arach had no reason to stay, Chloe wanted her to stay.

But she was gone. So was Mikhainon. Chloe didn't have anyone in her corner anymore, or at least not in the way she used to. It was better this way, yes. She was safer this way, she could have a future worth looking forward to this way, but... it was scary. She felt alone, in a powerful way that she hadn't felt since falling onto this island, crying away the fact that she would never see her family again. Now she had just finished pushing away some of the last blood family she had been able to rely on. Even with the steep price Mikhainon was trying to extract, he was still family.

Chloe told Nona that she was fine. After wiping the excess moisture away from her eyes, she finished scrubbing the floor.
