Suburbia in Manta Carlos was a weird thing to witness. Usually, there were cardboard cutouts of houses laid in identical slots, each a copy of the other. That's how it had been in the city in Greece. The dorms, too, were kind of the same formula. But these houses? No, they were all different sizes and shapes and configurations. Which kind of amazed the faun girl as she walked down the street. She hadn't dressed up or anything for this party. Not fancily, anyway - just a cute tank shirt and her own brown fur to complement it. She glanced at her phone screen. It had to be this street, right?
Tonight she was gonna party till she dropped. She finally spotted the house and was welcomed by a few friends of hers, who invited her in and started her off with a glass of (probably watered down and disgusting) beer. She took it anyway, and conversation, laughing and dancing soon followed. Within a half-hour Chris was completely at ease, humming and swaying along to the music, and most definitely a little tipsy.
"Okay, okay, okay, I'm gonna be right back," she told her friends, wiggling her cup at them. "I'm empty." And to the kitchen she went, groovin' along. She bumped against several people - who, if she was being honest, looked really trashy - on the way, but she got there anyway. Unfortunately, there was someone in the way. Wait, okay, they were kind of attractive. She smiled.
"Excuse me, hot giraffe, pass the brandy."
